If the next tanker had a security team which was armed, and a member of the hijackers was injured during the hijacking or piracy whilst the ship is in international waters, at least 1,000 miles away from US waters, how could the USA explain that away? The sanctions were imposed by the USA only, NOT internationally, so whoever issued the order would be the guilty party. It could never be Trump, as he would simply blame anybody else, and disown them.

IMHO it is piracy, and state sponsored piracy at that, by the USA, who IIRC were going loopy when Somali pirates were doing the same thing off the coast of Africa.

Out of curiosity, just now many tourists actually ARE harassed and denied entry per year. As far as I can read up on it, there are only a very small number, and those are the ones causing the problem. Perhaps the number is as low as or lower than 0.1% or even 0.01%. The majority of genuine tourists don't seem to have any problem entering Thailand, but they are genuine tourists and not border hoppers.

As I see it, Harry can have as much security in the UK as HE wants to pay for. However he does not seem to want to pay with his own money, but he does want the security protection that the UK taxpayers will have to pay for. Not really. If you know that you are going on holiday to Thailand, when you book your flight ticket, book 20,000 Thai baht or any currency you want at the bank as well. It is called forward planning, which is what sensible people do. Of course, you could always take a chance, get lucky, then try using your credit card to pay the public transport charge. Cash may not be king in many peoples eyes, but it does grease the wheels in many countries, including Thailand.

IMHO I think that the USA will recover from the Trump administration, nut it will take years and perhaps decades to do so, and only then, IF the gop grows a spine, and IF the democrats evert recover. Having said that, I also think that ALL the current members of the house should compulsory be retired at age 60 and NO president should serve more that 2 terms and if the second term happens in the 60th year, they should ONLY serve 1 term, no matter what political party they come from, nor how good or bad they are.
