  1. If there was all that slam dunk evidence why the need for a grand jury then? Just proceed straight to indictment. Is there a grand jury for every case of white collar crime? Could it possibly be that the "evidence" isn't that strong after all?
  2. I'm sure he's looking for something to deflect attention from it though. No doubt something else to blame on Trump.
  3. Did they destroy them then, or leave them for the taliban to use? It's normal to destroy equipment left behind.
  4. Soooooo, Biden took over in January and the pull out was in August, but it's Trump's fault? Pathetic, IMO. https://languages.oup.com/google-dictionary-en/ miserably inadequate; of very low standard. "he's a pathetic excuse for a man"
  5. Yeah, and how much of the apparently 10 billion $ worth of military equipment left behind is on Trump? Buck stops at the man sitting in the POTUS chair at the time. If it was a bad situation Biden should have done what he did with the Keystone XL pipeline. As for the report- according to a US reporter on Al Jazeera it was given to reporters 10 minutes before the news conference.
  6. Apparently he believes that Og the caveman had a laboratory in his cave where he explored the mysteries of life.
  7. They are lucky, but a minority. If they were living in NZ they'd probably be shot as a pest, and if in the UK they'd likely be a fox's dinner.
  8. Seriously? I did put lions in there for a reason, which you seem to have missed. Try telling an African kid forced to work down a cobalt mine so rich western people can drive an electric car that they have joy and love in their life. Western people have it too easy, to not understand how privileged we are to have such easy lives, IMO.
  9. Times change, but the first time I paid bar fine for a BG she wouldn't walk with me in public because she thought people would think she was a prostitute ( that she actually was a prostitute didn't make any difference to the mindset ).
  10. Oh dear, oh dear. What's "normal" about society? Full of greedy nasties wanting to rip off enough people to get rich. Scars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Life isn't just about humans. Life isn't easy for zebras on a reserve where lions live and don't get me started on life for insects. Even if we only refer to humans, for a majority of the human race life is probably desperate every miserable day. Ask any poor person in Asia if they have an easy life.
  12. Only to people that don't know anything about Christianity. Were pole dancing a thing in Israel when he walked on it's soil, he'd have been a friend of pole dancers, just as he was a friend of prostitutes. Saddens me when people don't understand their own religion.
  13. Not really the way of the sheeple, unfortunately. When Pattaya ran out of water back in the 90s people bought the stuff from tankers, but none demonstrated at city hall that I saw.
  14. Short of a court order, which would be unlikely IMO for an aged person, the quacks can't operate without patient consent, or if incapacitated NOK or alternate. For any older person a living will should be essential or the quacks will cut them as that's what they do. I looked after many patients with a bag and long ago decided that other than a temporary bag would never ever allow them to give me one of those. Death is IMO preferable. Others may choose to live with one, but that is their choice.
  15. Going by that, I should expect to live to mid 90s as a mentally challenged man with severe diabetes. Excuse me if I say I don't want to be like them and if it means exiting in my 80s at a maximum ( sooner is acceptable ) that's absolutely fine. After all, none of us get out alive.
  16. Did he believe that God deliberately made life hard? I can accept "life isn't easy" though.
  17. It's not that easy to do, as was pointed out in the video about the good doctor that used them to help people exit.
  18. Perhaps he's not at that point yet. Just turning 70 doesn't necessarily make our lives worse.
  19. While I'm happy that your wife was able to be sorted I'm puzzled as to how she qualified, unless you are both residents IN the UK and only visiting Thailand. I understand that only UK residents are able to get NHS treatment.
  20. Yes, but that would probably cost billions of baht and we know why it's not going to happen, don't we! It's not like the inhabitants of city hall will be affected, will they? Nature is just so annoying that it won't behave the way we want it to!
  21. Nothing unusual in Thailand about lack of water. A few decades ago I remember the joke was that the Bkk "soapies" would have to be giving dry massages.
  22. From what I read it's not an infrastructure problem, but a lack of rain. Unfortunately for residents, Gaia cares not for the problems of a destructive species.
  23. It would be unusual for local government to "think" about anything except more ratepayers. Seems to be a pretty universal problem. I see no reason not to be cynical when I look at the people that rule us.
