Sunak ‘risks full-scale trade war’ with Brussels by scrapping EU laws
billd766 replied to Scott's topic in World News
A good question that there i no real answer to as the two organisations are completely different in their nature. A bit like chalk and cheese. IMO the EU has no real leader since Angela Merkel, but Emmanuel Macron of France is trying unsuccessfully to fill her shoes. -

NATO does NOT belong to the EU and quite a few of the NATO countries do not belong in the EU. In fact there are more countries in NATO than in the EU. https://www.studyiq.com/articles/nato-countries/#:~:text=Currently%2C there are 30 member,%2C Portugal%2C Slovakia%2C Slovenia%2C Currently, there are 30 member countries of NATO namely Albania, Bulgaria, Belgium, Croatia, Canada, Denmark, France, Greece, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Türkiye, USA and UK. https://www.gov.uk/eu-eea#:~:text=Austria%2C Belgium%2C Bulgaria%2C Croatia,%2C Slovenia%2C Spain and Sweden. And that will be easier for you than for me to find one thing that Biden did right. OK I don't think any aircraft manufactured in the last few years have been equipped with machine guns using bullets. Mostly they are fitted with cannons of 20 to 30 mm bore and fire shells' https://www.gd-ots.com/armaments/aircraft-guns-gun-systems/ They are usually equipped with guided or unguided missiles such as https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=aim9x+sidewinder&sxsrf=AJOqlzVjUBuP6vg60nXzAWKr5Uqv4gQ8aw%3A1675599409000&source=hp&ei=MJ7fY6HXOYGA3LUPm4iLkAE&iflsig=AK50M_UAAAAAY9-sQXc2Em3h832i9uPwN5AQk607LKFk&oq=aim9x&gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EAEYAjILCAAQgAQQsQMQgwEyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQyBQgAEIAEMgUIABCABDIFCAAQgAQ6BAgjECc6CAguENQCEJECOhAILhCxAxCDARDHARDRAxBDOgsILhCABBCxAxCDAToOCC4QgAQQsQMQxwEQ0QM6BAgAEEM6CggAELEDEIMBEEM6BwguELEDEEM6BAguEEM6CAguEIAEELEDOgcIIxDqAhAnOggIABCxAxCDAVAAWO5iYLN8aANwAHgAgAGaAYgBhAWSAQMyLjSYAQCgAQGwAQo&sclient=gws-wiz the big difference is that if you are firing upwards, shells once fired tend to slow down. OTOH the missile is generally rocket powered and fitted with a proximity fuse, which means that it doesn't need to hit the target. just get close enough. Sorry about the long winded reply but I had to do a search and then hang the differences together.

Could you please stop posting common sense replies as it simply confuses him

There is a vast difference in a spy balloon travelling at the speed of the wind and that of a nuclear missile being tracked on radar A vastly different response time also. No matter. Just keep blaming President Biden for everything. You are sure to get something correct one day.

Decades ago I used to drive past the Mole Works at Newport, South Wales on the old A4 from Bristol to Cardiff. Sadly long gone in the name of progress.

Ukraine war: 80 years on, we are facing German tanks again - Putin
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in World News
What Putin carefully omitted to mention, was at that time Russia was invading the Ukraine using lease lend US Sherman tanks against German Panzer tanks. -

I generally use my son with a set of moe grips pn the nut while I hold the tap. I can get down to do the job but I still need somebody else to hold the tap and get me up afterwards. I am 78 and my son is 18. Technology transfer and grunt work training skills at play.

I actually asked them if they had sent me a CoL form.

There can be no dialogue or peace whist Puin is in power, He will NOT give up trying to take the Ukraine. When he is removed, then peace talks can begin in earnest. -
Thank you for the link. It seems as though it may take 10 days for a reply.

IMO Chuwit has been around a very long time and is well aware of what has been happening over the past 20 odd years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuwit_Kamolvisit I have a feeling that Chuwit is also being drip fed information from someone very very high up, and I don't think it is coming from the military.

I got one as well for 12 months on the forum. I am looking forward to November when I should get a 20 year badge (and all the others in between).
