  1. Seemed to have pulled you in with all the other "fools".
  2. That of its own does not prove truthful reporting. if you check it just means they made a nice documentary/podcast etc. The awards are by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Press_Gazette a magazine. Pre online circulation was 2,500. https://awards-bja.pressgazette.co.uk/ 'On 19 October 2006, Freud announced that the magazine was for sale, citing as a reason indifference in the newspaper industry to the British Press Awards' Got that, indifference in the newspaper industry to the British Press Awards So what does that mean? Do you know how these awards work? They organise an award ceremony and sell $50 catering tables for $XXX and people pay it to collect their awards. https://awards-bja.pressgazette.co.uk/on-the-night/ How do I know? I worked in publishing. On 6 April 2009, Wilmington Group announced the May 2009 issue would be the last,[8] but the magazine was purchased on 22 April 2009 by Mike Danson of the Progressive Media Group, shortly after he attained full control of the New Statesman, in April 2009.[9] The Wilmington Group retained the British Press Awards. 'Progressive' Media Group - does that tell us anything? New statesman from Wiki Today, the magazine is a print–digital hybrid. According to its present self-description, it has a liberal and progressive political position.[3] Jason Cowley, the magazine's editor, has described the New Statesman as a publication "of the left, for the left"[4] but also as "a political and literary magazine" with "sceptical" politics. Not exactly unbiased are they?
  3. Being drafted or having a friend die of Agent Orange is not of its own proof. Agent orange deaths were not necessarily combat related - being in a sprayed zone does not of its own indicate combat - there may have been no contact. most casualties were apparently from mines, booby traps and snipers opening up. You seemed to answer indirectly, it appeared as an oblique deflection. if you were indeed in combat accept my retraction and respect for your service which is separate from whether the conflict was right or wrong.
  4. What's the source? The Guardian itself? By who? The Guardian and the interests it serves by promoting their narrative?
  5. This is for the original conversion to a Non O from VE or TR. In the last few years for this CW have been giving a two week extension during which they visit you at home. Didn't used to be a thing before they became "Freudian" about tying people on one year extensions to their address while criminals fly in and stay in unregistered accommodation.
  6. Visits on conversion to Non O are a last few years thing. Never did it before.
  7. Perhaps you have not applied for a conversion to Non O in the last 15 years.............................
  8. Why not, the worst that could happen is that they viciously assault you.
  9. Buy a metal french press. glass ones are too nerve wracking.
  10. Some claim not, but TM30 is checked at CW even if they don't ask for hard copy. It is also checked indirectly via 90 day report - they won't extend without a 90 day report and you can't do that without a TM30 filed. Agents need TM30 docs at CW.
  11. Because some drink and make noise all night while you are trying to sleep. Can't close a door without slamming it in the middle of the night. General low class leery behaviour. Sitting around in the common areas eating and drinking. Some can be well mannered but that is apparently unusual.
  12. I don't really understand why such an intrusive visit is needed for a retirement application. You would already have confirmed your address via TM30. This obsession with verifying address for one year extensions while meanwhile all kinds of flotsam and jetsam flies in and stay in unregistered ST lets.
  13. She might have been testing the number Imm will call you on to tell you when they are coming to do the home visit. I have never experienced or heard of a request for money from CW counter staff.
  14. You need to get out more Bob, 3 years per passport on Ed Visas. Now have an albeit small number of them in my BKK CBD Condo. Range from drunk all night scum to polite and well mannered.
  15. They are more and more in Bangkok now also.
  16. Will they be able to get time off their job in Thailand to attend these?
  17. On another thread one in Suk Soi 19 and one in Suk Time Square building were recommended.
  18. With considerably fewer departures.
  19. Snake venom is not like the movies, it is horrible stuff.
  20. Don't see how they would have to IF they went out every 180 days rather than extending (once) at Immigration. Unless you go to Immigration you are under the radar. there is no check on exit.
