Military Royal Thai Air Force Unveils Locally-Made Kamikaze Drone
billd766 replied to Georgealbert's topic in Thailand News
Good for the RTAF and good for Thailand. Any thing designed and built in Thailand and NOT reliant on other countries is good. It gives jobs to Thai workers, designers and businesses and saves the country valuable foreign currency.- 61 replies

Whereas in the "big" village near to where I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet there are pavements and even pedestrian crossings mainly near the schools. I use a stick when I walk and cars do stop for me to cross, and sometimes local Thai people will stop what they are doing, go out into the road to stop the traffic and even help me across the road. Bear in mind that this is only a small village and not a big tourist city. I think that it all depends on where you live.

Obviously you are not disabled and have no problem in accessing public buildings However despite your "Pull up the ladder, Jack. I'm all right", attitude, many thousands of Thai people DO have a problem with steps, slopes and even accessing the odd disabled parking spot, which is occupied by fit lazy people.

UK Forecasting Fear: Has the Met Office Lost Sight of Its Mission?
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The UK weather forecast mainly affects the people of the UK and any UK tourists going back in the next couple of days. It is of no use at all to Thailand where most people onl need the local weather report. -
Uf Y sharpen outside tools like the garden shears, the sickle or the weed whacker blade, I usually use my angle grinder to get the nicks out and the finer bench grinder to finish them off. they don't need to be as sharp as the knives.

I bought mine from the local hardware shop, though I did go online to get a picture and a translation into Thai. I generally use olive oil (I have some handy) and give each knife and the cleaver about 50 stroke on each edge.

Video Outrage as Tourists Caught Urinating on Pattaya Beach
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Do you really think that Indians are the only people on the beach at night? Public toilets would be available to everybody and NOT just the Indian people. -

Perhaps the Pattaya city council should consider increasing the number of public toilets and keep some of them open 24/7/365. Just an idle thought. -
