  1. Actually I find quite a number of rentals listed on various online websites but none for the Nan area with the exception of some very small 1 BR 1 Bath apartments like homestays. What is 'new Nara'? NOTE: I will drive around some of the residential areas, look, and ask about the next time I'm in Nan. I did that last year and had no success.
  2. .....and yet how many centuries ago did man start growing different plants? Didn't God create the plants? How about seeding the clouds and making it rain?
  3. FIRE!!!!!!! It will kill anything!
  4. Put down the bottle and smoke a big fatty.... love, peace, soul brothers for life!
  5. Well society knows that you were born as a male with a penis but you feel like a female so it's okay that you use the same public restroom as the females........ and that's normal? 555 If you ask me, 'society' is not normal these days!
  6. I was thinking more of a .22 caliber bullet....
  7. I didn't say chalk was the best, it just works for my need. I can get the chalk for 20 THB and do so within 5 minutes from the house. Easier than waiting a few days for a Lazada shipment and far cheaper than 230 THB. Tell me, is the Bayer Quantum ok for young kids to eat? ????
  8. If illegal then why does nearly every store in Thailand sell it, including large chains? Just like many things, eat it and it'll make you sick. Eat enough and it just might kill you. My cat don't eat it and as far as children, my daughter is almost an adult and she has no desire to eat it. If you have young children then it's like anything else that can be a danger to them, that's where good parenting comes in to play as well as a continuous watchful eye. Do you let you child play with wall sockets? Are wall sockets and electricity illegal? Hmmmmmm....
  9. That link was not for chalk. Think of chalk used for writing on a chalkboard, doesn't it stay on a wall? Here’s ant chalk.
  10. Buy that chalk that is used to keep ants away and perhaps put it around the perimeter of your electrical outlet so the ants can't crawl on the cord. Ants were always getting in the cat's food bowl so I put a circle of that chalk down and then put the bowl inside the circle...... no more ants in the cat food.
  11. Why is it so difficult to find a decent rental property somewhere close to or in the city of Nan? I have been looking for quite awhile to find a rental house (small - 1 or 2 BR), condo, or apartment but have been unsuccessful. Is it a lack of or doesn't Thais advertise rentals online? If anyone has any ideas how one could find a place or even an agent who could assist please send me a PM, it would be greatly appreciated.
  12. Sure. load it up..... and might as well load it on your friends' and family's PC too.
  13. My father-in-law who served a couple tours in Vietnam had PTSD. If he was sleeping and heard a loud noise he would roll out of bed and hide under it.
  14. Reminds me of one of the hotels in BKK I used to frequent when traveling here on business over 20 years ago...... They had a TV in the shower!
  15. While living in China I saw many men beating their women in public almost on a daily occasion. I was told by a close Chinese friend (female) not to get involved as it probably wouldn't be good for me. And here in Thailand I was told pretty much the same thing from a close Thai friend (male) during one of my first trips here well over 20 years ago. Matter of fact he had even told me not to provide aide to any Thai I saw injured in an accident even though I was certified in CPR at the time. He informed me that if I touched the injured person and they became disabled or even died because of the accident that their family might say it was my fault and sue me.
  16. Well back in the USA I had a couple plants growing at the edge of my strawberry patch. Here in LOS I found some at Rimping when I was living in Chiang Mai. That was about 2 or 3 years ago and was the last time I was doing any serious baking.
  17. Nice!! Reminds me of the two things I made back in the USA using old refrigerators. One was a smoker to smoke the many Kokanee salmon that my friends and I snagged. The other was a CO2 kegerator which was heavily used..... Damn I miss those pony kegs of great Colorado microbrews!
  18. Strawberries can be frozen and used for baking pies.... Luv strawberry-rhubarb pie!!! I have even used frozen strawberries when making homemade ice cream. I have never tried growing strawberries here in Thailand but grew them easily back in the USA. They seem so expensive here and unless you go somewhere and pick your own most in the stores are moldy and starting to rot or else too green to eat. My father and step-mother spent very little on groceries. She was always canning the things grown in our big @$$ garden (damn I still dread about weeding that thing thinking about it). With my father being an avid hunter/fisherman as well as having a part-time job/hobby as a taxidermist there was always meat in the multiple freezers they had...... I miss all that wild game... Wild boar, deer, elk, antelope, duck, rabbit, goose, pheasant, grouse, dove, turtle, frog, and just about every freshwater fish you could name.
  19. We had a little sprinkle last night that lasted about 20 minutes. Got soaked up real quick.
  20. Wow, you had a great job, I pumped gas (& diesel) for $1.15 an hour..... all while going to college full time! Yepper, worked 48 hrs. a week and went to school full time. Hardly any time to sleep or study. ....and while staying at my brother's in Ft. Lauderdale we went to Miami a few times. Didn't see Springsteen but we did hit some of the fancy clubs and of course South Beach to see all those lovely breasts!!! NOTE: I did see Springsteen back in the late 80s at 'Big Mac' (Denver). The ticket was a birthday gift from an old girlfriend. Good concert but not my favorite one.
  21. Someone made a fuse for you? Hmmmmmm.........
