  1. Sukhumvit soi 4 == soi nana tai sukhumvit soi 3 -- soi nana nua sukhumvit 11 soi chaiyot Sukhumvit 55 -- soi thionglor Sukhumvit 63 -- soi Ekkamai Sukhumvit 77 -- soi onnut Sukhumvit 71 -- prakanong, klong tan, soi Pridi (yes thats 4 names) this is a few off the top of my head. if you look at the street signs MANY sois have alternate names
  2. its not that. hey use a satnav, they just cant read a map. My house is in a very small sub soi, tucked off a well-known Bangkok soi. It is a group of three houses surrounded by condos. It is clearly marked on the map, but not glaringly obvious from the street. I have also put detailed instructions on where to find it in every delivery service app I use. The instructions are both English and Thai. I can see those instructions under the address on their screens and order sheets when they arrive. They either can't or don't read the map or instructions. For years now they have been getting hopelessly lost. The first question I ask when they call is where are you? they inevitably answer -- "lobby" when I say "I don't have a lobby, I live in a house," the fun begins.
  3. I see that the police have arrested the man for sexual assault. Are you planning to pop by the station and offer them your interpretation? Explain it was a misunderstanding? The unwanted contact and the video is clear as is the fact that she was terrified. I'd say those are adequate details, thanks. His behavior is as heinous, as your attempts to dismiss it, Also, I did not twist the words, I provided a definition for them. My needs do not come into the equation. Stop watching detective shows. yeah, no. I don't touch people I don't know. Nor can i see why I would need to guide someone in an elevator beyond a tap on the shoulder if they could not hear me and were in my way. There are non-threatening ways to initiate contact, and your spurious example here has nothing to do with the actions of the man in the video Actually, i can see what happened in the elevator, video is like that. Again the unwanted contact is clear. Her fear is evident. If anything in the video he does appears like acceptable behavior to you, I think its best you stay in or find someone to keep you in line if you do venture out. you just get creepier with every post, doncha?
  4. speak for yourself, this does not affect me,
  5. You disgust me. This entire comment and the fact that you feel the need to make the distinction is creepy as fokk. While it may not have been outright assault it certainly was sexual harassment -- "a type of sexual violence that involves unwanted sexual attention, behavior, or comments that make someone feel unsafe, scared, or humiliated." then there is the distinction between harassment and assault which puts this back on the assault side of the scales. "Sexual assault refers to any physical sexual act that occurs without someone's consent while sexual harassment refers to non-physical sexual conduct such as gestures or sexual comments." The fact that he, a male, intimidated her and touched her without consent makes it assault, so you may watch yourself in future interactions.
  6. odd, i was busy hoping the woman is ok
  7. in a way, the building security worked, he tried to press other floors to delay the lift but was unable to without a card. She is lucky in her unluckiness
  8. What part of the phrase "cctv footage" confuses you?
  9. it off-gasses very rapidly if you have a tank ion premises and don't use water straight firm the mains. i have kept fish for decades without dechlorinating
  10. I do not drink Bangkok tap water regularly, but I have drunk it and I certainly brush my teeth multiple times a day with the stuff. I do occasionally use 50% tap water in my espresso machine because RO water can be harmful to the pipes and boiler. after 25 years here, I reckon I would have seen some negative effects already

  17. Given my decades of experience of Koh Phangan, the reason this person was warned was because he ventured up the police road or went to Thongsala on his scooter.
