If you're vaccinated, would that automatically give a positive test?

Your building, your rules pretty much.
These are the rules for accessing our worksites in BKK, obviously you wouldn't want to implement all of them for a small group of workers.
- A list of all personnel from contractor and subcontractors must be provided to client
- Covid Test to be done by all members with the name in the list – Who will be directly working at site (It does not apply for management and senior management staff), and certificates from hospital or test center to be provided within this week
- People who got infected by Covid previously can use the last certificate up to 2,5-month-old
- Teams allocated to work at sites must not be under rotation and must work at least 14 days at the same location prior to change to other work location (contractor approach to minimize the spread of people)
- Site supervisor (one per team) must use an armband (general armband can be bought anywhere)
- Rest and eating area need to be proper segregated, client rooms are not to be used for it, further discussion along the week will be made however it’s not a blocking point now
- Sticker to identify the vaccinated people could be further implemented
I'd stick with negative tests or a vaccination certificate (the Mor Phrom app produces a vax cert).
Just for interest, why are "management and senior management staff" excepted? Is there some reason why they can't carry Covid?

Yes, got my first dose of Pfizer 2 weeks ago, my second is due next week.

I've had this combo. No way for me to tell how effective it is, but side effects wise, AZ virtually nothing, Pfizer laid me up for a day or so.

Until this Covid crisis, vaccines took 10 years to develop. Makes you wonder why.

Rules or not, I'm a condo dweller and don't want these here. Fire risk on balconies, nuisance and vermin risk elsewhere. Sorry, but there are places for BBQ's and a condo isn't one of them.

No 50% without alcohol. Even if people go to eat, they'll leave after instead of having a few drinks first.

I'm 6'3 (188cm) and am used to ducking. Feet are more of a problem; Thai stairs are often so short that I can only get half of my (UK size 12) feet on them.

There are very few undriveable road conditions. In the West we are taught to modify our driving so as to be safe within the prevailing conditions. Thai drivers seem to believe that the road conditions will adapt to suit them and don't change anything. Wet, dry, night, day, drunk, sober, tired......... they drive in the same manner. And they die. A lot.

I asked the hospital about a vaccine cert, got this reply;
"Well received your email, you will get a medical certificate that mentioned you have got 2 shots from us.
No worries, we will hand it to you when you have completely received the 2nd dose.Thank you"That's one Thai who learned English from an Aussie! ????It does answer the question though.-

When I registered (over 60, obese) there was a place to upload a certificate or Doctors letter proving my condition. I don't have one - I'm fat, not sick - so I uploaded a photo of my gut.
It worked, no questions and I got my jab, second one due in 9 days. ????

The problem is people know they wont get an "upgrade". If they accept Sinovac now the gov. will consider them covered and they wont be able to register for anything else that may or may not become available later. It would be different (better) if privately sourced jabs weren't being inexplicably prohibited by Prayuth and his gang... but they are, so the choice is to accept an inferior jab from the gov. or wait and hope for a better option later.
People have gone 18 months of COVID now without being vaccinated, and for many it really doesn't affect them personally in their daily lives. The economy they live in might be decimated but they themselves aren't travelling so they don't need the jab. As far as they're concerned they may as well wait.
My wife got Sinovac this week, she's booked for AZ 3 weeks later. This seems to be the plan now - and reports say it's at least as effective as AZ x 2.

If a person in a customer-facing role refuses to get vaccinated then, IMO, they have dismissed themselves. The employer has a duty of care to his customers and having safe staff falls within that.
However, I don't think someone should be penalised if they're TRYING to get vaccinated, but can't. Sent home yes, but with some wages and a job to come back to once vaccinated
In an ideal world. Which this isn't.

I have zero sympathy for anyone going on holiday during a global pandemic without making certain that they have funds for all emergencies. And countries going on and off the red list isn't even an emergency, it's expected! That's how red lists work!
What would they have done if they had got sick, or fell off a rock, or anything.
Idiots.

Well, the restaurant I want to visit won't have vaccinated staff, I believe they've applied, but nothing yet.
The owner is a rabid anti-vaxxer, so he won't be pushing it.
Me, I've had 2 jabs, but from 2 places, so no certificate yet.
Should be interesting. ????

It's a nice picture but not exactly rare. The area is part of the home range of the Bryde's Whales in the Gulf. There's one excellent company who are involved in conservation and can pretty much guarantee that they'll find whales for you. We've been twice, heading out from Samut Sakhon, and weren't disappointed. Once we didn't really lose sight of Bangkok's tallest buildings and the other time they had to take us a bit further south. Makes a great day trip.
Do you have contact details please? PM me if it isn't allowed here. Thanks.

Can't help there. I always pay by bank transfer via the Lazada app on my phone.
That stopped working for me and I was pushed towards the Wallet a few months back. Registration was easy on my phone, impossible on PC. Now I just keep it topped up, no issues yet.

The main thing if you're buying an Android box or subscribing to a streaming service is; don't go for the cheapest. Buying good is cheaper in the long term.
