Done! Revenue Office Udon Thani. Got a TIN in Sept.2024 - 15 Min. Jan. 7th filed tax return - 30 Min. Officer didn't speak English, I didn't speak Thai. Payed Baht 4,700 Tax. (expected Baht 15,000). It certainly isn't worth the risk to be in legal trouble...

Well, first of all I am proud of you and you should be proud of yourself for standing your ground. But: Be aware that your name got a mark on it. The law says "any other evidence the IO will request". Next time you might have to do a little extra work... I've got my COR in Udon this week in 5 Min. ask for a quite from WrLife. One of their attachments are the exclusions. They not hiding it...

Pacific Cross just increased my policy by 35% because I'm entering the next age bracket (76-80). I was aware of that . Checked out WrLife. Sounds good, reasonable, fair, ethical....but when I got to the small print .... They exclude most of the sicknesses old men get for the first 5 years. After that still 41 typically old age illnesses are excluded... In other words insured but not insured. Yes, Pacific Cross is more expensive, but doesn't have all this exclusion. I'll stay. Ethical advertised doesn't always mean Ethical. .

yes, 3BB covers all 5 of us at home, very high speed, very high volume. On the road I have a AIS on top package baht 27/month for 800 mb. that's enough, because wereever I go regularly I will automatically be connected to Wifi. About a dozen places like Lotus, Coffee House, daughter school etc. can't get it better!!!

it's a simple matter of math. cumulated half a day of paperwork, half a day immi. saves me 20000 baht. where else you will earn that in just one day? just follow the rules!

I play golf for 40 years. 20 in Thailand. golf has changed: 5, 6, 7 flights. 5, 6, 7 hours turnaround. using carts. dress code (including muscleshirts), alcohol and zigaretts on course, overweight etc. with 75 now, I decided to play alone on my local golf course. early morning, no caddie. just the nature, the ball and me. 2h15 for 18 holes. satisfaction pure.

i agree with vangrop. Most uk's, coming to Thailand never learnt how to speak high english.all accent and slang. they not even try. Not Gentleman Like... where i come from, everybody speaks the written language especially when speaking with none natives.
