  1. Doesn't really matter how long you've been away. As long as you're eligible, you can receive it. You will however have to do your 2 year period in Australia to get portability.
  2. Oh Dear Looks like you're wrong (again)???? https://www.bbc.com/sport/netball/66423459
  3. Well men That's it for round 21. A fair few picked 7 but the Kit Kats go to Scea for being closest to the margin. All starts again next week. Until next time.
  4. If he had been living overseas and came back to claim the pension, he has to do the 2 year period. Going overseas for an extended period during this time would/could result in his pension being stopped.
  5. I'm pretty sure if you have been living in Australia full time, you get portability once you're eligible for the pension. If you've been away for a lengthy period however, you have to do 2 years in Australia.
  6. Are you sure about that? It doesn't look to be the case. I someone back home who doesn't have portability who travelled to Thailand for a month and his pension wasn't stopped. https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/travel-outside-australia-rules-for-age-pension?context=22526
  7. If he hasn't got portability, pretty sure it's stopped automatically after a certain period away.
  8. Not sure if you know the duties of the Oz Embassy. Answering pensions questions isn't one of them. Services Australia (Centrelink, Pensions, Social Security and Medicare) Consular staff are unable to provide information on Centrelink, pensions, social security or Medicare. Please contact Services Australia directly if you wish to discuss their range of payments and services. 9. Yep Aldi for me as well. https://www.aldimobile.com.au/collections/payg
  10. No Friday Funnies from Uncle Alex this week so here's a little Melbourne flavoured video for him.
  11. Do they still hold the Ashes though?
  12. Watched it years ago. It's a cracking series.
  13. 1985 Two episodes in and really enjoying this one. TPB with HC subs. A journey back in time to the turmoil of the 1980s, when the Brabant Killers sowed terror in Belgium. For some reason I can't post the trailer from Dailymotion.
  14. Thats is not a requirement for a tourist visa. OP getting her over for 6 months with work conditions wouldn't be easy. However, being married for 11 years should make it pretty easy to get a tourist visa.
  15. New series by the Beeb. In an isolated house in the country a family find themselves the victims of a terrifying psychopath's cruel games.
  16. Pretty sure you don't even follow the game, just stirring the pot again I see. Surely we don't need more of the Aussies vs Poms crap again. Was an excellent series by two closely matched sides.
  17. I didn't mind this one. Oscar De La Hoya was an Olympic boxing gold medalist and a multi-world title-winning professional boxer. Nicknamed “The Golden Boy,” De La Hoya, with his good looks and heartfelt story of winning Olympic gold for his dying mother, rocketed to national prominence both in and outside the ring. Yet, all was not what it appeared to be behind that polished facade.
  18. Mother Undercover Follows four moms who take extraordinary measures to save and shield their kids from crimes like murder, international kidnapping, mass suicides, and judicial corruption.
  19. Well Gents That's it for a round of upsets. A whole heap of got 3, but Rip gets the Pollywaffle's this week again. Until next time.
  20. The worst thing is I changed my tip to Norf just before the bounce. Oh well, I'm enjoying it.
  21. Bloody hell Uncle Alex, never seen a round like it. All of the lower sides won. Hope it continues with WC
  22. Season 2 of C'est comme ça que je t'aime out now. TPB This is a really good show. Sorry, couldn't find a trailer with English subs. In a quiet suburb of Quebec City in 1974, two couples in crisis realize that their relationships are falling apart. Infidelity and betrayal are exposed and a sequence of unexpected events will transform both couples into murderers.
  23. Series 2 of Dark Winds has started to drop.
  24. These are just off the top of my head. Couldn't be arsed looking for more but they're out there. https://wwos.nine.com.au/afl/caroline-wilson-reveals-james-hird-essendon-sacking-story-biggest-career-regret/ec828d0e-4e38-4962-a420-9bc9e202398f https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/cripps-wins-apology-over-hotel-claim-20230530-p5dcly.html https://www.nmfc.com.au/news/51047/caroline-wilson-says-sorry-to-north-melbourne
