This early morning , after 03:00 AM, I made a transfer from Germany to Thailand with Wise. It said that my money would be sent 10:00 and arrive in my Bangkok Bank account at 14:13 today. At 14:15 I checked my balance, but no transfer had arrived. Upon checking my emails, I saw an email from Wise which had arrived at 10:50 saying: Your transfer of EUR to THB will arrive later than expected. A lot of people are using Wise at the moment, so it's taking us longer to process transfers. Your transfer should now arrive on 21 January at 07 07 UTC. When I checked on my Wise account it says Your money is being processed. Wednesday, 21 January at 10:00 we pay out your THB. Wednesday, 21 January at 14:13 you receive your THB. This has never ever happened to me before. Are there any other Wise users who have experienced this? It is not a problem for me at this very moment, But I fear that this could repeat itself again in the future or that Wise could become insolvent. This has happened to me before with a company I used, named Xendpay.

I just found my original CDs of Flight Simulator X back. Super!

In the past, I have used Flight Simulator X. Unfortunately, I can't find back my box of FSX CDs. They have silently disappeared. I tried to buy new ones, but CDs are not available anymore, only flash drive version. The one I ordered and paid on DEC 14 hasn't been shipped out yet and the seller never answers any of my messages. Huh! That leaves me with one other option: get into FS2020. But for that, my computer needs to be upgraded. Before I launch myself into ordering something, I would like to ask: where is the best place to order Flight Simulator 2020? I live in Thailand. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi flight sim afficionados, for many years in the past I have been using Microsoft Flight Simulator, most recently FSX. I have been out of flight simming for a couple of years now. I am now looking to get in again and I have looked again at FSX, but this FS is now very old and scenery looks terrible. Then I have looked at MSFS 2020 & 2024, but you need a real high-end gaming computer to play MSFS. I would have to spend a considerable amount of money to update my machine and at my age of almost 80 years (yes, in less than three months) this would not be justified. This brought me to X-Plane. The download for the normal X-Plane 12 version is priced at $59.95. Not all the world, but not really cheap. Are there any other websites which sell X-Plane 12 at a lower price? I saw lower priced options using Steam, but I don't understand what they mean with Steam. Can anybody help? Help would be very much appreciated!

In my humble meaning this has all to do with the vaccins we were given against covid. Humanity hasn't ever changed so much ever before. Also healthwise. many strange things have happened all over this planet.

Today I got the jitters. I made a bank transfer via WISE the exact same way as I did it the last three years. But the money was returned to my bank in Germany from where I had transferred to Wise.. Apparently something with my name was wrong. That happened three times in a row. To make things short: the Thai banks have become stricter, I don't blame them for that, cannot. When I registered with Wise a couple of years ago, I made a stupid mistake: I mentioned only my first and my last name. But I have a middle name as well. Up until now that seemed to be not a problem. So when I registered my account with Bangkok Bank many years ago I registered with my first, middle and last name. I called Wise in Singapore and they gave me a hint. After several futile attempts I was - Thanks God! - able to change to my full name on Wise. The transfer I made then went through and reached my Bangkok Bank account a few minutes later. Ahh ...

Amazing! I wonder how this could be achieved. I'm 79 ½ and I lose more power with every single passing day...

Sorry to open another tread about WIndows 10 or 11. I have scoured through the many messages posted on the other thread and have learned one thing: to continue with Windows 10 as most viewers wouldn't upgrade to Windows 11. BUT: if I want to continue with Windows 10, what is the very best option? Can anyone give me links to purchase an upgrade for W10? Thanks for any help. If anyone believes that it is OK to upgrade to W11, please send me a link to a legitimate version. Thanks.

In the meantime I have received instructions from WISE how to transfer: To send money from a balance on your Wise Account, follow these steps: Click on Home Select the balance — in this case, THB Click Send Select or add your recipient bank account Add the amount and click on Continue Click on Confirm & send You can also set up a transfer by clicking Send from the home screen, then choose to send from a balance.

since about 15 months or so I use Wise to get my pension from Germany to Thailand. somebody in Germany had to pay me 24'990 THB and I gave him my Bangkok Bank bank account. I received a message from Wise and I was told that that somebody had sent me the money but in order to identify myself I had to send them a picture of my passport and a facial picture. I did as requested and moments later I received a message from Wise that the money had been put on my account and the money is ready to use. Well, Wise never transferred that money to my bank account that somebody had indicated to Wise. Now, where is the money? the somebody, my customer had used his credit card to put on his Wise account and transfer to me. Can anybody in the know explain me how I can get that money? I send a screenshot of what I can see when I open my Wise account.

I am convinced there must be some afficionados of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024 here in Thailand. Is there anybody who could tell me where I can buy a legit CD version of MSFS 2024? Which is the best version? Not the xbox version? I used to use FSX for many years, but the newer versions of 2020 and 2024 are way, way better than FSX. Thank you in advance for any help.

I googled "glycemic index fruit". Reading the whole list is very, very interesting. I made for me a little list of the fruit with the lowest GI and GL. I see that all berries are the once with the lowest. Thank you, Sheryl! Grapefruit is also very low on the list. One of my favorites, but don't find any nowadays, probably can get in Bangkok city, but I live out in the sticks.

I want to give this a try. Yesterday I wend fruit shopping at Lotus. I got bananas, kiwi, oranges, pomelo, pineapple, dragon fruit and Nam Dogmai mangoes. I already had some grapes at home. This morning I had a dragon fruit, an extra long banana, a kiwi and grapes, altogether half a kilo. I ha now a supply for several days, maybe a week.

I think you shouldn't worry at all about having 1/2 a kg of fruit every morning if your hb1ac is around 6.0! Mine is still 9.0 which is much too high. I have been having diabetes type 2 for nearly 20 years.

How about good bread and pastries like in France, Switzerland and Germany? Any people missing those? Christmas cookies when year end is in sight? I for myself bake a lot.

Yes, I remember very well. I lived in Zurich, Switzerland at that time and bough a light blue Fiat 1500 1961 model like on this picture, but it had a very different soft blue.

Dear Rimmer, what you forgot to mention is that during cold weather (like we have now in the North east, 11º in the early morning) everybody pee much more than usual.

I had the same problem with a WD Elements 2TB external HD. I bought a new connecting cable at Shopee and my HD works again.

Update: well, in the end I was able to open the statement, I did not read the message with which the statement was sent. The password goes like this: your birthday XX Day XXX month xxxx year add your last 4 digits of your mobile number registered with UOB, so that could look like: 01Feb19601234, I went to my Bangkok Bank branch at Robinson Surin and the lady who served me was extremely helpful. She was able to put UOB again back into my BBL account. After an initial trial payment of 10 Baht the lady asked me to do, UOB confirmed that they had received the transfer, after that I made the full transfer to UOB and that worked! Voila, this really saved my day!

When I tried to pay from my Bangkok Bank account to UOB a couple of days ago, I wasn't able to transfer, Last month it worked. Why that happened, is beyond me. I called UOB three times within the last 24 hours. Every time I was told they would send me a statement to my email address, but so far today at 09:35 I still have not received anything. I will go now to my local Bangkok Bank in Surin province and ask them to help. I will update later again. Update: the statement just arrived, but I'm unable to open it.
