Lost in Translation: Foreign man’s tattoo trouble echoes Hangover II
Korat Kiwi replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Now this is funny.... hope he learnt from the experience. 1. Don't get so drunk that you can't remember what you did. 2. Don't brag about having sex with a lady boy. (Getting the tattoo is a dead giveaway). We all know it was the lady boy that had sex with you. My my my you're gonna be the butt of jokes for years to cum -
I'm not American so I don't get all wrapped up in the political scene in the States. However.... If this clown Trump is all that you've got, to put up as the next POTUS. Well there is something seriously wrong in your country. I agree that Biden is getting too old to continue but... Trump is a loose cannon. Come on people wake up. Get rid of this idiot. He's after your money only and anything that will boost his own empire.

A firearm huh... How about a naval gun to be precise. I'd like to see you but that 'firearm' into your shoulder.... Watch the recoil, it kicks a bit. FFS -

Singaporean motorist lashes out at Thai police officer over fine
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Unfortunately morality/fairness isn't part of their training. As people constantly say.... Easy pickings. Attacking a cop is never going to end well for the perp. That's just dumb. -
Flame game foiled: Chiang Mai crackdown scorches forest arsonist
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
I'm glad they ID'd the lighters.... referred to as pink, blue and green. I'll keep my eyes open next time I go bush. If I spot them I'll inform the authorities immediately. I'd hate for this to get out of hand. Whoops I already missed the boat. Chiang Mai and smoke season are well and truly underway... In fact it's nearly over. Yeah right! -
Overstay or extension?
Korat Kiwi replied to jimmybcool's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Id take the lesser of 2 evils and go get the extension. The risk although maybe small, if you get caught can be quite nasty. -
Frenchman’s trial unveils multi-million euro Rolex replica ring
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Over the years I've seen some very impressive fakes and some down right crappy ones. Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and the Middle East all have them if you know where to look. Heck you don't even need to get off your bar stool in Thailand. Dubai is a bit shady albeit risky as the cops don't turn a blind eye to much over there. In the Afghani markets you could get just about any brand you desired, they would even point out the grade of fake. Priced accordingly. Most of which I wouldn't wear in a shower (Definitely not waterproof) but some did look the part. Never liked Rolex but Brietling has some nice watches. -
Wow... What relief could I expect for 100 baht?

Seriously How Gullible Are Thai People?
Korat Kiwi replied to NONG CHOK's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
How much are you willing to lose is probably the question/answer. Asians are notorious gamblers. Went to a casino on Macau many years ago when the Portuguese still rented/leased it. My God... The money I saw crossing the table was way above my pay grade. And yet it was water off a ducks back to them. Not something I'd ever want to get addicted to. My missus likes to gamble but when times are tight she knows not to piss me off by wasting money. -
I get your drift. I've only been back in country a few months and are amazed at the amount of little brats I've observed in malls supermarkets and restaurants. Very rarely are they girls. Normally they are throwing a tantrum or shouting/screaming in a very high pitch. One of my few times in a KFC, this little prick was squeeling at the top of his lungs. After a few minutes I had enough... I looked directly at this little <deleted> and said rather loudly 'HEY'. He got the idea to shut the fak up. Parents do nothing. Don't give a toss about those around them or their brats behaviour. Maybe I'm a grumpy bastard?... I firmly believe in the saying about kids 'should be seen and not heard'

Is that the Two Ronnie's skit variety?

Cambodian worker crushed by cement in crane accident
Korat Kiwi replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I'm always amazed that people like the crane driver runs away. Why? Are they solely responsible for workplace accidents? Where do the construction companies' workplace responsibilities lie? Or do all responsibilities rest on the guy at the bottom of the 'food chain' ie lowest paid worker. I expect construction place insurance is non existent or a joke. Sad really -
The bottom end of Loi Kroh is not a red light area. Down under pub is near the iron bridge too and that's some hike if you want to get to the girly bars.

Korat Kiwi replied to samtam's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
In Vientiane they have kok kok move. EV TukTuks. Similar to Grab in that you use an app. Very cheap and oh so quiet. For the 3 Days I was there, they were great. I'd love to see them here -

When I was working in the ME, a lot of us transitted thru Dubai. Dublin Arms was a favorite spot for cold beer. Police are always about. A mate and I went for a walk to find something decent to eat. One place we ordered and sat outside. A fight erupted between 2 locals. Then everyone scarpered. We asked the restaurant staff what's up. They said the Police would have been called. They will turn up and arrest anyone in the area. WTF? We got our food and scarpered too. A lot of the girls I met were always alert and wary of the Dubai police. John's had to be careful too

Yes they do a few tests, but from what I have read it's nothing major. They can pick up if you've got glaucoma so they would get that fixed/treated 1st. But otherwise it's pretty straight forward. Knew a guy in my Army days, wore glasses most of his life. Had an opportunity to get Lasik done. He said he wished it was available years ago. And hasn't looked back since.
-
Do some research into Lasic Eye surgery. I sure you'll get people on here soon giving you the low down on it. I'm looking at getting it done next year.

Yep looks like HomePro is definitely on the radar. I'm just surprised the valves are giving out so often. I was of the belief that these ceramic valves were the bee knees vs the old washer type. At least you don't have to turn the tap a thousand times to get the water out. But they should at least seal properly.
