  1. I spent 12,000 baht on a mid-range Samsung a year ago. Very happy with it. I use it for work a lot. Long battery life, internal memory, and waterproofing are important features for me.

  8. Having credit cards makes life a lot easier. I mostly use them for air tickets and hotels, and I don't use them a lot. Just pay the balance off every month and it doesn't cost you anything extra.

  18. Portable ovens, like the poster above shared, work well and are not so expensive. Assuming that you like to cook, baking expands the range of foods that you can prepare. I have one of these ovens and I really like it.
  19. Imho IPTV subscription is the way to go. They are fairly cheap (3500 baht/year) and provide a lot channels from many countries. I mostly watch sports, and the one I have is good for that. Can watch on tv, laptop, and phone. Try to get a provider that has fast tech support with the subscription.
  20. I've stayed at Nana Hotel twice in the past year. It surprised me. Value for money. Good location, good breakfast (including bacon), big pool, the rooms have all be renovated with nice beds and bathrooms, lots of elevators, friendly staff, and the rooms are quiet.
