Trump Likens Biden Administration to 'Gestapo' at Private Donor Event
rudi49jr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Like you don’t keep repeating your undying love and support for Trump over and over again? There’s every reason to hate Trump. Any sane person would see that he stands for everything that is evil and is a threat to democracy not only in the USA, but in the whole world. -
Police break up network aiding foreigners to stay in Thailand
rudi49jr replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So have they arrested only the foreigners involved in this ‘network’, or also the (countless) Thai officials who had to have been aiding and abetting them? Or have the latter just been transferred to inactive posts? -
Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records

Republicans - or at least the MAGA crowd - would nominate Beelzebub himself. Maybe they already have with Trump. -
Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records
rudi49jr replied to webfact's topic in World News
I’m actually quite surprised, because I was pretty sure there would be at least one or two doubters (or Trumpers) on the jury, resulting in a hung jury. That they came to this guilty verdict unanimously speaks volumes. And like other posters here, I would like to express my worries about the safety and well-being of the jurors, seeing as how crazy and violent MAGA cult members can (and probably will) become about this guilty verdict. -
Black Men Sue American Airlines for Racial Discrimination

Yeah, only black men stink when they sweat, right? You should have smelled the locker room of my all-white soccer team after a game…. -
Biden's Memorial Day Address Honors Fallen Soldiers and Late Son Beau
rudi49jr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
You don’t see the hypocrisy? I mean, you support a guy who makes EVERYTHING about himself, and says the most outrageous, inappropriate, ridiculous and intentionally hurtful things. Not to mention his constant whining and begging for attention (and money). And then you accuse Biden of making everything about himself and saying something inappropriate? Wow. By the way, that botched Afghanistan withdrawal was 95% on Trump. -
Alina Hanna is not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Wasn’t she the one who forgot to check the ‘jury trial’ box in the Trump fraud case? And then for months Trump whined that he was denied a jury trial? And his MAGA base ate that up and was outraged? As several Trump loving members on this forum have already demonstrated, MAGA cult members won’t accept any guilty verdict anyway, so to them it doesn’t matter in the slightest if the jury was or wasn’t sequestered: if Trump is found guilty, they will reject that verdict. Period. Full stop.

Trump Booed at Libertarian Convention ‘No wannabe dictators!’
rudi49jr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I usually don’t have a lot of sympathy for libertarians, but in this case I will gladly make an exception: wel done, libertarians! Trump probably thinks these are people who work in libraries…. -
After Nearly a Decade of Trump, America is Fatigued and Anxious
rudi49jr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It will be rigged by the liberal media, or by George Soros, or by some commie/socialist/radical left conspiracy. Because there’s no way on god’s green earth that Trump can go down in the polls otherwise, or, heaven forbid (gasp!), lose the election. -

Trump's Distortion of Deadly Force Fact Check
rudi49jr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
As per usual, Trump made a mountain out of a molehill and is seeing ghosts. Always whining that he’s the victim of persecution. It’s all about him, him, him. Cry, whine, b!tch and moan, that’s all he does. And lie, so many lies. But of course his disciples are not interested in facts and the truth, they live in their own fact free ‘reality’.- 11 replies

I’m thinking of spending a winter on Ko Chang, from October/November until February/March, and some info would be very welcome. * How hard/easy is it to find a house or apartment for 4-6 months? I don’t need much, a fully furnished one-bed house or apartment, or even a studio, would do for me. How much would that cost per month? * How big (small?) is the expat community on the island? * Is there a good bakery on the island? * I love to hike and I’ve been told there’s plenty of opportunities for that. What’s the nature situation like? Any original jungle left on the island? * Also very important: how is the air quality? Any advice and/or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Rishi Sunak Calls Early UK General Election for 4 July
rudi49jr replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Maybe you should inform yourself a little better next time. Because it wasn’t Labour that ‘crashed it’ by 2009. The end of 2008 marked the beginning of a worldwide economic recession, caused by Bush and his neocon idiots, who had scrapped most if not all checks and balances on the financial sector. This lead to American banks and financial institutions taking insane risks, and by the end of 2008 it all came crashing down and governments all over the world had to spend hundreds (thousands?) of billions of dollars to save the banking/financial sector. Which is kind of ironic, isn’t it? These hardcore capitalist institutions having to be saved with public money. Again, the UK economy did pretty well under 10 years of Blair, and then financial/economic disaster struck, which had very little to do with Labour or its policies. Maybe you can show me a 10-year period of economic prosperity under Tory rule? -

Just another porky. The economy did actually quite well in the 10 years under Tony Blair. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/hi/pop_ups/07/business_blair_and_the_uk_economy/html/1.stm
