  1. This thread is about depression. It is not about coping with life events. You are a very sad person.
  2. I stopped using them when instead of being taken to your banks website you were required to upload a screenshot.
  3. One of the risks with treating ENDOGENOUS depression with antidepressants is that as people's mood and MOTIVATION improves they actually become motivated enough to attempt suicide. Got it? They don't have the motivation to make multiple suicide attempts. I have every sympathy with you if you have been in that mental state - I have had similar but not to the point of making a real attempt (I managed to convince a Thai lady who was talking about it by going through all the methods and how they can leave you if they go wrong - she looked at me and asked "check already?" and I told er "Yes, check already".
  4. Has he not stopped to think who their Daddies might be?
  5. Pretty much how I fixed self pity, but it doesn't work for endogenous depression. I just don't think we are talking about the same thing - I can be PERFECTLY HAPPY but unable to function. Read what people are writing on this thread, they are talking about a different condition to you, but you are assuming what you have is what they have.
  6. Loss of appetite is often a symptom of endogenous depression, so they might not be able to - a Doctor might ask if you have lost weight - conversely, depressed people can put on weight.
  7. Sounds like you had "self pity", not endogenous depression. I have got myself out of self pity by my own actions more than once, I cannot do that with what I regard as endogenous depression.
  8. Doctors tend to judge depression by 'ability to function' rather than "feelings".
  9. I am already doing that and have done for decades (probably more decades than you have been alive) so I fail to see how I am "misguided". I was a regular member of a self help group for decades. Things are just not as simple as you think they are.
  10. Seconded, although maybe she should "try jumping".
  11. Exactly - i sit there thinking to myself if I wanted to make myself depressed I would (actually, would NOT) do what i am doing and that might be the case for many people who are not affected with endogenous depression, but with us it is EFFECT not CAUSE. I am not saying we can't put in action to help ourselves - going for a walk in the early morning is one of the most effective things I know, but it is a LONG way from being curative.
  12. Amazing that you have this when all people need to do to cure it is listen to Bignok.
  13. Do you even know what Seasonal Affective Disorder is, or are you going to tell me it doesn't exist/it is "self fulfillling"? I wasn't going to engage with you because I have never known such a "know it all" who actually knows nothing. I did because what you are posting is just so misinformed - are you out of your twenties yet? Bye.
  14. Mine generally goes away every April May without me doing anything. Again, you are inappropriately extrapolating how you deal with lifes ups and downs to major depression.
  15. I have tried pretty much everything over the years - tell me, what is it that you are suggesting works then?
  16. He thought he had the power of life and death over his fellow humans.
  17. I don't think you have suffered from endogenous depression. What most people call "depression" I call "self pity" and can deal with it. My endogenous depression I can't. Anybody who can be busy is not really depressed. It is not as simple as just 'getting busy' with endogenous depression. When I am not depressed I can't stop doing things, when I am depressed I can hardly do anything - literally starting around Nov 14th every year and persisting until April/May.
  18. Endogenous depression (from within, not from external events) is very real. I get it every winter, I can be perfectly happy in myself, but don't function. Anybody who says it isn't has never suffered from it. Next they will be saying blindness doesn't exist because they can see perfectly.
  19. He never showed any pity or mercy but expects it in spades. "When summer ends and the rivers freeze, ask not for quarter"
  20. After driving 60 miles each way, but they never mention that.
  21. Poor little sausage. Under him weren't meth addicts (addicts not dealers) incarcerated?
  22. Mr "Ay Falang" in charge of MI now - he went after us as Health Minister when he could only do it obliquely via insurance requirement for OA, putting up Govt Hospital prices for farangs* with retirees paying the most - he is the last person I would want Hapkarn submitting his 1979 act update suggestions to. It is not going to get any easier for LT stayers here. Meanwhile everyone gets a VE/VoA maybe for 90 days, with no checks and 20k/[cancellable] return ticket. I had a one hour meeting with him once - glad I didn't have clients with me. The company he inherited from his daddy is SINO-Thai Engineering and Construction. SINO as in CHINESE. Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Sino Sino as a prefix generally refers to: China · Greater China · Chinese people · Two Chinas · Culture of China *I don't feel we should benefit from subsidisation of prices.
  23. It is well known that anybody who wants to stay more than 30 days must be up to no good.
  24. AirBnB 2am door slammers will be able to stay for 3 months.
