When i lived in surin years ago in the house i build for only 350.000 baht i could spend as little as 5000 baht a month.Of course a quiet life then.Stayed home everyday and we had rise and chicken and pigs. BUT I have spend alot more on a funny nigth in Bangkok.I get a barbill about 70k for one night.I rang the bell several times but that was my choice. My pension is good.I get about 125 k a month.(baht) Sometimes i take 2 weeks just relaxing and don't go to bars.Sometimes visit thai friends and other times they visit me Then we share bills.

I guess they want believe whatever u tell them.2 of my friends lost their houses in hua-hin that they believed was their property for more then 15 years Now they find out that all the papers and the ownership was a lie from the agent. They tried to take it to court but it didn't help at all. They also tried to get their money back and didn't get anything.

If its nationwide its terrible for the people who get infected by this.I build a house in surin about 20 years ago. When we divorced i just gave it to my exwife. We have 2 kids together but they all live in my country.I go visit my kids grandparents everytime im in Thailand. My exwife and her new husband have build a new house and her parents live in the house i build. Not a big moneyloss for me.I see some houses in surin that costs millions of baht and I just wish them good luck.I will not invest anything in Thailand again.U cant trust this country at all. When im there i renting the time i stay and give the keys when i check out. No headache after i left.

The high court in Phuket have ruled that the 30+30+30 year leasing is not legal. That means that there are many owners who now dont have a legal contract there and their actually not have a rigth to stay there anymore. This is a scam that property agents have lured the investors with for decades.Im not surprised at all.

British Man Arrested After Violent Outburst in Phuket
norsurin replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
When i lived in surin brits there make alot of problems.Figthing..swearing..even stabbing other foreigners. I never went into British pubs/bars there.Just passed sometimes and overheard the type of words they using. My last visit in surin last year i see that all these pubs and bars was abandoned. This wasn't in surin city but in a smaller town.I never go inside a British pub or bar in Bangkok either. That been said i was in a British pub in hua-hin just opposite the police station and the owner was a wery nice person everytime i went there.A really gentleman. I dont mean that every brit is a bad person but many i see behave wery bad. When i see a foreigner toothless and a weight 150 kg up i just know his a brit. -
Weak Baht Fails to Spark Tourism Boom, Safety Concerns Prevail
norsurin replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Ur rigth. My first trip to Thailand was in 2003.Stayed about a month in Karon.Nice and quiet that time. The baht was low and everything was cheaper and safer.Lived in surin for 6 years..6 weeks on/off because i worked in Singapore and Malaysia.Took my exwife and our 2 kids to my country 18 years ago.Never regret that.Kids get good education and good jobs here I also remember Bangkok where u walked around and smell the streetfood everywhere.NOW it smells marihuana everywhere.I miss Thailand how it used to be.Anyway im still going there.Stay mostly in Bangkok and hua-hin.
