  1. This is how I visualise Trump, though he is nowhere near as funny. IMHO Trump is more pathetic than funny. https://clip.cafe/carry-on-cleo-1964/theyve-all-got-in-me/
  2. There is also the vast difference between President Biden clearly telling the FBI and the DoJ to go ahead and search for more, and ex-president Trump and his lawyers denying all knowledge of ANY documents for months and making the DoJ get a search warrant, after nearly 2 years, which was then dealt with by the FBI. If you cannot see the difference then I pity you. President Biden freely gave access, whilst ex-president Trump and his lawyers obstructed justice every step of the way, while screaming witch hunt all the time.
  3. Out of curiosity, do you have a link for that video? All I have seen is the still photo in the OP. The Post has a different still photo taken later but no video or CCTV.
  4. Looking at the photo it seems as though there is no barrier, and that the warning lights (at least on this side) seem to be working.
  5. It would seem that a majority of US electors disagree with you. https://www.cfr.org/blog/2020-election-numbers The Popular Vote Biden won 81,283,098 votes, or 51.3 percent of the votes cast. He is the first U.S. presidential candidate to have won more than 80 million votes. Trump won 74,222,958 votes, or 46.8 percent of the votes cast. That’s more votes than any other presidential candidate has ever won, with the exception of Biden. (Third-party candidates picked up 1.8 percent of the votes cast.) The Electoral College So the final tally in the Electoral College was 306 to 232. That, of course, is the reverse of the margin Donald Trump won by in 2016. He called that a “massive landslide victory.”
  6. I am not sure where you get those figures from or what date they were published. A poll in 2014 found this, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_pro-Russian_unrest_in_Ukraine#:~:text=A poll conducted by Kyiv, polled favoured union with Russia. A poll conducted by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) from 8–18 February 2014 assessed support for union with Russia throughout Ukraine. It found that, overall, 12% of those polled favoured union with Russia.[76] 68.0% of those from the four regions surveyed agreed that Ukraine should remain independent, with friendly relations maintained between Russia and Ukraine. Support for a union between Russia and Ukraine was found to be much higher in certain areas: 41.0% Crimea 33.2% Donetsk Oblast 24.1% Luhansk Oblast 24.0% Odesa Oblast 16.7% Zaporizhia Oblast 15.1% Kharkiv Oblast 13.8% Dnipropetrovsk Oblast https://carnegieendowment.org/politika/88542 Dated 02 December 2022 In recent years, despite growing tensions with Russia and the threat of war, this part of Ukraine had retained generally positive attitudes toward its neighbor to the east: 53 percent in Ukraine’s east and 45 percent in the south viewed Russia favorably. Some—though not many—went as far as to support unification with Russia: 22 percent in the Luhansk region, and 11 percent in the Kherson region. Russia’s invasion largely put an end to this pro-Russian sentiment: by May 2022, only 4 percent in Ukraine’s east and 1 percent in the south still had a positive view of Russia. Support for Ukraine joining NATO, on the other hand, had surged to record highs: 69 percent in the east and 81 percent in the south, up from 36 percent in the east and 48 percent in the south, according to a poll taken on February 16 and 17 of this year.
  7. Only posts by TBL and spidermike007 have actually commented on the content of the post. The rest are just nit picking. I think that he has done a good and right thing, no matter where the offshore windfarms are located.
  8. Did you know him very well, or is it your blasting great mouth taking with no idea of the truth? If you can say nothing good or only speculate, it is better to remain silent. The only witness to what truly happened, is the person who killed the victim by shooting him in the back, and I wouldn't believe a word he says.
  9. And I can honestly say you have no idea what you have missed.
  10. He reminds me of a verse on Lonnie Donegan's song "My Old Man's a Dustman" Though my old man's a dustman He's got an 'eart of gold He got married recently Though he's eighty-six years old We said "'ere, 'ang on dad you're getting past your prime" He said "well when you get to my age" "It helps to pass the time" (oi!)
  11. I prefer taking Decolgen. 2 tablets 3 times a day and an OTC medicine. I am on my 3rd day and apart from a terrible night last night I am just about over it.
  12. Why doesn't Erdogan get somebody to burn an Evangelical Lutheran Bible (assuming that they could find one in Turkey) outside the Swedish embassy in Ankara. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey#Demographics https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Turkey Turkey is a secular state with no official state religion; the Turkish Constitution provides for freedom of religion and conscience.[427][428] A 2016 survey by Ipsos, interviewing 17,180 adults across 22 countries, found that Islam was the dominant religion in Turkey, adhered to by 82% of the total population; religiously unaffiliated people comprised 13% of the population, while 2% were Christians.[429] The level of religiosity study by Konda found that 9.7% of the population who are 'fully devoted', 52% who 'strives to fulfill religious obligations', 34.3% who 'does not fulfill religious obligations' and 3.2% 'Nonbeliever/Irreligious'.[430][431] Another poll conducted by Gezici Araştırma in 2020 interviewed 1,062 people in 12 provinces and found that 28.5% of the Generation Z in Turkey identify as irreligious.[432][433] According to a survey by World Values Survey In 2017 98.0% Identified as Muslims, while 1.2% Identified with no Religion and 0.8 as other.[434 https://www.britannica.com/place/Sweden/Religion The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sweden was the official state church until 2000, and between three-fifths and two-thirds of the population remains members of this church. Since the late 1800s a number of independent churches have emerged; however, their members can also belong to the Church of Sweden
  13. I am 78 and nobody asked me for my phone number in BigC on Thursday. Nobody asked in Makro either. Mind you they could have asked my wife, and she would have readily given my number. ????
  14. IMHO it would take a lot of high and medium ranking officers who would be willing to refuse to carry out orders given from Putin They would have to be willing to be executed, or tortured and or jailed. It would be a military coup, but a fairly popular and a very bloody one I think.
  15. Russia under Putin does NOT seem to want peace or peace talks, but they do seem to want total annexation and occupation of the Ukraine.
  16. I have absolutely no idea. I remember seeing one get a swift booting by the range master because he had a stoppage in the rifle and was turning around with the rifle in his hands. He had not done the stoppage drill at all.
  17. The problem can see with that is who owns the battery and who will pay when a dead battery needs to be replaced? One limitation I can see on battery swapping is that one size does not fit all. If the batteries cost from say $7,500 upwards, how many of each type of battery would the shop hold? When a customer comes in for a battery swap at say $50 what will happen and who will have to pay for the replacement battery if it is needed?
  18. I hope that the Canadians do well with their hydrogen project.
  19. But the price will come down as more hydrogen vehicles are deployed and new hydrogen plants come online. The link is by courtesy of TBL. Thank you. https://www.london.gov.uk/press-releases/mayoral/englands-first-hydrogen-double-deckers-launched
  20. I am not sure but probably from around the Swindon area if I remember. His first name was Ken I think but it was back in the late 1980s or very early 1990s.
  21. A generic answer to/from pit bull and associated breed lovers. But but but my dog would NEVER do anything like that. Until it does and by then it is too late for the victim.
  22. Perhaps they had a short touch of Nelson's eye.
  23. The answer to your last line would seem to be, Not a lot.
  24. When I worked for a large company in the UK during the 1990s we had one engineer who used to sit in the canteen and when a guy had finished, he would eat the leftovers. He would sometimes bring in empty buttered rolls and fill them with leftovers.
