We know absolutely nothing about his health, but we do know that based on his state of mind he is in severe decline, and we do know that he has a terrible diet, and he likely never exercises. At the age of 80 he has a one and three chance of not making it to 84. Though I am not fond of him, Vance taking over is a nightmare scenario. Mylie Cyrus and Pauly Shore are more qualified.

It is absolutely correct, I've been going back to the US 2 to 5 times a year and the prices are out of control. I never said that I liked the Biden economy, I never said consumer confidence was high, and I've always made an argument that the stock market is not an indication of a healthy economy for half a dozen different reasons. However Trump does carry some of the blame for high inflation, he spent like a drunken sailor, he increased the deficit by 7 trillion, and his tariffs and trade war with China increased prices significantly. But nobody wants to talk about that.

They have qualified for legal immigration, do you not understand that concept? Do you really think that it's correct to deport legal immigrants? Where does that hatred and racism come from? I truly understand the desire amongst people to deport illegal aliens, but legal immigrants and people who have been in the US their whole life? Please just try to establish a small modicum of common sense, and decency.

My observations, he's a very old 79, his cognitive skills are in major decline, he will enact project 2025, and he will not follow up on a lot of his promises. But I'm posting less and less on this forum about Trump, because his followers (now that he's been reelected) prefer to elevate him to the status of a saint, and a do-gooder, and prefer to forget about his lifetime of criminality, moral bankruptcy and malfeasance. There doesn't seem to be any room for criticism nor acknowledgment of who he truly is on this forum, amongst the majority.

The prices keep on going up but you're talking about a holiday weekend, so I would be content with a four-star. You'll get you'll still get a lot of room for your money. The only way we can personally find inflation is to just say no to piracy.

Running Out Of Money. Need Advice.
spidermike007 replied to JimTripper's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That's a tough position to be in, my heart certainly goes out to him, being broke is no fun. I had a friend who was in a similar position and fortunately he was a skilled tradesman, and he was able to go back to the US and start working for the union again building skyscrapers in San Francisco. Without a skill he's in a tough spot, my guess is he's going to have to go back to his native country and live on the graces of his family for a while. I had another friend who this happened to it, he was a very clever and charming guy, very industrious, a hard worker, and quite skilled as an English teacher, but he just couldn't get a good solid, steady job that paid enough money. He took a contract in Vietnam, it didn't work out and he ended up completely broke. He accepted help from his brother moved back to the States and in his 50s, he got a job working in Kmart, which is all he would qualify for. He put up with that for about 2 years and then took his own life. I spoke to him 6 months before he killed himself and he said if he can't get back to Thailand, if he has to live like this it's just not worth it. He sounded really desperate. -
Bangkok to bang-bang: Thai tourist shot in escort row in India

Sounds like she went to the hotel to service one man, and found out he wanted all his buddies taken care of too. -
After this defeat, the leadership of the democratic party absolutely must admit not only their irrelevance, but the fact that they are taking the party down with them. I say dismantle the entire party and attempt the rebuild it with more youthful Americans who have a vision for the nation that excludes the radical left.

The blame game starts. This had little to do with misogyny. But, taking the blame requires maturity. -
For a man in his position, one would hope he had thicker skin. The fact that he is so over sensitive does point toward some serious self esteem issues. I would recommend 300 hours of good therapy. Or just looking within for the source of the problem. Maybe, just maybe he is a snowflake, and loves being a victim? Regardless, anyone who reacts like this appears to be quite a wimp. Remind you of anyone?

Prawit's Hopes Dashed: Boonchai Wins Thailand Aquatics Election
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Anytime this extremely old and very, very toxic man suffers a defeat this is a victory for the Thai people, and a victory for the nation. This man should never have been allowed to come anywhere near the corridors of power, and I don't think he's ever done a single thing to benefit the Thai people. It's always been about him, and him only. -
No, men do not have menopause, however men do mature and get older and we go through various periods in our life. As we enter our 50s nightlife is simply not as appealing as it once was, we may become less tolerant of nonsense, and we may establish other priorities. That is natural and that is healthy, embrace it, deal with it, man up and move on.

The blame game starts and the bottom line is that people like Pelosi and Biden and all these other dinosaurs need to be evicted from the Democratic party leadership and the party needs to be rebuilt. From an editorial in the NY Times. Jaime Harrison who runs the Democratic National Committee, will pass the baton in humility and bewilderment . . . but to whom? Rep. Ro Khanna, a progressive considered a future presidential candidate, called for the party to start over. “There needs to be new thinking, new ideas and a new direction. And, you know, the establishment produced a disaster.” It’s hard to know where to start. Trump’s smashing win shows he has built a durable and diverse working-class coalition. He held strong with every voting bloc, and made gains with most. In 2020, he lost Latino men to Biden by 36 to 59 percent; this year, he won them 55 to 43. Many women voted for abortion rights ballot initiatives while supporting Trump, whose Supreme Court justices helped overturn Roe. Young men under age 30, whom Biden won by 15 points four years ago, now voted for Trump by 14 points. The entire country, including blue states, moved rightward. This affirmed the GOP argument that Democrats are considered elitist and out of touch, speaking only to the 43 percent of the electorate with college degrees. They are seen as soft on crime, wrong on energy production, and as radical culture warriors who expect us all to welcome boys on to girls sports teams and say “birthing persons;” people who, in a quest for social justice, label everyone who disagrees with them bigots and racists.

There are a few things in this world that are more pathetic than an incredibly weak man who does not have the will to move on when a relationship is not working, or to suck it up when a relationship has failed. This guy looks like one of the vermin who falls into that category. I always say it's important to really take your time getting to know someone, and to make sure that you really like her family, because in Thailand you're not just marrying the woman, you're marrying the family too, so you better make sure these are people you like and respect.

Just say no to the trans community, just say no to political extremism on the left, just say no to Uber woke and ridiculous PC notions. They are responsible at least in part for the loss of the election as people perceived the Democratic party as being weak, and pandering to the progressives on the left. -
Harris, Biden camps blame each other for loss
spidermike007 replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
It is both the Harris and the Biden camps that are responsible for what was a stunning loss. There were so many things that were done wrong, Biden should have been asked to step aside two and a half years ago, Harris should have been more on point with the issues, the border should have been talked about more openly, the economy should have been talked about more openly, the reality is this election loss is entirely on the dems and they must take responsibility or they are doomed to repeat themselves over and over and over. Trump simply took advantage of the fact that for many people it was the only option, regardless of how much they might have disliked him personally. -
Letitia James is told what time it is.
spidermike007 replied to Cryingdick's topic in Political Soapbox
How soon his past is forgotten, and how quickly the revisionist history begins. A good percentage of those billions that he sits on were stolen from small contractors, people who signed up for Trump University, bank fraud, tax fraud and a multiplicity of other crimes. Just because he won the election does not mean the man was not a career criminal. Acknowledging support for the man and whitewashing has past are two completely different things.
