  1. Seems I have acquired a browser virus in the last 24 hrs or so, randomly websites redirect to http://parking.ps/, there doesnt seem to be any pattern on how or why, I have noticed that in the last hr its only been doing it in Google Chrome incognito mode while normal mode has been fine.

Ive been Googling and most of the results ask me to donwload a program to clean it which looks very suspicous to me eg:

    http://www.cleanpcguide.com/remove-parking-ps-removal-guide-how-to-remove-parking-ps/

Ive been trying to follow the manual instructions to but I havent been able to find any evidence of Parking.ps in my installed programs or processes etc

  2. its funny how they choose to do this for only for Line as they are based in Asia and therefore somehow that makes it easier and ok to do but Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp etc are the big bad farang companies so they dont even bother because they will know they will get told to get stuffed.

What was that comment the cop said about they had 'taken enough from Thailand' or something? What exactly have they 'taken' from his precious Thailand apart from people's time?? blink.png Or is it just the fact that he realises its a huge business space that is not tangible and therefore he cant get his snout in the tough?

    so childish

  3. This just started happening yesterday and it seems to be only Gmail doing it. When ever Gmail auto saves a new email that Im writing (which seems to happen when you pause typing for more than 2 seconds or so) the cursor is moved outside the body of the email so I have to stop and manually click it back to where it should be, as you can imagine this is making writing emails almost impossible.

Any ideas why this could be happening or how to fix it?

  4. Can someone please tell me how to say 'supposed to' eg 'you are supposed to drive on the left side of the road'

If you could write here in thai also that would be great thanks

Sent from my GT-I9100T using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

  5. OK so I have a... 'local' version of Windows 7 running on my desktop. I want to get a real Windows OS for my PC and was wondering should I get 7 or 8? Ive heard a lot of bad things about 8 but if Im going to be shelling out 5k or so for an OS in 2013 shouldnt I be getting one that I can use for years to come? If I got 7 would there be a time when I would eventually be forced to upgrade to 8?

If I do want to get 8 is there anything I need to be aware of? I use my PC for the following:

Work, mainly in open office and MS office, Google Chrome etc

Gaming - 90% of the time with Steam

  6. I recently upgraded to a gigabyte z77x mb, a cheap radeon hd 6870, i5 3570k oc at 3.8ghz, 8 gig kingston ddr 3 1600 ram and a 128 gig ssd hd with a 2tb sata hd. I kept the power supply, tower, monitor from an old celeron box and I canrun all the latest games in normal-high settings (bioshock 3, grid 2, tomb raider..) in 1920x1080. I bought all the parts between jjb and bana it, imo the expensive top line gfx card are just a waste of money so you can feel good putting all the settings to max rolleyes.gif

Yes and no. I have found that with the multi platform titles such as Far Cry 3 even when you put them on max settings they dont look that much better but this is more than likely due to the fact that they are built for the consoles first and not PCs. Try running a game like Arma 2 where there is theoretically no limit on what can be going on at the same time on your i5 and see what happens, even on my rig when there are planes and choppers all over the place, hundreds of npcs etc I cant run it on max settings without it getting laggy

  7. The only way you would be able to get finance that I know of is with a Thai credit card so unless you are working here I dont think you can do that. Looks like you will have to save up for a few months.

I would say 40k is the roof for your budget, no need to spend more, mine was about 35k, its an i7 with 8GB ram and a GTX660Ti 2GB (the most important part as others said above), and then I bought mid range motherboard etc, get a good tower though with plenty of vents especially at the front with a fan. This was back in Oct last year so probably already cheaper now. I chose all the parts at Banana IT (most malls have one) and they assembled it for free. It runs all the top games in terms of graphics such as BF3, Far Cry 3 and Arama 2/3 on high to max settings without a problem cool.png

I do not have a SSD hd though, so does this make games run faster? How?

Yeah i would finance it through my girlfriends credit card because it would be a lot harder for me unless i pay in cash. I would probably go with new haswell i5 4670 non k,maybe gtx770 or even can wait if amd will put new gpu on scene(hearing rumurs about hd8000). But the big problem is nobody is selling pre-built decent gaming pc's,so i don't even have the option except building my own.I wouldn't mind even get a shit Alienware, but here price is100.000baht which is nonsence.

I was thinking to get prebuilt i5,8gb ram, some gtx770/7970ghz for 45.000baht(as long its monthly payment).I was hoping to find somewhere store that sells something like that but what i found is only really shitty below gtx640/7570 specs for 50-70k. Well i guess i'll have to wait few months to buy it.

One more thing. I noticed from your previous posts they you owned xbox360 also.So probably you have online game experience with both. Maybe if you can tell me if you can compare both pc and console which has most player base here and around SEA? With games like bf3,gta,far cry,fifa/pes and other modern games.

( i would't have problem with that in europe but here i don't know how things stands with player bases)

Yes used to have an Xbox 360, then a PS3 which I still own, then got back into PCs in October last year. When you are out here in Asia online gaming is harder then the west do being able to pick and choose the servers you connect to like you can only do in PC games is far better than with consoles

  9. Bangkok, near Bangna upper sukumwit area.

Yesterday my Gtalk kept signing in and out in Gmail, everything else was fine.

Today lots of random websites are incredibly slow and some will not resolve at all while others are fine.

Speedtest tells me everything is fine - even though I stopped believing that site a lot time ago

Pinged a few sites and servers around the world and getting random results from 50ms to unable to connect messages

Already tried rebooting/restarting everything and flushed dns.

Any suggestions? Getting irritated now and need to access a lot of websites :/

  10. I had a new one built at Banana IT in Paradise Park last October, chose all the parts I wanted and they built it for free.

    i7 (only 2-3k more than i5)

8GB RAM (that is plenty and easy/cheap to add more later)

GTX 660 Ti 2GB (this was pricey, about 11k)

Not sure what my motherboard is, basically the above 3 things are the most important. I also got a kick ass jet black case with lots of fans and vents so it stays cool. Whole rig cost about 35k and then got a 23 inch 1080p HD monitor for 6k.

My rig plays the following games without breaking a sweat and they usually auto adjust to the high settings:

Battlefield 3 (still the benchmark game for graphics in my opinion)

    Batman Arkham City

    Far Cry 3

    Skyrim

    Arma 3

I checked the specs for Crysis 3 the other week and I will be able to play that on high settings too smile.png

Hey,does Banana IT has some hardware price listing? I looked on their website but it really sucks, they only got some of the hardware, many of them pretty low end

Not sure, actually I had to get the gfx card from the shop next door as they didnt have any of the ones I wanted, everything else I got in Banana tho
