  1. E-visas are approved by the Embassy in the country of application. And as far as I am aware the embassies all follow both Thai and local holidays.
  2. Yellow fever. Only if you've been to those countries. Thats it.
  3. Maybe they will have "helpers" to check who has or not got their QR code ready, they used to do similar with the TM6. Anyone without can go to a single mile long queue to complete the formalities, the rest of us can sail through unhindered.
  4. Presumably you entered on your old passport? Most places would have cancelled that when issuing the new one, maybe it's a special German thing but cannot imagine for what reason. Nevertheless it ought to be straightforward to get everything moved over although immigration might wonder why the old one was not cancelled.
  5. ....but in any case the information has to be entered in "English".
  6. Problem with an air-bounce is the airline will want to see an onward ticket when you check in for the return. A land bounce is best done as a trip organised by an agency or you'll likely need to spend a day or two in Laos/Cambodia and cannot be sure what you'll be asked for on return. As for the 20k, just take it, probably not needed but why not.
  7. Probably thought it was safer than leaving it in her hotel.
  8. One minute before immigration in fact - they have already said there will be provision on arrival for those that didn't already complete it.
  9. Methinks the headline is wrong again. "Not sooner than 3 days" would be more accurate.
  10. Same with True now. Never used to be the case. But now your registered name can be found on the app, even with a prepaid SIM.
  11. Good beer and good bread. Worth the effort of checking your passport on entry.
  12. It's actually still in use at most crossings in fact, only 8 land crossings (the busier ones) had it suspended.
  13. You mean you are still there now, still waiting?
  14. Yes it's in Chachoengsao. Happy memories many years ago stopped there after getting married for a celebration lunch in KFC. Nowadays it always seems so packed I'd avoid it unless absolutely desperate.
  15. Maybe so, but my bank alerted to to the discrepancy and True fixed it.
  16. Why? The only thing that gets "approved" is simply that you have entered information in the form correctly. Nothing is checked or verified. And as has been stated if it is not done in advance there will be a facility to do it on arrival.
