  1. Hi KS That harrow leaves a nice finish. At the start of the year i was going back to no-till but have now decided to disc everything. Reason is i think i can mow then disc the land twice for half of the price of using chemicals. I run the risk of rutting up the fields with heavy rain but input costs come 1st. Here is a picture of some offset discing yesterday taken this morning(phone camera on way out) One pass and a little clumpy, another pass in a week or so will leave it good enough to seed into. That was done at 10kph.
  2. Hi KS A mate told me the other day around here bailing contractors are offering 100 baht/rai for the straw. Sounds about right as their costs add up. We had 58mm of rain over the weekend so been doing some maint. work on the offset disc putting scrapers on front row of disc's and a bit of grease. To wet today but will have another go tomorrow, just want to skim the surface over ready to plant some sunn hemp.
  3. Who will be looking after it. You mention we. A 1000 litre IBC on a trailer(iron buffalo) and water can may work out more practical. Stagger the watering. Some trees might require more water than others.
  4. If he works on the 1/3rd assets in Thailand and 2/3rd's in the bank method he should be ok.
  5. He went off the rails about the time someone in his family passed, should of been put on the market last year. Our pres has jack dancer so not all well at the club. Zurharr bagged 5 in a practice match and by all reports the new game plan is falling into place. I know you don't like cricket Alex but have to say the BBL final last night was a ripper. Still can't believe the Scorchers got home.
  6. Some of the bigger hardware stores have small ones(new) I tested one the other day but even though it was rated at 3400 rpm the airflow was poor. If you cant find anything 2nd hand,i use an electric blower, multi speed and can clean the yard with it.Something like this. https://www.thaiwatsadu.com/th/product/เครื่องเป่าลม-MAKITA-รุ่น-M011-M4000B-สีเขียว-60319304?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIz5nz6KT9_AIVzsBMAh2PGwn_EAQYASABEgIbwvD_BwE
  7. Do you have a safety feature built in if spinning meter and they shut line for maintenance.
  8. Nice steady rain here west of Khon Kaen, should freshen things up a bit. AQI down to 49.
  9. Get one of the dolls that Aussie fella had and leave in your flat, might be better bang for buck till he gets back in the groove.
  10. I thought it was bad here in Isan today at 62 till i read this thread. Rain on the way tomorrow with a bit of luck.
  11. Well it's a little over nine weeks and still waiting. I guess christmas and new year have contributed to the delay.
  12. Pigeon english. Have found a store(MAMA) now that they can tell whether 43 or 45 links. The actual saw itself has been reliable for the price. In the future now i have a better understanding i will look at using the excisting saw for mobile jobs with the genset and buy a bigger electric motor model for the bulk of the work where we have mains power.
  13. That would be my main concern. Even though the fence is built back inside the boundary markers. Maybe not the old lady but the tractor contractor comes in and each year skims a little bit more off the bund wall.It will happen.
  14. Looks like he has done a good job though and wall should be ok.
  15. There was a trial program put in place. Which has now been removed. But i understand the governments thinking, let's not discriminate. The program that was removed should have been for All Australians. https://www.dss.gov.au/families-and-children-programs-services-welfare-reform-cashless-debit-card/cashless-debit-card
  16. Don't know about the fixed type. We used to have the box type the Mrs used after childbirth. Sit down.zip it up and sweat. Used to work good but never felt comfortable sitting over a rice cooker with electrical cable and condensation. Have been in a fixed one and they also had a larger rice cooker in the corner.
  17. Old trick is to use an adjustable spanner on the grip of the screwdriver for extra torque.
  18. Yep,that's why i included the 120 baht wand in the picture as it is adjustable for pressure and stream. Ours works fine on our sandstone finished area, only downfall is the wand only covers about an inch in area so be prepared to be patient. Before the sandstone you had to be careful on concrete not taking the seal of the top creating moisture.
  19. Bit late to the party but love your wall. Did you ever consider gabien baskets versus the rings and wall. I priced some the other day at 650 baht for a cage 1 metre long by 1 metre wide by 1.5 metres high. Our local quarry quoted 170 baht for 75mm plus size rock. I presume per ton(not cubic metre) as sent the wife into ask.
  20. I left the country and didn't reset dates, just went on old slip in passport. Applied online 4 days after due reporting date and was accepted. So in reality was more like a forty day report. The date i arrived in country is part of the requirement on the form so maybe got a relaxed IMM officer who signed off on it.
  21. I found the best one is home made. Get a piston pump the farmers use,a wand and 50 metre roll of hose. Make a frame and power by 2nd hand motor. Heaps of pressure and worth the effort.
  22. Around here burning the stubble, left over leaves from hand cutting. After harvest so they can then use a duel straight shank tyne behind tractor to incorporate fertilizer for the next growing season before applying water. Not so many harvesters here but bailing the stubble is picking up slowly. Price up to 1400 baht a ton for sugar now.
  23. Did a 90 day report online for an English mate yesterday lunchtime and approved this afternoon. HuaHin is his office. Don't know if it makes a difference but i noticed there are a few different British nationality boxes to choose from. A few at the top then scrolled down to GBR - British which he is. It may help others with rejections or not who don't scroll down to G. It was also his 1st report with a new passport.
