  1. To be honest I'm not a fan of J Pop for the audio.
  2. Even if the singing is pants, the dancing usually pleases. I'm wondering if the craze for girls to do some moves on Tik Tok is because they want to be in an Idol group?
  3. Just lie back, relax, click on some J Pop or K Pop and enjoy.
  4. LOL, LOL, LOL. Cute girls are great. What more reason needed? They don't need to sing well, and one of my favourites on J Pop can't sing to save herself, but that's not the attraction. If another reason is needed, they make people happy. An AKB48 song/ dance called Fortune Cookie is great. I defy any normal person to feel sad or depressed after watching the VDO. Cheers me up no end.
  5. Sounds like the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree travel forum on which I used to post on the Thailand sub forum. Got sold, the new mods went full on PC and suspending anyone having a bit of fun. Most of the experienced posters left, forum became pathetic and finally got put out of it's misery post covid.
  6. Is that different from ignoring?
  7. I feel for you, having been there myself. Fortunately, one of them in my case has departed the forum. I guess I just outlasted him, despite his best attempts to give me enough points.
  8. Perhaps he used it in the normal sense of the word, as it's got to hurt. One is constantly astounded to the extent fetishists will go to to get off, and one has to wonder what happened to them in their formative years to resort to such strange sexual practices.
  9. I didn't see any of that, but I did see a baiting post. It's an old tactic- post something personal that however it is answered will make the responder look bad. It's why I don't reply to such posts myself but point out that it's a baiting post.
  10. Al Jazeera just had a item about Ukraine war widows, but nothing, nada, zero about any advances by either side, which IMO means it's a stalemate. I'm with the general, and he's an actual military man, unlike the guy that dresses like one on tv.
  11. Just seen on Al Jazeera, demonstrators in Rochester, UK, are blockading a weapons manufacturer to demand an end of weapons for israel. As long as kids keep getting blown up in Gaza, the outrage is only going to get bigger, till the politicians are forced to actually do something about a ceasefire. Can't happen soon enough.
  12. Sooooo, carry out an attack on an enemy then complain when they strike back. I wasn't aware that the US was run by people that have no understanding of how such things happen, and think they are the only ones allowed to attack other people, but shock and horror, was it planned to elicit an armed response as an excuse to go full on destruction. Looks like Joe will be able to get his very own war after all. Just needs a few more attacks to get the enemy riled up enough to be able to say the war is justified. I don't need to wonder any more why they needed 2 aircraft carriers for a conflict where the "enemy" doesn't have an air force.
  13. Indeed, and why else do you think he has millions of supporters? If he behaved like a normal person in the presence of a mere judge he would likely lose almost all his support, as they want someone to poke a stick in the establishment's eye, not some wishy washy loser.
  14. That's correct, and thanks to governments since Helen Clark we apparently don't have a plane with a gun on it, and no anti air defenses I know of ( I did read somewhere that the last female PM _ I'm so happy she's gone I've forgotten her name- gave some sort of missiles to Ukraine, but they might not have worked very well anyway ). That leaves a few armored wheeled vehicles with a gun on them, and presumably some sort of artillery, and if they haven't all left because they don't get paid enough, some infantry. I think we have some navy ships of various sorts, but I heard they can't find enough sailors to man them all at the same time. I presume that the planned response to a Chinese ( or from a small Pacific island for that matter ) invasion is to hang out the "welcome to our new overlords" sign in the relevant language. However, in true hypocrisy, despite not being willing to have anything resembling a proper military, NZ expects the Australians and the US to come to our rescue should the poo actually hit the proverbial fan. I don't know why they'd bother, to be honest. BTW, I was a part of the NZ military back when we actually had a military, and weren't a glorified observer corps for the UN, so I have some interest in the state or unstate of the NZ military. If there is anyone out there that can prove that NZ actually has a military capable of making a hostile nation think twice about invading, I'll be happy to admit that I'm wrong. I just hope I don't have to dig out my old tin hat and jungle greens and head for the bush. That would be a bit fraught for an oldie like myself.
