  1. I spoke to the Immigration Office in Kamphaeng Phet on Friday last week and they are closed on Thursday 10th, Friday 11th July and 12th and 13th as it is the weekend anyway. They will open again on Monday 14th July. They are only a small office but I have no idea if it is a nationwide closure.
  2. Not at all. The idiot social media influencer should be made to eat 4 or 5 boxes non stop of the gummies so that he will learn from HIS stupid mistake the hard way.
  3. I wonder just ow many "outraged netizens" have actually been to her restaurant and actually eaten there. Very few I would imagine.
  4. Too many grockles down there for me. I much prefer rural Thailand where the pace of life is slower and with far fewer tourists from the big cities and from abroad.
  5. Because Thailand is not then reliant on out of country and good true reliable allies are not easy to find or worth the trouble of keeping nowadays.
  6. Good for the RTAF and good for Thailand. Any thing designed and built in Thailand and NOT reliant on other countries is good. It gives jobs to Thai workers, designers and businesses and saves the country valuable foreign currency.
  7. Whereas in the "big" village near to where I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet there are pavements and even pedestrian crossings mainly near the schools. I use a stick when I walk and cars do stop for me to cross, and sometimes local Thai people will stop what they are doing, go out into the road to stop the traffic and even help me across the road. Bear in mind that this is only a small village and not a big tourist city. I think that it all depends on where you live.
  8. Obviously you are not disabled and have no problem in accessing public buildings However despite your "Pull up the ladder, Jack. I'm all right", attitude, many thousands of Thai people DO have a problem with steps, slopes and even accessing the odd disabled parking spot, which is occupied by fit lazy people.
  9. If Thailand has no regional enemies does that mean that myanmar and Cambodia simply don't exist?
  10. A military coup is NEVER necessary in Thailand.
  11. I am old too at 81, but I am certainly not Grumpy, nor do I live in the past.
  12. Good for them. They are doing something practical to help the local people in the village that they live.
  13. The UK weather forecast mainly affects the people of the UK and any UK tourists going back in the next couple of days. It is of no use at all to Thailand where most people onl need the local weather report.
  14. Mine gets paid directly into my Wise UK borderless account. I must have missed the bit about where it is paid directly into a Thai account. If I did, my apologies.
  15. And why are you posting information that is not correct, unless you personally know the teacher concerned. Don't you like being asked for the truth? If you have no idea why do you bother to post, or are you looking for your 15 minutes of fame ?
  16. If the payment due date is at the weekend or on a UK public holiday, my 3 pensions are always paid earlier. I don't think that I have ever been paid late yet.
  17. Does your crystal ball give the Thai lottery results as well? Ypu seem to say a lot about the driver, especially as the police have not released any information about him. Or are you just jumping to conclusions again?
  18. But Trump does not own the White House, the US taxpayer does. Mar-A-Lago however, is a different matter.
  19. Uf Y sharpen outside tools like the garden shears, the sickle or the weed whacker blade, I usually use my angle grinder to get the nicks out and the finer bench grinder to finish them off. they don't need to be as sharp as the knives.
  20. I bought mine from the local hardware shop, though I did go online to get a picture and a translation into Thai. I generally use olive oil (I have some handy) and give each knife and the cleaver about 50 stroke on each edge.
  21. Do you really think that Indians are the only people on the beach at night? Public toilets would be available to everybody and NOT just the Indian people.
  22. The MG dealers here in Kamphaeng Phet closed its dealership down a couple of months ago.
  23. Perhaps the Pattaya city council should consider increasing the number of public toilets and keep some of them open 24/7/365. Just an idle thought.
  24. How about the relevance to Thailand Phuket Cannabis Very few people care about the Mirror, which is a daily paper published 8,000 miles away in the UK.
