One more valid reason to ban the burka in public places.

Would not it be funny if court ruling was in favor of Thailand .
I wonder who would be biting their elbows for already sending the letter of NOT recognizing the ruling
Maybe they already know the result.

As senaters of this country it is their duty to block this bill for the sake of peace and security. The people are speaking and politicians need to start listening.

Gee ! I wouldn't want to be a PT MP for quides at the moment. They are copping it from sides of the country. And rightly so. Something just has to give. And soon.

What a fool ! And dressed the way he is, with no respect for Thai culture, he was bound to get pulled up and checked. Good luck getting a syringe full of growth hormone in jail big boy !

We all know from history that Thammasart Uni students don't do things in halves. It is a statement made by citizens like this that may tip the pendulum.

I am glad the UN's ICJ looks like they are on top of this dispute. Start loading up the fuses and charge bags lads.

The governor of Chonburi can confirm that :
1] Boat hit a rock before the captain tried to continue on to Pattaya without warning the passengers.
2] Boat was a construction transport vessel. Not designed to be used as a commercial passenger vessel therefore it is illegal.
3] As of 2 hours ago, yes both captain and deckhand are on da run.
I cannot believe the governor of Chonburi said the boat was illegal, and not designed for passengers.
1==How long had it been operating ????
2==Where did it get it's license from ???
3==Who issued the license ???
4== Who were the actual owners ??? not the captain/ crew. I am guessing they are only paid.
5==Who knew besides the governor the boat was illegal ???
My take on this for what it's worth, news flash stated that the captain was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, He wants stringing up--TOGETHER WITH THE BOAT OWNER. and the issuer of the licensed of an illegal vessel.
I am with you on that one.

Yes my wife said it was the last boat ,so a rush to get on and overloaded .
That is exactly why it was overloaded.

The deckhand admitted to police that he was high on Yaa Baa at the time the boat struck the rock causing it to sink.

November 5 is the day when a global body remembers, wa fo (Guy Fawkes Day), which is the date that the parliamentary dictatorship was attacked ...
V global are organising a big worldwide protest, and Thailand V will join at the democracy monument at the same time to remember history of the inscription.
November 5, 2013
No Amnesty 2.jpgV For Thailand, Kong worldwide by unison.
Now this is a grass roots protest movement that is growing organically.
The democracy monument is where the crowd is at right now.

Shame on Norway for allowing wanted criminals into their country.
Criminal perhaps but I wouldn't go so far as to say he's "wanted" by anyone. High ranking police officers and officials visit the man overseas and bend to his wishes. I don't think any real effort has ever been made to capture or extradite him. I'd hardly expect any other country to step in and play international police when the Thai government itself only shows interest in following his orders, whitewashing his crimes and letting him keep on keeping on in the meantime.
I'll have you know that the democrat government were hunting him down day and night for two and a half years. They even had interpol onto him. Well that's if you believe the democrat government with abhisit as its' head and they always tell the truth, right?
Yes I remember the UK government revoked his Visa, and a few countries wouldn't let him in. A bit different to today, a convicted criminal with a valid Thai passport attending official Thai government functions in foreign countries. But good to see your back to formula Fab4, its all there, red spin, blame Abihist and flame the post, I guess flame the poster will be next.
Got a house out San Kampaeng Fab ?

The crowds of " forgiveness " are growing rapidly. Even considering the country is in " mourning. This government won't see out the end of the year unless she blinks.

Fresh of the press 15:56
Police have the boat captain in custody and have conducted an interview. In the interview the driver / captain has admitted that he was under the influence of both drugs and alcohol at the time of the accident. Which had impeded his ability to drive the vessel therefore steering it into a rock causing the ferry to sink.

Ferry sinks near Thailand's Pattaya, Russians among passengers - embassy
PATTAYA: -- A ferry with tourists has capsized in Thailand, near the beach resort city of Pattaya, Russia’s embassy in the country has confirmed to RT. At least five people have died, RIA Novosti news agency reports.
At least three of those killed are foreigners, Russia’s embassy consulate said. Their citizenships are now being established.
"There is no information on the nationality of the dead. It is known that among the injured were two Russians - a woman with a child. They were taken to hospital in the city of Pattaya,” Andrey Dvornikov, head of the consular department of the Russian embassy in Thailand, said. "Most likely there were many Russians on board,” he added.
So far, a total three Russians have been hospitilized.
The incident took place about 100 meters off the island’s Nuan Beach at about 5.30pm, the Bangkok post reports. The ferry carrying more than 50 Thai and foreign tourists was completing its last trip for the day and capsized en route to the mainland.
The report said that the ferry sank very fast and many people on the crowded boat had no chance to jump out.
At the same time, the National News Bureau of Thailand, the 12-meter long vessel was licensed to carry up to 150 people, but witnesses said that it was carrying over 200.
However, there has neither been any conformation of that nor any official reason of the accident.

The 12 meters long vessel...impossible, 200 passenger on a 40/42 feet boat... preposterous!
19 meters I read.

Word on the street is the captain and deck hand are on the run and police have warrants out for their arrest. Anybody heard anything about that ?
Survivors are reporting that 15 minutes after leaving Koh Larn for Pattaya the boat came to an abrupt stop. When they asked the captain what was wrong, the answer was " out of petrol ". Not long after that she started taking on water rapidly which caused some passangers to jump off into the ocean. Others were grabbing for life vests, which they say there wasn't enough for all and that some were out of repair, before jumping into the sea. The elderly and children that weren't capable of jumping into the water went down with the ferry.
