VP Kamala Harris Had 92-Percent Staff Turnover
spidermike007 replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
There's about a 0% chance that Harris will refuse to debate Trump, she would look forward to it, she would relish it, and she would make mincemeat out of him, his lies, and his alternate reality. -
It doesn't matter whether it was voluntary or not, it was the right thing to do, it was a courageous thing to do, and it was a move that made me proud as an American, and made me admire and respect Biden even more than before. Very few people can say that about their GOP Master.

Delusion is a very, very powerful thing, and some seem to be suffering under a massive cloud of it. Of course the terms of the debate can be renegotiate, nothing wrong with that as far as I'm concerned. You can handicap Harris as much as you want and she's still going to trash Trump and make him regret ever stepping onto that stage. With his marginal intellect he's not a difficult man to beat. -
Net Zero: A Path to Poverty for the West, Prosperity for China
spidermike007 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There is some logic to some of what is stated here and then there is an awful lot of nonsense and an awful lot of shirking of responsibility. The sceptic will argue that anything we do could not possibly influence the climate, or effect the atmosphere. The planet is simply too large, and the population is too small to have any effect. Let the ships dump whatever they want into the ocean. The ocean is simply too large for anything we do to damage it. This frees them to buy as many plastic bottles as they please, consume plastic like mad, drive filthy diesel vehicles, and behave as if nothing effects anything. It's not us. It is just a cycle. We are not responsible! Leave us alone with our madness. It is all about the issues for me. Biden represented concern for the environment. So does Harris and the Dems. The GOP does not. His administration immediately stopped drilling, fracking and rlthe raping of national lands. All old growth lumber clearing on many of those lands ceased. That is a very big deal for me. Also, oil exploration in the Arctic, an area infinitely more difficult to protect in the event of the eventual massive spill, that will certainly happen, ceased. The recent spills have proven how unregulated and unprepared many aspects of this industry are, with regard to quality control of rigs, and spills, and the consequences of such cavalier and arrogant behavior toward the environment. The public lands are sacred to me, and the dems do a far better job of safeguarding them. Trump almost got away with selling off timber, mining, and oil rights, on tens of millions of acres of pristine wilderness. Thankfully he was blocked by the dems, and one of the first things Biden did, was to reverse the heinous and nearly catastrophic "orange stain land rape and abuse plan". Harris will likely continue to make an attempt to protect the environment, the national forests and the wilderness areas, things that Trump is against. He wants to plunder and pillage, just like in his last term. -
I like the fact that she did not attend a meeting with a genocidal extremist. Biden was fairly cooperative with Israel in regard to providing arms, and I would have preferred that he had been more discriminating and had put up a bit more of a fight. Hamas is a horrific organization and they need to be eliminated, but not at the cost of tens of thousands of women and children. That is cruel, that is apartheid, that is genocidal, and that's not acceptable for a nation that was founded upon the ashes of the Holocaust. However, people lacking any vision and morality, like Trump and Vance, want to rain down massive death and destruction on the Palestinians. And don't even consider calling me anti-semitic, or a Jew hater. I'm Jewish, I come from a Jewish family, and there's a lot of Jews that I'm very close to and I love many aspects of the culture. But, I question many aspects of Israeli politics, especially when it comes to extremism. And I also find the fact that Israel has the largest lobby within the US to be highly offensive, I find the fact that the US Congress and Senate have become Israel's lapdog highly offensive, and I think that when the president questions Israel, Netanyahu, and the extremists, this is a good thing for all parties concerned.

Riots by bidens/ harris new vision for America
spidermike007 replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
Such an incredibly deceptive title to this post by someone who seems to have a tremendous aversion to truth and reality. Having an opposing point of view when it comes to politics is perfectly fine and understandable as long as things are kept civil and reasonably close to reality, this is my primary issue with the GOP. Such an astonishing aversion to truth and integrity. -
Chalerm Declares Political War Against Thaksin
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Anyone who takes exception with Thaksin is likely taking a moral stand of some sort, against the man who has completely sold out his party, and his people, in order to return to his country and not serve time behind bars. Kudos to Chalerm, for calling out this morally bankrupt man. -
High hopes: Anutin’s green light for cannabis bill in Thailand
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Legalizing ganja was the right thing to do, it was the morally correct thing to do, and it was rather progressive for Thailand. There's no sense in moving the nation backwards again and going back to a place of reefer madness, and out of control RTP franchisees. Legalizing ganga was likely the only positive thing that Anutin has done in his public career.- 48 replies

