  1. Yep, take your watch off, don't play phone......same in Bangkok right now, refreshing much!
  2. Free? Are these things otherwise expensive?
  3. There's an example in this thread, but you'll likely need to go to the bank for it - might be worthwhile calling the bank helpline in advance to make sure it can be obtained on the spot, or that they can ensure it is produced ready for you to go pick up.
  4. My transfers to k bank also show as local, but when I get a statement they are international. You'll need to get a statement I'm sure, not just your bank book.
  5. Presumably something that he and his previously noisy family are now keen to keep quiet about.
  6. Just wondering, why wouldn't this person just renew the UK passport now? Takes little time and then any issue is avoided.
  7. But I read on here all the time, "use an agent".
  8. It has been reported here several times that if using the priority/fast track immigration lines that you inform the officer you need a REP and you will be directed/escorted to get it.
  9. 1). Yes. 2). Not always but how to predict? I did 2 tourist extensions not long ago, 1 for me, 1 for my gf. I was not asked for a TM30. She was. 3). I did these as "e-extensions" via VFS. If it's worth it or not is up to you. https://thaiextension.vfsevisa.com/
  10. Nope, that's 5, not included in the OP; 5) Evidence of relationship 5.1 Copy of Birth certificate and household registration of Thai children
  11. It ought to be easy to change one of her numbers to an e-sim then no need to sell the phone.
  12. Maybe it's the one acknowledging overstay issues. I recently did an extension and there were 3 "statement" documents given to me to fill in. The document check people will provide it.
  13. People who want to travel regularly away from where they live buy cars.
  14. All the banks publish their current rates on their websites. Easy enough to look up a few banks to see if one is better than another.
  15. I can't imagine any advantage to try and do anything at immigration before leaving. If he's worried they wont let him leave then equally they wont want to transfer anything. If it's only the chip that is damaged (front cover or back, can't recall) but the photo page (that is the thing that is "machine readable") is intact then I don't see a problem leaving, and certainly not arriving in the UK. If he's intending to go elsewhere then a new passport might be a good idea, but even then the application process for a damaged passport is not necessarily the same as for a well kept one.
  16. Korat? Note to self, stay in Bangkok.
  17. That's what I did, no comments received so must have been OK. Blue ink.
  18. Better than in India. Order a "pint" and you'll get a half. If you want a pint you have to tell them "full pint".
  19. That's a denied entry stamp? Might have been better to get a new passport I very much doubt they would cover that with a visa sticker but don't see why they wouldn't use that last page as there's plenty of room elsewhere for entry/exit stamps.
  20. Where? Better to ask your neighbours than here. I use True and have never had any issue, 35-100 Mbps is normal (right now 93.6) depending on the time of day. And downloading from where?
  21. I also end up with some scrubbing out of some parts, normally the dates. It would be a piece of cake to change the format to something more out of this century but that's unlikely to happen until the next. I also wonder why anything is in Thai at all, 99% of people filling the form can't read Thai and one would hope that 90% of the immigration folks can read enough English to know hat has been declared. But, take it easy and we always get there in the end.
  22. The basic answer to the question is YES. You can enter visa exempt or tourist and convert to a non-O in country then extend . Or enter non-O and extend. If you have the cash (in a Thai bank account) ought to be relatively easy, if not that's a hurdle relatively easy to overcome.
