Phuket Sandbox is failing foreign tourists: tourism official
sezze replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
The only difference is staying quarantine on a island vs quarantine inside room . It gives more legroom , but that is the difference . The sandbox will never be a success , that is a fact . Do people want to travel , sure . As long as the list of requirements are easy to get by ( a no for Thailand ) , and local infection numbers are low also ( another no for Thailand ) and last but not least , have something to do back there ( and again a no for Thailand ) . Why would anybody without business/family/relative come there right now , i really can't see it ...- 207 replies

Problems with MUST inverters
sezze replied to JBChiangRai's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Something i have found on another website about Sorotec Revo inverters ( they are sold in Thailand also ) . They also make some noise , but somebody added changing his original fans by 12cm Be Quiet computer fans with a duct entrance , making his unit whisper quiet , and using less power then the original fans . Noctua and Be Quiet fans are available in Thailand for around 600-900 baht a piece . Since warranty is not really happening in Thailand it might be a very good solution to a known problem of most if not all ventilator inverters ( like the Must units ) . -
Solar Panel and GTI Questions
sezze replied to 007 RED's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Not to forget that Sofar units are good priced vs the cheaper but less efficient Souer units ( about 2500baht, 1000watt ) . I just checked 1.6kW Sofar for 9700 baht , JFY also for less then 10k available (1500 watt) , INVT is just above 10000 baht . -
That went well! - Tesla Megapack fire.

Which batteries do they house ? If i'm correct these are Li-ion based , like 18650 cell or similar . These batteries have advantages over Lifepo4 ( much larger capacity) but also disadvantages , biggest one being more unstable then lifepo4 . Li-ion should only be used by well known users/companies , since they build in several safety features , but even then it can happen . Lifepo4 is much more stable and can be used for building battery packs for home , also with safety features like BMS to not overload them . This is important since not all battery techniques are the same , and news like that might set people of to use such systems while they are very good . -
There are a lot of things around , it is not that easy to say . A some countries count very easy , while other don't like counting the deaths . This can be found out by the regular expected deaths vs the real numbers but they are way slower . B some countries test a lot , others test much less C some countries got older populations or in general have a higher BMI ( a valid risk ) . D some countries have different climate , hot places in general live more outside then inside reducing risk E some countries have different cultures , people can have a more reserved nature while others like to stay much closer together . Drawing lines between all these things is far from easy , and needs loads of research in order to get a more correct view on how/what/where/why ... Stupid example , why was there nearly nothing for over 1y in large parts of Asia , while suddenly there is a large outbreak ( Thailand is of of them , but is far from the only country in the region in same situation ) . Other examples are plenty , like in Italy 1st wave , heavy hit area , middle of the heavy hit area , 1 village had nothing , all surrounding villages were hit very hard . Many things are known by now , many other questions remain .

I could be wrong but you also need the tracking software on your phone right ?

Buying new cartridge, it doesn't make sense how expensive it is?
sezze replied to AndyAndyAndy's topic in IT and Computers
HP is THE single brand which is mighty expensive for ink refills . Enough other printer brands around which offer much cheaper solutions , like others mentioned here . I once had a HP , made the same mistake and threw it out after a few years , since i don't print a lot and i could do it at work . A couple of y ago i bought a cheap Canon Pixma , works everytime ( ink doesn't dry out , also a problem with my HP ) , and printcartridges are at least 50% of the price of HP . Much higher series offer ink bottles , for 1000s and 1000s of pages . -
Thailand strives to elevate tourism industry striken hard by pandemic
sezze replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Quality tourists , what does that mean ? We all heard it before , but nobody ever mentioned what a quality tourist actually is . Attracting very wealthy people ? Thailand is not a very good destination , since the quality offered is very low vs other rich destinations . Also , if they want only the rich to come , what are they gonna do with all the hotels and tourism based industry , since it is a small group you want to come .- 144 replies

Cut the <deleted> , yes we all going to get it . I you believe in all kinds of theories or not , does not matter . If you vaccinated larger chance you stay outside hospital . No deniying it , vaccinated persons are less likely to die or have hospital admissions . There is no 100% solution , vaccinate and yes you might get sick also , but much less likely to be in serious problem .

Extensive field studies ... in a bar drinking beer . Sure there are girls with 2500 or even a lot more mileage on their counter , but saying it is the average is a big thing . Also , if you care about how many man she had before , why care about a girl from a bar . I cannot understand the double standard , like a fight between religion and hormones . You do have to except that not all men are the same and neither are all woman . Bargirls come in plenty of varieties , same like the men ( well actually more different on the woman side ) . Some girls are looking for relationship , other are just looking for cash . Even between those 2 there are huge overlaps . I've met and talked to many many girls before as part of my personal field study . The ones i add as field study are in the phase where she knows i im not interested in going with her but just having a friendly talk , since i've known them long time ( meaning knowing them for multiple holidays , talking with them in bar might or might not gone with her ever before ). I can tell you that 2500 by 25 is not at all the average , but some are surely.

KN95 is a different name for FFP2 masks . FFP2 is the classification used by the western side of the world while KN95 is used by the eastern ( China) side of the world . A higher number represents a higher protection , FFP3 is equal to KN100 .

What exactly does the 2nd pic do ? Since the 1st is a hybrid inverter , with breaker box , all in one , charger inverter . 3th pic are the batts , but i do not get 2nd pic . I see a 12V inverter 3000W it states , and a charge controller . The batteries are not wired on the fuses also , so it must have been the old system , replaced by the new .

I am thainking , you do hell did you meet , i never ever seen a girl even the girl who were online , all is easy if you ever had a school/study . Sure there are online spots , and some will earn good cash , but most will not . And online isn't at all the same like real , if you think so , there was no reason at all for them to exist last 20 years , plenty of free porn on the internet . "But i pay for internet porn " , ok good for you , paying content imho only matters if you have the option to meet the girl , but who am i to judge , let the public decide . They won't get any money from me , and i think that goes for the most of the people.

October reopening?
sezze replied to NorthernRyland's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you want to come Thailand , it's "open" sort of speak , and i do not expect it to open more this year , unless they call it sandbox , coconut box , desperate tourist box , whatever box . They will keep the rules , and they will keep them for some time to come . Maybe they will bring down the quarantine to 7 days , but you gonna need the extra insurance , tracking app , full reservation , prepay tests , coe ... for some unknown time . And if you test positive on 1 of the tests , say hello to your holiday , and try to get the money they want from the insurance company ( which will prob use all tricks in the book to not pay ) . So October , August , December , imho , all the same right now ( ok by the end of the y , prob more gonna be open as in not so lock down anymore ). -
Thailand’s plant-based COVID-19 vaccine starts human trials
sezze replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
What kind of b ****it more are we gonna get . You can make all kinds of stupid phrases but chemistry is chemistry . Where ever it comes from is a load of <deleted> . In the end you are making a vaccine which in my textbook , MRNA , inactivated virus , live virus , ...you make or have some kind of proteins in some sort of combo . Proteins are the building blocks of RNA/DNA and since you want to use something which your body can recognize as incoming virus , you need something which replicates it in a less harmful way then the original virus . Were ever the chemicals come from does not matter since you are making something else with it , a process called SYNTHESIS . You can make water from H2 and O2 , but you can also make water from petroleum or from cheese . In the end the result is the same H2O . Where ever it comes from is pure advertising bull .... . BTW , if they can make a vaccine , it is always good , but saying ooohhh it's plant based is just like i said before .
