  1. Actually he just wanted to see her growler....
  2. Shot 6 times with an improvised shotgun. Wow that shooter is a quick reloader. Single or double barrel? I doubt it was semi auto being improvised but the shooter must have had a fair gripe to unload 6 shots.
  3. If you're going to quote me then use the whole quote....
  4. I'm not a Pattaya local and try and avoid going anywhere near the place, however I needed to be there last week. My previous visit was about 5 years ago. My the place has spread. Beach road is no longer the only main area. Accommodation seemed busy everywhere. I was only planning on staying the one night but due to a freakn slow bus from Korat and visa delays needed a second night. A lot of the place I saw were fully booked and using Agoda was really my only option. Even then it took a few attempts to find a free spot. Gotta return in 3 weeks so will definitely book well in advance if I decide to stay. Maybe hire a car and just do a quick trip from Korat. Won't use the direct bus again.... they state about 6 hrs but it was closer to 7.5hrs.
  5. I was in Pattaya on Thursday and Friday last week. Bus between there and MO Chit wasn't full but only about 6 seats empty. Speaking of Indians... There were a couple on board the bus. Now I don't know alot about their culture but bygeezus they talk loud. I don't think anyone on the bus couldn't hear them. Luckily after about 45 minutes they ran out of things to say. Not that we understood anything they said.
  6. It wasn't the sweet ending the driver had in mind... Sorry poor taste I know
  7. Hopefully Crossey will be along soon to give an informative reply. Sensors do wear out. Sometimes insects get caught in them and block the sensor as well. Depending on model you maybe able to just replace the sensor or have a spare one on hand for when your one finally dies.
  8. I'm the same as Oscar Wilde: "I can resist everything but temptation"
  9. Yes the mynas are smart/clever birds. They are very observant and they know when to sneak in to grab the cat or dog food. They can mimic other bird calls too.
  10. Should be easy for you GG.... Just go outside and act like a nut. (Maybe you don't need to act). They might even stay and listen while you recite some passages from Georgegeorgias' Psychometrics of Air. (Just joking)
  11. Fake number plate huh??? I don't suspect even for a moment that the driver paid for that story to be released by the boys in brown. Sceptical? Absolutely. Unless of course the driver was a drug runner and didn't want to stop because of what he was carrying. Might explain why he was heavy on the horn/siren. Pedestrian crossings aren't treated the same here as in my home country. I was amazed on my last visit to see cars stop if you're on their half of the crossing. I'd been away so long I'd forgot they were supposed to do that! Possibly what this poor soul thought.
  12. Is that to stop your underpants from sticking on a humid day? I just use talcum powder if required... but corn meal may be more economical!
  13. What about humble pie? The stuff I eat after one of my spelling mistakes is highlighted!
  14. After the initial report I thought this wouldn't end well for the Swiss national. I see it's playing out that way. Self entitled idiot is gonna get his just desserts.
  15. Should be easy to find when they sink it... Won't need US Navy help this time. Or maybe itll become a non submersible submarine... then we'll just call it a friggit.
  16. Well it not exactly a 600% increase like tourist visas for kiwis now is it! 5 to 10 baht.... FFS
  17. You have to have a laugh at some of the things people do or try... As they say you can't teach stupid
  18. Sick man that deserves the full weight of the law. (Or a bullet)
  19. "These enhancements will incorporate state-of-the-art technology that can scrutinise power banks without requiring passengers to take off their shoes." I didn't know that we were supposed to transport power banks in our shoes.... That's a new one!
  20. This is a recreational activity that carries risk. Like mountain biking. Most companies would/should have a risk document detailing indemnity which would be signed by the customer. Unsure if its applicable here. Things do go wrong on occasion, that's life. Is Thailand like the USA, in that if there is a smidgen of blame then you sue for all you can get? If at first you don't succeed then parachuting is not for you.
  21. 35... Way too young.
  22. I have some great memories visiting various bars in TST when the Brits were still renting the place. I was a lot younger then and probably got more <deleted> faced than was wise. Still I didn't get into trouble and managed to find my way home. Fun days
  23. I guess he got too see them naked shortly thereafter. Smart guy
  24. Well good luck with that..... I hope it bites them in the butt. Greedy corporates trying to get the last drop of blood out of customers by actually no additional effort. Dick wads