  15. Seems reasonable to have strong opinions about a nation that bombs 10 year old children to bits in their home. If certain people don't want demonstrations about it, just stop the bombing, turn the power on, and allow water and medical aid in. Complaining about demonstrations while bombing schools and hospitals sheltering those who's homes got blown up is the height of hypocrisy, IMO.
  16. You must have missed my post right before yours where I complain that we must again be inflicted with NZ First. Given things said before the election it is unlikely that Winston will join labour, so i guess it's about how much he wants to join National and Act. MMP sucks. It's making me depressed that Hipkins is still in charge. I was so looking forward to getting rid of that shower.
  17. How nice to allow the Gazans to have a respite of a few hours before they continue getting blown to bits, or buried alive under the rubble of their homes.
  18. How much longer can western leaders continue to turn a blind eye to the outrageous massacres being carried out so blatantly by israel? Shame on them. So many web sites showing what is going on that they can not claim to be unaware of how bad it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGTpzP2Ozeo Nov 11, 2023 #aljazeeraenglish #BreakingNews #aljazeeralivenews At least 50 Palestinians have been killed after Israeli missiles and artillery hit the Al Buraq school. There were a number of internally displaced Palestinians who were sheltering there. Local journalists say the health system is so overwhelmed in northenr Gaza and so many ambulances have come under attack and there are not enough left to transport the victims of the attack. And bodies are simply piling up on the streets.
  19. You do know that just because it's on film it isn't necessarily true, don't you? I'm not saying it didn't happen, because I understand that humans are capable of the most extreme brutality, but I wasn't there to know if it was true or not. However, is there a difference from burying a child under the rubble of its home to die slowly and painfully, from thousands of feet up in the sky as opposed to killing it in person? If there is I don't know what it is.
  20. I don't think I need to. Seems to have settled into a routine for now. israel drops lots of bombs and kills loads of Gazans, cue scenes on tv of bereft parents with dead babies, and many talking heads saying how horrible it is and how "something must be done". Of course nothing will "be done" till it gets really dire, like bombing a hospital and killing 5 thousand Gazans sheltering in it, or something like that. If I was a cynic before, I would certainly have become one by now. I'll get back to you when they start bombing the West Bank as well.
  21. No not at all, given that's how I feel about Ukraine, so I can certainly accept that. What I can't accept are the posts wanting to exterminate the lot of them, and that sort of post gets an automatic ignore from me.
  22. The most interesting threads to me were about bar girls, katoeys, Thai farang relationships, farang farang relationships, women in general, western or Thai women specifically, scams, places to go etc, but many seemed to dry up a while ago. Anything about women and katoeys still attract a lot of posters. My first suspension was for talking about politics despite myself disagreeing it was about politics, so one needs to be careful where one discusses politics on here.
  23. While I'm not George, obviously, I can answer that. It was regarded as commenting on moderation, which is against the rules, and certain mods seemed to enjoy suspending posters for any reason, or perhaps it was only certain posters that they liked suspending.
  24. Being known didn't stop a certain poster from following me around on the forum and putting laugh emojis on every post I made.
  25. Many of the people on the forum don't live in Thailand, and have no interest in such. I did live in Thailand and never watched Thai news. These stories invariably elicit Thai bashing which is probably the number one source of toxicity on the forum I agree 100% about the Thai bashing, but it's not the number one source of toxicity on the forum. That IMO are the Trump threads, or at least they used to be till Ukraine and recently Gaza happened. Along the same lines, why does the "World News" involve so many threads about Trump? It's like Trump is the only thing happening on the planet sometimes. Hardly any threads about parts of the world other than America, and sometimes about Britain, unless of course there is a war going on, though I saw nothing about the Sudanese conflict. What about the situation in Mali, in France, Singapore etc. The forum doesn't have to put up threads about them, of course, but then all the threads should be put in the relevant sub sections. If American or British threads are not put in the relevant sub section, what's the point of the sub sections?
