Over the past couple of weeks there has been a noticable decline in snow birds and two week millionaires in pattaya. BRICS will be happy to buy and sell to a wide variety of countries who may no longer want to trade with the usa either because of the tariffs or because they see the current usa regime threatning to annex or invade soverign countries like canada, panama, greenland for starters. There is much more to trade than trading goods. There are a wide range of political issues tied into it. Countries who do a lot of trade also have a lot of meetings and interaction with high level officials from both countries involved. The more these officials meet and get to know each other the more likely it is that many other issues will be brought up. These meetings can and do result in many other areas such as security, investments , cultural exchanges, and a wide range of interwoven issues. Diplomacy has been around for centuries for good reason. There are a lot of countries who can fill a lot of orders if the usa consumers no longer wants to pay the tariff and buy the goods. What we are already seeing is new alliances being formed between such countries as Japan, South Korea and China. It would be foolish to think that trade alliances will not likely lead to alliances in other areas and some of these new alliances will not be favorable to the USA. Prachuap fits well....only concern might be lack of public transport though many people do just fine with a bycycle or walking or if u don't have a motor cy or car there are tuk tuks that u can ultimately figure out how to hire to take you to the big stores or other needs. It is quiet, it is Thai, it has some very good beaches and it is very affordable...train goes from there to wherever you want to go north or south. I think it could be a very pleasant place to live for a few years especially if you don't require much if any nightlifte or bars or fancy restaurants etc. Second choice is chiang rai except the smoke is literally a killer a few months a year.
