  1. Trump is behaving too much like a warmonger for my liking. I preferred it when he was a negotiator. If he's not careful, he's going to start a worse war than Ukraine, and one he's not going to win. Everyone has a weak spot, and seems as though the M E is Trump's.
  2. The entire system was/ is corrupt and needed fixing, which is why Trump was elected. Can't fix a broken system without a lot of pain. Doesn't matter if it's Trump trying to fix it ( I think it's beyond salvage though ), or it just collapses under the weight of it's own corruption, people are going to suffer, including myself. The only question is, after all the shouting and crying, if the system got fixed, or is just the same old broken system dressed in new clothes, as in 2009. Remind me, how much does the US pay every day to service the interest on it's enormous debt of trillions?
  3. So he's doing a good job then? He wasn't elected to perpetuate a broken system. That would have been Harris.
  4. You do realise that you will be 50 at some stage, don't you? I agree that the US system is broke, but IMO all country's systems are broken or corrupt.
  5. I think they deleted my post because I used a mocking name towards Donald Trump. I'm sorry, didn't think that was against the policy here. It's been posted by moderators about a hundred times, so far, yet you managed to miss all of them! You voted for Trump and now that poor African woman and her child are starving in some trash filled slum. Shame on you! Why is it the responsibility of the US taxpayer to support some African woman and her child? Who made the rule that the US has to support every poor person on the planet? Why don't you support her if you feel so concerned for her well being?
  6. My happiness or otherwise is no concern of yours. Try discussing the topic instead of me. Yawn.
  7. That was a speech. Britain was lucky that Churchill had rearmed the airforce, as without the airforce Britain would have been lost, and it was only that Hitler stopped attacking the airfields and attacked London instead that saved the airforce. Churchill made another speech which you may recall "never have so many owed so much to so few" etc. Ukraine doesn't have a Churchill, and they are losing. Speeches won't fix that.
  8. I'm being realistic. You claiming every British man would choose death over surrender is nonsense.
  9. It was inevitable. No way Putin would allow it to remain before the end on the war. Zelensky would have used it to negotiate Russia leaving part of Ukraine. That option has gone, along with the "best troops" ( if that was even true ), and a lot of equipment.
  10. Seems the fat lady has been singing for a while now, but apparently the Euro leaders are deaf. Perhaps they think there is some more graft to be made before the entire fiasco collapses. Pity about all the Ukrainians that will die in the meantime. Starmer is a puzzle. He has to have something he wants to get out of it, but I have no idea what that is, unless it's because he thinks he is Churchill reincarnated, and this is his 15 minutes of fame. Does Starmer even have 100,000 troops that can be spared from protecting the border from the rubber boat invasion......... oh wait. BTW, I'm working on the evidence that Russia is winning to assume that it's all over bar the crying, and the scramble to get the loot out of Ukraine before it's too late, but who knows, an asteroid might land on Moscow, or Superman will arrive to save the day for the American way . I guess Zelensky prays for that before he gets tucked up with his GI Teddy to have another nighty night in his bunker.
  11. The US taxpayer will. They will be paying tax to make the American contractor that will "rebuild Ukraine" rich. I wonder who will benefit from the US mineral rights- I doubt the taxpayers will see one cent of that. BTW you said "Since WW2 "civilians" are part of "warfare".". Far longer than that- In the Boer war the British invented concentration camps to incarcerate Boer civilians, where many died.
  12. He was being sarcastic.
  13. At least he gets to say things without a teleprompter unlike the last guy. BTW, who was running the US while Biden was off in Lala land?
  14. Still beating that dead horse then? You guys always complain that Trump lies every time he opens his mouth, yet you adamantly believe he thought he was telling the truth when he said that. Yawn.
  15. Plenty of time to discuss ranks with me though.
  16. He should get back to us when the Ukrainians start winning. Losing ground is not winning, even in propaganda land. Putin will agree to a ceasefire when it's convenient for Russia, not the Ukrainians. He's winning, so why would he agree to let the Ukrainians re arm and press gang more men? It's unlikely that the west can impose any meaningful sanctions as there are already so many, which have proven useless in stopping the war so far.
  17. Congratulations on yet another one line post that was a ( disguised ) insult. Seriously, pointless insults that add nothing to the discussion are just boring. Unless someone actually indicates that they are referring to a specific individual, it's advisable to not try and read their mind and not make an assumption. I often make a post that refers to posters in general, even if it is in posted with a quote. Next.
  18. IMO the first is from ignorance, the second because you didn't learn the lesson from the first. I don't think there is any excuse for a third. Just my opinion. I had 2, but I learned that lesson and never went for a third time lucky. I decided that there is no way to tell the difference at the start, and wasn't going to get fooled again. My second was perfect till she wasn't. I'd never have guessed what she was really like without actually being married to her.
  19. there is nothing following your life here. To be pedantic there is lots of other life after yours on this planet ends, Seriously, that's only your opinion. There is more to this existence than you or I can see, and there is no proof that "we" don't carry on in another dimension. BTW, if you actually believe that it's a good reason not to do good as there are no rewards for doing good and no punishment for being bad.
  20. Oh dear, another one for my ignore list. Personal attacks are just boring. Now you can make vacuous posts about p***y grabbing to posters that like suchlike nonsense.
  21. If Tesla vanished from the face of the planet tomorrow it would be a good thing, IMO. Toy cars for rich luvvies.
  22. I started to be like everyone else, but when I realised that consuming a poison that made me act like an idiot and gave me a headache was silly I gave it up. I've probably saved thousands of $ by not drinking alcoholic beverages. My liver certainly benefited.
  23. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/live/trump-tariffs-live-updates-trump-threatens-200-tariff-on-european-wine-champagne-191201568.html Psst, Trump, the US doesn't have a champagne business, since champagne is produced in France only. At best the US has some mediocre sparkling wine. Well done and congratulations. You posted an OP which does nothing to prove the opinion posited in the thread title.
  24. I'm not in any way disparaging Symbol or the people that love his music, but IMO his appeal is limited to a minority of people. You'll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and the Pacemakers is probably more loved by more sportsgoers than anything by Symbol, but I doubt anyone claims it "influenced" music.
