If Trump loses this year, there's no way the GOP will nominate him again in 2028. He'll be too old anyhow. Heck, he's too old now.

False equivalency. The author in the Atlantic article provided many, MANY examples of weirdos running the Republican party. Perhaps you can do the same regarding the Dems.

Hmmmm....I'm guessing this has to do with the massive corporate tax cut enacted by the Paul Ryan congress that Trump signed into law. This artificially juiced the stock market but raised the budget deficit in the trillions. And these tax cuts didn't exactly "trickle down" to the US economy as many of these companies conducted stock buybacks which helped their shareholders. Had nothing to do with Trump's perceived "business acumen."

Harris holds 7-point lead over Trump in national survey
Berkshire replied to Inderpland's topic in Political Soapbox
Elon Musk has about as much credibility as Trump. Which is to say, not much. -
All is fine...until Trump opens his mouth.

The evidence is rather overwhelming. Trump is worse than Biden in many ways, but he seems to get a pass from the same khuckleheads who criticized Khun Joe. Having Trump represent the USA on the international stage as POTUS would be an embarrassment of epic proportions.

Harris holds 7-point lead over Trump in national survey
Berkshire replied to Inderpland's topic in Political Soapbox
Yeah, slightly biased. Are the Teamsters largely uneducated white guys? -
This is what I mean by cult-like behavior. You declaring that everything from the MSM is fake news is absurd. Where in God's name do you get your news? From X? Trump? By the way, Trump is hawking $100k watches now. That's your boy, always trying to make a buck. But oh, it's being reported on MSM, must not be true. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/09/26/politics/trump-watches/index.html

When the election is over and Trump loses (again), you should seriously consider deprogramming. The cult has you and it won't be easy to let go. But there are professionals who can help. Believe me, your life will be vastly improved when you let go of the cult. Living in the real world will be much better than the one you're currently occupying.

What a ridiculous claim. The USD has been stronger under Biden than Trump so you've already benefitted. Besides, Trump has stated that he wants to make the USD even weaker to help with international trade (not sure how he would do that exactly). We know that you're already a Trump supporter, so of course, your comments won't make any sense.

Will Harris' Leadership Unite or Divide the Nation?
Berkshire replied to CharlieH's topic in Political Soapbox
Trump tax cuts typically benefit corporations and the wealthy. Harris tax cuts target the middle class and families. But as you will be revealed as a Trump supporter, you won't care. -

....which is more than Trump ever did. -
Will Harris' Leadership Unite or Divide the Nation?
Berkshire replied to CharlieH's topic in Political Soapbox
Harris will unite America more than Trump will, that's a certainty. Trump is a divider, we've all seen it. He will not govern for all, only for his braindead followers who believe his every word like the gospel. -
No she has not been "border czar." Look it up...more right wing lies.

Kamala's never been President. So much for "under Kamala"....

I don't believe a word you just wrote. Is that all you have, crazy conspiracy theories?

Liz Cheney: Conservatives may need a new party
Berkshire replied to simple1's topic in Political Soapbox
Liz Cheney is one of the few sane (and courageous) conservatives left. And she's right. To be honest, conservatives do have some good and reasonable ideas. Things like fiscal responsibility, law and order, free market/free trade, family values, freedom/personal responsibility, etc. But Trump has totally destroyed the GOP to where real conservatives have no place. Trump needs to lose in November and lose big so the Republican Party can start to rebuild again before it's too late. -
Liz Cheney: Conservatives may need a new party

Some people seem to think so. Howard Stern, for instance.... [I don't hate the guy. I hate the people who vote for him," Stern continued. "I think they're stupid. I do. I'll be honest with you, I have no respect for you.”] https://cbsaustin.com/news/nation-world/howard-stern-declares-he-hates-trump-voters-i-think-theyre-stupid-donald-trump-radio-2024-election-politics-republican -

Was Harris using an hearing gadget at the debate?
Berkshire replied to EVENKEEL's topic in Political Soapbox
The fact that Republicans are pushing this lie demonstrates that they know Harris destroyed Trump at the debate. So they're trying to manufacture excuses. But by suggesting that she had a "hearing gadget" and was getting coached means that they admit Harris was sharp and articulate. "She can't be that good on her own," they seem to suggest. Except she was. Deep down, they know this accusation is bonkers. But I'm sure some right wing nutters will take this and run with it. -
I actually agree with you, that America needs a strong conservative party. The problem is we don't have one right now. The current Republican Party certainly is not a conservative party anymore. They're a Trump Party, which doesn't stand for much of anything but hate and division. Even Liz Cheney, about the most conservative politician as there is, agrees that the conservatives need to form a new party.... [Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) indicated in an interview at The Capital Times Idea Fest in Madison, Wisc., that conservatives could end up forming a new kind of conservative party, arguing that “far too much has happened that’s too damaging” in the Republican Party.] https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-know/4892415-liz-cheney-new-republican-party/

Good call. I recommend you start buying hot and heavy all the way down. I should mention that Trump supporters were saying it was a "great buying opportunity" in the low 20's. You might have missed that one, don't miss this one.
