Point noted, my perception is that she looks quite youthful and bright in the first photo. In the second it appears that drugs may have found their way into her life. BUT thats just a perception. She could be the same youthful person who just wanted to get some ink done. Staging and lighting come into play big time with those photos. I'm sure if done professionally the second photo could have been more 'alluring'

I on the other hand, don't mind a bit of ink on women. Not full on everywhere and in full view. A couple of nicely placed tatts are fine IMO. Not tramp stamps for all to see. There is probably a fine line as to what's good and what's cheap looking. Run of the mill tatts look cheap, we all know them when you see them. The only other tatts I can't get my head around are black tattoos on dark skinned people... What's the point? Ya can't see them. Or is that the point? More and more people have them. From business people to sports people. They are not frowned upon as much as the use to be. Years ago in NZ they were usually associated with gangs. The police weren't allowed to have any showing. That's all changed. I did 23yrs in the military... never got one. Partially because I never saw a design that I liked. Each to their own as you said.

Bail denied for delivery rider who sexually assaulted 6 year old girl
Korat Kiwi replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Prison time is too easy for this sick m*****fakr. Like a rabid dog he should be put down. There is no excuse for this behaviour. -
The owner said if you speak Thai then get out!!
Korat Kiwi replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Well that taught her Bob. Imagine if everyone did that... She'd have no customers to bitch about. I too vote with my feet if service is poor. Plenty more places willing to take my baht and provide better service.- 235 replies

NASA's DC-8 Conducts Air Quality Mission Over Chiang Mai
Korat Kiwi replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The focus on the OP is about using a DC8 but then they show a photo of a Gulfstream 3 aircraft. It is mentioned that they are also using a Gulfstream 3 but why all the palaver focusing on the DC8 then? I think most people already know the outcome.... The air in Chiang Mai is bad. Don't need to spend $1000s to confirm that. -

Buying a 2nd hand car and converting to LPG
Korat Kiwi replied to JustAnotherFarang's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I think you may find quite a few 'converted' cars are already out there, so no doubt it can be done. BIL has a 2.4 camry on lpg. Nice car and smooth to drive... Just wish he'd dump the oversized muffler/exhaust system he has on it. Too bloody loud. As for economy? Well he's a bit tight so I'd say it's better than petrol ie cheaper to run. As long as you've got lpg refill stations in your area. -
Well it was on the cards. I'm not particularly worried. Don't break the law so what's to worry about? I'm sure there will be some additional inconveniences come extension of stay time, but that's nothing new.

How good are thai hotels with over 200 channels of....
Korat Kiwi replied to Goat's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Generally the higher quality hotels with all these tv channels are quite good I've found. There's at least 1 or 2 channels worth watching! Not sure if the OP question is about the TV channels or the hotels. Like most have stated, crapomoulie channels for English speaking guests. Hotels themselves can have great facilities tho. Swimming pools, gym (Not that I ever use one on 'holiday') carparks and fantastic buffet breakfasts. Stayed at 'flash' hotel in Vientiane, it had 100s of tv channels. Thai or Chinese only. Tried to find something in English.... Nada. Mentioned to front of house staff, should have saved my breath. -
Chiang Mai Immigration Requiring Your Monthly Income?
Korat Kiwi replied to jeffandgop's topic in Chiang Mai
So they want more photos, in front of the house, in the lounge, in the kitchen. One post said they even want photo on the bed and another in front of house with immigration staff. WTF... what's next? in the bed? With immigration staff? Hell why not invite them all around then we could have one big party. Forget the photos, why not go for a video? Then we could stream it live Surprised? NO -

Golden getaway: Thai woman swipes Chinese man’s credit cards in Pattaya
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Agreed, doubly so if he was 'entertaining' this slapper for the night. Years ago when I was single and visited this country, the first thing on arrival back to the room was to secure passport, cash and credit/debit card into the safe. Always best safe than sorry -
Chalong resident hits 30 million baht jackpot in national lottery
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
'A fool and his/her money' springs to mind. Good luck that you won it and all but as others have said, the trouble won't be far away. I'd be quietly moving to a new district and start life anew. -
Hmmm will be interesting to see what happens to this guy. Maybe he was disrespected and lost face. Natural reaction.... Fill them full of lead. Go pay homage to local monks and all is forgiven, after you flick 500 baht to any relatives. I wonder how much coverage this will be given before it's swept under the carpet.

Golden getaway: Thai woman swipes Chinese man’s credit cards in Pattaya
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
No names on the back of the cards? What were they erased by someone? Any excuse to get a sale huh? -
That is true, however if you don't live in the main centres the parking areas are hardly ever full. If I had a new wagon I'd probably park it well away from other cars. I know shopping trolleys still cause a lot of dents scratches etc but at least you may not have over eager brats opening a car door onto your vehicle. Those Rangers are nice but a bit over the top for me. My brother has got a 2009 Toyota landcruiser series 200. A big brute of a wagon. Way outside my pay scale at NZ$60K second hand. But at least he uses it.

Wart removal with Gillete Razor and Whiskey
Korat Kiwi replied to rexpotter's topic in Health and Medicine
Ouch that sounded painful! I was of the belief that it's a wart virus that causes them to occur. Cutting them off in your process is thereby likely to spread the virus resulting in more warts. I could be completely wrong however. I tried the salicylic acid method for a wart on my nose. It stung like hell, and I still look like a witch! One day I may try the dry ice method via a doctors surgery but I'll test the super glue method 1st. Hopefully without gluing a finger onto my nose!
