There might be, if they keep postponing the trial long enough. 😄 -

You can identify as whatever you like Chomps. 😄 But please don't push the inaccurate label onto others. By the defintion of the word, I (and most others on the forum) are expats. -

I see. Sadiq Khan's mate. It's all fitting into place. -
Hungarian PM Orban Trump's Presidency to Spark European Right-Wing Surge
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Orban talks a lot of sense. Hopefully he will form a good relationship with Trump and Musk to further stand against the tyranny of the EU. There are plenty of other nation states in the EU sick to their back teeth of the failing, corrupt, authoritarian federalist project that the EU has become. -

It's a prediction. Predictions surround future events. We'll revisit this in August. Then I will provide you with your precious link. Why do you think they postponed the trial by the way? I'd love to know your thoughts. 😄 -

Lame. Even by your standards. 😄 Tourists coming to Bangkok for the weekend pass through immigration. They are not immigrants. -

No I didn't have a link to the Trump victory or the Brexit leave vote until they happened either. Patience Grasshopper. You'll get your link. -

You really need to learn the difference between immigrant and expat. Or more accurately, stop pretending you don't know the difference in order to label expats as immigrants. -
Trial Postponed for Labour Councillor accused of inciting violence

Yes I suspect I overestimated their intelligence. 😄 It would have been the perfect time to give him the suspended sentence they already negotiated. Maybe they know something big is coming in August? Maybe Starmer knows he will be gone by then? Or maybe they thought burying 2 stories on the same day was too much so they chose the guilty plea of the Southport terrorist second gen immigrant child killer instead? -

And still walking around a free man since August 7. Now not even due in court for what will be a full year after this hate speech and incitement to violence. Unlike the "right wing" FaceBook posters who were arrested, charged and jailed for unusually lengthy terms within a week for posting on social media. Amazing what being a Labour supporter can do in 2 Tier Keir's Britain. -
UK Rising Tide of Misdiagnosed Mental Illness: A Crisis of Perception
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The UK is in such a mess I am not surprised there is a mental health crisis, especially with Starmer in charge. It poses an interesting philosophical question. Are people mentally ill as a result of living in Britain, or does one have to mentally ill to continue to live there? Most of my childhood friends who had anything about them have emigrated and are doing extremely well. The only one who remained who is successful works as a middle manager at the NHS. His wife "works from home", also for the NHS although she's always hosting coffee mornings for her friends when I visit. Occasionally a laptop can be seen, but rarely on. The rest of them struggle through an existence of huge mortgages, high energy prices, high taxation, poor public services, bad weather, high crime rates, changing Demographics etc. Couldn't pay me to live there. -
Give it a rest. A few blokes in fancy dress protesting. The sentences were well over the top. It's not like they were gun toting, coke snorting, hooker using degenerates like the son "good ol' Joe" pardoned. The Libs need to get over it. Trump is in power now, and he isn't messing around this time.

He can start by listening to the public's very real concerns rather than lying to us, hiding the truth, trying to silence us with bullyboy tactics and labelling everyone who wants an end to this murderous terrorism "far right". I won't hold my breath though. This is mere lip service from a man under enormous, well deserved pressure.
