yes i believe in the spirit world. The good thing is bad spirits cant hurt you unless you invite them into your lives.Ways to invite them into your lives unknowingly is to join in seances, ouiji board readings, possibly tarot cards too.and worshiping, bowing down to false idols.
Why do you think catholic priests are contantly trying to exorcise their parishioners of demon spirits.............their churches are full of idols.(no offence meant to any practicing catholics),but it is my believe that satan and his demons are alive and well and their residential address is c/o "the vatican"

I have not read through the reply posts. But i like it just fine being called a "farang".
It's usually used just as a 'descriptive word".............of course it can also be used in an insulting way too, depends on the context of any conversation.
It's like in australia..............english people are often referred to as "poms".............often used in a descriptive way but can be used negatively.
To get on in life we have to be thick skinned and not worry too much what others think of us................who bloody cares,i dont!

Soon it will be pristine clean and boring like Singapore.
So are you saying that anywhere without drugs and ladies of the night loitering in foul dirty streets is boring?
pretty much!

nothing like military rule to get things done,no one to have to answer too can expedite things.
Thailand never had a proper democracy anyway.

That's marvellous news, notmyself. My hobby here is putting broke and bitter expats out of their misery, and with that fast acting chemical of yours we could feed the expat carcasses to all the starving street dogs. A touch of sugar would help with the bitterness?
your post = bitterness personified?
I think mustafa was replying to a rather strange post by'not myself"..............maybe flippant/sarcastic!

Thanks for this info and trouble you have taken.I have googled without success as yet.The temple i am looking for takes care of cancer sufferers through meditation and daily doses of a very powerful concoction of thai herbs, which i have tasted. There are thai doctors there who monitor the patients progress.A course costs 8000 baht and lasts 1 week.If a patient has previously gone to a hospital they request the file.Am very keen to find this place as i am interested in alternative cancer therapy.

Can anyone tell me where in bangkok i can catch a bus to singburi?
Do i go to morchit?
I am going to singburi to visit an holistic temple that takes care of cancer suffers.
Can anyone tell me the name of this temple and its location. Is it near the city centre?
And lastly any recommendations on where to stay in singburi for around 800-1000 baht per night is ok.
Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

sometimes its not hard to liken samui roads to a war zone.Too many cars, bikes, trucks on small narrow roads,no where to overtake, frustrated drivers and bike riders.Riding bikes late at night leaves everyone open to accidents from drunk and drug ridden riders/drivers.Definitely time to either buy a car for more protection or ride in taxi's.

Sex is everywhere in thailand if you go looking for it.It's available in the villages, karoake bars in small towns, massage parlours, and of course tourist areas.Thai ladies will think nothing of stealing your husband for a perceived better life.
I suggest you stay back home where its safer. The whole of south east asia is a sexual playground.

I'll echo the above, unless you choose to live near the tourist traps you'll never know, where do you anticipate residing?
After living in northern BKK for some years I only discovered we actually have a local knocking-shop when my wife pointed it out to me (why she chose to tell me I still don't know).
testing your "abstinence level"..........
Is Thailand The Best Place To Retire Or Pristine Singapore?
in General Topics
Posted
Is n't it 'horses for courses".............in this case what fits into one's budget.Thailand is a lot cheaper than singapore. With regards to the opposite sex,am sure most of us want this, its just a question of tow rai!
What i like about thailand is the lack of enforcement of regulations. Here on SAMUI the police are about as scarce as "hens teeth" until its "tea money' collection time.
Life in thailand i find very free(not money wise of course)and easy,as long as you have the funds to enjoy yourself.Generally speaking i find thais very friendly towards foreigners probably more so than most nationalities.
IMHO to enjoy life here you have to accept their way of life and not try or wish to change any damn thing. It cost nothing to smile, gives joy to the receiver and happiness from the giver.Try going back to the west and walk down "main street" and see how many smiles you receive!
