  1. Oh go hunting in the Bangkok News.... Why have 2 seperate stories then FFS
  2. I think he was pointing to the fact that the original OP didn't show or mention an emergency vehicle. So where did the photo of this emergency vehicle come from?
  3. I believe London has heaps of CCTV. What say all you guys from there.... A good or bad thing?
  4. Her excuse? She is pointing at his undies... You see those skid marks? I am not cleaning those. He made mess, he clean his mess. I not his slave.
  5. Maybe the home owner was employing the woman to clean more than just the house, then his wife found out. Pure supposition.
  6. Geez I didn't know it had gotten that bad over there.
  7. It just that they don't know the saying.... 'If you've got nothing good to say, then say nothing' You see it a lot on AN.
  8. Soon it will be like Singapore with armed guards (Shotgun in hand) standing outside gold merchants. I wonder how many itchy trigger fingers will 'slip' in the coming years. In NZ there is a proliferation of kids doing ram raids, not just on convience stores but within malls too. Why? Because they know they can get away with it. If they do get caught they are of the age where they don't go to jail but attend a youth court. Too soft IMHO. There has to be a deterent or it will continue.
  9. Lately I've found that meat from the supermarket whose name is like a water plant/flower'ssss does not keep for very long. I'm less than 5 minutes away and the meat goes straight into the fridge. 4 days max and it's not looking or smelling good. Chicken seems to spoils quicker than pork. The missus says just to wash it and it will be OK. I say you can eat it but I'm not touching it. Even the dogs won't touch it. I've had food poisoning twice in my lifetime and that was twice too often. Good way at losing weight but not very pleasant. I've found local wet market to have better meat but then we go there at 4am. It certainly appears fresher and not previously frozen like some in Lotus'sss. (Woops shouldn't mention their name).
  10. Compared to convience stores in NZ, 7-11 is fantastic. Here they're open all the time, prices are the same no matter what branch you go to. They aren't a rip off over supermarkets. For example in NZ you could pay say $1 for a 1.25 litre of Fanta in a Supermarket . The same drink in a convience store will be about $3.50. I like it here. Most 7-11 have the same or similar set up so it's easy to find stuff. All good!
  11. Yep she sure is hot. I'm still doin it tough with no air con. Multiple cold showers throughout the day and a fan. It's night time I find the hardest. Room sits at around 34 till about 1am. Over night low 25 if we're lucky. The fan doesn't do much but circulate hot air. But on the bright side, all my skin pores are getting a good clean out. Reminds me of time in Mogadishu early 90s. Freakn hot and you sweat all day every day. I've never drunk so much water in my life. I suppose that a positive too. Still trying to get missus hooked on getting an a/c and the room insulated properly. Would be a godsend in this weather.
  12. Was in Mega Home (Korat) at the end of last year. Can't remember what I bought but at the checkout, the lady said in perfect English 'Thankyou for shopping here and have a great new year'. I was blown away and commented that her English was very very good. Had I been single, I may have visited that store a bit more often after that. She was very easy on the eye and lovely personality. In someways agree with the OP.
  13. Boys will be boys.... Mommy can you please pay my fine? Little brats can do anything they want with very little consequences to themselves.
  14. I've got an unopened DVD box set of the Prisoner back in NZ. Really enjoyed the series on TV as a young lad. Lotus Super 7. Big boys go cart. Fun fun.
  15. Where are all the women on this site? Those that know better stay away I'd think. Suppose that will be most of them. And it's safer for them to be in the 'closed women's forum' IMHO.
  16. Possibly shell shocked by all the meat on display the previous night. I'd think that's the only front line he's been in recently. Not acceptable behaviour in any country (Maybe Pakistan).
  17. Wait until more info comes to hand. Are the canal sides steep/angled/easy to get out of? Could the person swim? Alcohol involved? Too many unknowns
  18. So Luxon is visiting... Oh yay! The 2 smiling clowns are going to get together and accomplish the same as usual.... nothing.
  19. Tourist visas are not free. The printout from the Thai Embassy in Wellington NZ is correct. Visa exempt / visa on arrival is free. 2 different visas.
  20. My gut feeling is that the IO knows full well how the system via an agent works. As there are perceived back handers, perhaps the IO does not want this to stop? I agree with another post, apply for a non O visa back in your home country and follow up with the Retirement side of it on your return. Maybe via a different office.
  21. No reason why not. My missus has Thai and Belgium passports. She was using Belgium one in order to get into NZ easier. When we came back to Thailand she initially used the Belgium one but switched back on one of my visa runs to Vientiane. So it's possible.
