  1. I'm not so sure. I think this person is a genuine, bona fide nutcase of his own volition. Not all loyal royalists are on someone's payroll. There are some real people out there who seriously believe royalty of any country are more than ordinary mortals. Once the seed of this belief germinates and becomes the focus of their respect and admiration, they are completely lost to logic, reasoning or intellectual persuasion. It is an article of faith with them and they will tolerate no contrary views. In other words, dangerous fanatics.
  2. Same in Philippines '
  3. Forming this new party will keep up the pressure on the dug in autocrats. Even if it again suffers the same fate as its predecessors , it is worth continuing the struggle and never giving up. The constitutional court has pulled this trick three times now and there will likely be a fourth since why change a winning strategy . However, in the end , as more incarnations are dissolved , it will become grotesquely obvious that the constitutional court is a long way from being unbiased . As it is now , this is already common knowledge to almost everyone , but for a small powerful minotity , it has not yet become a severe enough embarressment to give up the strategy . Nonetheless , in the end they will have to buckle under pressure or have another coup which if unsuccessfull will be their swansong.
  4. More likely , Here Today Gone Tomorrow party Those that have been instrumental in killing off any threat to their hegemony will just continue to repeat the methods they have used so successfully up until now. They are 100% bound to find some fault with any new incarnation of MFP so don't expect a third time lucky scenario. Only huge and prolonged protests in every province can hope to make a dent in the status quo.
  5. You think that's bad. Just try to get laid at short notice there and see how far you get.
  6. Yea right. Fact is , democratic process has been trashed and the rule of law selectively applied. Again and again and again How about a little respect for the millions of votes ? Guess they don't mix in the right circles.
  7. Riding against traffic and 4 on a motorcycle. Both illegal but in a country where ignoring traffic laws is perfectly normal ....accidents are frequent and soon forgotten.
  8. Oh well. Maybe you can guess a lucky lottery number as compensation. It seems pretty clear that even if there is a third incarnation of MFP , that attempts in every way to be squeaky clean , goal posts will be moved , rules bent and people banned for just about anything you can and cannot think of. They will not be allowed in any driving seat. It is sadly ironic that the war cry of Suthep and his blind yellow shirt follows was ' Patiroop ' ...............reform. Yet when a bona fide new party easily wins an election on a platform of reform , suddenly ' reform ' is a dirty word. Clearly , the only reform the PDRC really wanted was a system that blocked out the popular vote so emphatically that no other reform would be possible and the rich and powerful would maintain their hegonomy with the thinnest of democratic veneers meant to impress the international community. As for people who say the Thais are gutless for putting up with this .....short memories.
  9. If you are going to camp I recommend the cool season. In the hot season you won't sleep and in the wet season....rained out. There is even a well equiped Campground in Bangkok ( Bangkok Backyard ) on the edge of a lake with full ameneties. Looks ok and quite popular although probably not much cheaper than a hotel though.
  10. They are. Served with mashed potatoes , carrots , broccoli and gravy. I have to make the pastry in the air con bedroom as not cool enough in the kitchen. Keep in freezer and only eat as a special treat.
  11. Batch of chicken and mushroom pies.
  12. Linda Linda , Linda Linda, Linda Linda, oi oi oi .
  13. And ladies and gentlemen , if you care to look out of any window you will see the crystal clear water of the Ratchaprapa dam. But for Buddhas sake DON'T open any of them !!
  14. Never mind Simon. Don't take it so hard. Even Thais get confused sometimes.
  15. I disagree. The nation survived the Toxteth riots and it will move on from this as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_Toxteth_riots Look what happened after George Floyd was murdered. Mass looting. What has stealing got to do with the trigger event. I have seen the latest videos and watched people breaking into shops and stealing the contents. Not a very political thing to do. Nonetheless, although these dregs of society are mainly concerned with enjoying themselves and filling their pockets their behavior will serve the needs of the far right just as well as if they were paid up members of the EDL. Civil war Bob ? I don't think so. If there are thousands protesting there are millions who are not and are disgusted by what is happening. When those responsible are brought to justice they will be crying into their beers.
  16. I think a majority of them now are not politicaly motivated at all. Just a bunch of youthful malcontents and losers who have jumped on the bandwagon for a cheap thrill and the chance of an opportunistic ' thieve up '. I hope the CCTV images will be carefully scrutinized and as many as possible of these scumbags arrested and made to pay hefty fines or face a stint behind bars. In addition , those responsible for putting out fake news regarding the stockport stabbings should be tracked down and jailed.
  17. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 44 seconds
