In our building they were previously picking up the keycards from reception but that has changed. People arriving with luggage are now stopped from entering and questioned - I have seen it, but don't know how it ends. While we are trying to control this I would suggest that "Peter" asks his guest to wait in reception and comes and collects him/her. It could be a temporary enforcement that could be relaxed. Previously reception have called up to me when a guest has requested entry. Following behind someone opening the door with a keycard is a difficult one. Open to suggestions as to how to control this - I follow on if someone opens the door in front of me and understandably they don't ask if I am a resident. Maybe the solution is a faster closing door - too fast for someone sitting in a chair in reception and anyone hanging around the door should be asked who what they are doing/who they are here to see - call up to the room for confirmation. If no confirmation ask them to leave.

They are in a position to act following changes and the Committee Member I have spoken to is very much on top of things and implementing solutions via the Juristic Person - I am asking on here as there may be some things we have overlooked or not thought of e.g how do you control access via a fire escape door that opens both ways and can't be locked (obviously).
-
Thanks - we have people using the fire exits to enter and leave as away of circumventing keycard security. It had been jammed open with a metal plate screwed into the concrete floor by pro ST Let owners (one assumes), but with that removed it can't be locked for fire safety reasons (2 way open, not open one way fire door). I think the assumption where people are sneaking into the building like this should be to assume criminal intent and they should be stopped and handcuffed while we establish what the situation is (likely no key card or one key card amongst the four people in one studio). Others pick up their ST let keycards from outside, but often one keycard and multiple tenants it seems.

Slight difference, My Landlady uploaded her father's (the owners) details but did not fill in the address in the data page. I would assume you can register a property in advance of registering tenants staying there, especially as you can register multiple properties, but that might not have been thought through.
-
You mean it confirmed back that your TM30 was filed after entering just the address, with no further details entered such as name Passport dates etc, or do you mean it confirmed registration of address. The difference here may be that you are registering yourself for your own property and thus details of you are on file whereas property owner and me are not the same in my case.

Landlady sent info to get passwords and we can now log in however she didn't enter address for fear of cancelling my existing TM30 - we have just had an email reminder to enter address. SO: Is it possible to enter address and save without entering additional data which would lead to a new TM30 filing - I assume you can enter address only without this cancelling existing paper TM30, no?

Immigration and Police Conduct Nightlife Security Sweep in Nana Area

The whole area is a free trade zone where work permit and other laws don't apply. -
Thailand issues visas solely for the benefit of Thailand. Example work visa/WP. Issued for the benefit of Thailand/Thai company for skills that cannot be sourced in the local market - "foreign expert". There are no work visas so that people can polish their resume with some Asian experience. Now, apply that template to volunteer visa with young unskilled people. This is how I think the Thai authorities see it against a backdrop of a clampdown on NGO's some of which they see as just holiday vehicles for foreigners and some they don't really want here because they are sticking their noses in and commenting when it is not wanted (and in some cases are legitimately entitled to reject IMO. NGO's have no right to try and coerce Thailand in accordance with the views of the NGO. Why should Thailand accept NGO's who are at odds with Thailand). https://www.civicus.org/index.php/media-resources/media-releases/open-letters/5786-thailand-s-abusive-draft-law-on-not-for-profit-organizations The NGO's themselves make it clear why Thailand has the right to reject them. Thailand is a Sovereign state and the Governance of Thailand is a matter for Thais.

Weltwärts https://www.weltwaerts.de › ... weltwärts stands for development engagement, global learning and equitable encounters. Learn more. weltwärts – one step further. Experiencing and understanding . This seems to be for the benefit of young Germans. Thailand's idea of "voluntary" is them getting something tangible for free, not hosting gap years. I suspect the real issue is not a documentary/recognition technicality but an underlying current of stopping young foreign people with no real skills/IP hanging out in Thailand for a year with no real benefit to Thailand. This doesn't help with your issue but it might give an indication of your eventual chance of Ministerial approval/success for some projects against a backdrop of the increased scrutiny and refusal of NGO's under the Government of the last 9 years.

Looking at the photo, you might think they had arrested a global criminal mastermind, not some tourist who overstayed his visa. -
E Visa from UK not working
mokwit replied to liddelljohn's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
All these requirements for just 60+30 days. Meanwhile millions come in on VE/VoA 90 or 30+30/15 with no proofs other than Bt20k which is rarely asked for. NOW, which visas do you think are most often utilised by criminals and overstayers? -
That would be the end of this forum.