VP Kamala Harris Had 92-Percent Staff Turnover
spidermike007 replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
That is a rather enormous bit of deflection and nonsense, he did have a plan to debate with Biden, Biden was the presidential candidate, so it makes total sense that the debate commitment would continue, with the current dem candidate. However he is simply showing us how much of a coward he is, and we all know how poorly he does against intelligent women. He would have been humiliated badly. -

Perhaps the 30 lies that he uttered in the last debate, or perhaps the 25 lies that he uttered in his convention speech, or perhaps any of the hundreds of lies that he's told over the last few years? The man has no relationship with truth, even his supporters acknowledge that. -

spidermike007 replied to KhunLA's topic in Political Soapbox
There is no doubt that he's scared of her and historically he is not done very well against intelligent women, he doesn't like them for one, and they just seem to get under his skin. She would have creamed him in a debate and caused him a great deal of humiliation. I knew he would cancel, that's just who he is, he's a major coward. He talks big, but that is about it. -
Riots by bidens/ harris new vision for America
spidermike007 replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
That is a very interesting take on Americana. I feel the opposite, I think at this point in time it is far more likely that Harris and her VP pick should it be Beshears or Shapiro, will beat Trump by 11 million votes or more. I also think there is a lot of Trump fatigue in America, and I think I'm even a lot of Trump supporters are sick of the nonsense and the constant hatred. -

Watching Vance speak is less exciting than watching paint dry. The man does not have one nanogram of charisma, charm, or humor. He is wooden and stilted. He is a totally manufactured human bot. -

Netanyahu is an extremist madman. She was wise to distance herself from him. Biden helped Israel alot. Too much, in my opinion. Hamas stinks and needs to be stopped. But, there has to be a better way than taking out 40,000 women and children. That is civilian slaughter. That is immoral.- 174 replies

I am a dem and support Biden. However, the inflation numbers are total lies. Anyone who believes them is not living in the US. Inflation is and has been out of control. Likely closer to 20%. And the economy is not great. Consumer confidence is very low. The stock market is pumped up to ridiculous levels, due to corporate cuts and stock buy backs and cannot sustain itself. Massive corrections are coming, regardless of who gets elected. It is true Trump's presidency was a failure and was very destructive. So, having said that, I would take Shia Labeouf over Trump. Anyone but Trump.

I put Trump's IQ at around 86 to 90. He is definitley not smart. However, he is a genius in one area only. As a con man and a huckster. -
OK. Where do I start. Here is what Trump has done for America!: Only 13 Presidents failed to get re-elected. Only 5 Presidents failed to win the popular vote. Only 4 Presidents have been impeached or resigned. Only 1 President has ever been criminally indicted. And only ONE President has done ALL FOUR. - DJT didn't lower taxes (He deferred them) - He didn't get Americans that healthcare coverage - He did not unite the USA, he divided it - He didn't lower prescription drug prices - He didn't get roads or bridges built He didn't decrease the deficit - He didn't end the opioid crisis - He made over 250 visits to his golf clubs costing us taxpayers $150 million - He didn't revive the coal industry - He didn't make covid-19 'disappear' He didn't make Mexico pay for the wall He is ranked the worst President in history He added $2 Billion a month in tariff costs to the American consumer He has a net-negative jobs creations for his administration He decreased corporate taxes, passing the tax burden to the workers He added $ 7.8 Trillion to the deficit - a full 25% of the total deficit He incited an insurrection against our government He is the only president to never achieve 50% approval. He didn't put "America first" and he sure didn't "Drain the Swamp... He left office with the worst job numbers of any President since the Great Depression with a net job loss over his term He is the first former president to be a CONVICTED FELON (34 times). The presidency is very much about character. Trump is a lowlife convicted felon.

You, like so many others give this semi senile, incoherent liar, far too much credit. She would call him out on his lies, and instantly humiliate him. -
Is Anutin Thailand's Prospective Next Prime Minister?
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand can continue with it's habit of appointing from the absolute bottom of the barrel. Find the worst person possible, and ask him or her to lead the nation. Seek out inferiority. A great recipe for regression. The once great tiger of SE Asia reduced to a sickly alley cat, begging for scraps. Not impressive. -
Just admit it Don. You got out maneuvered. You were outplayed. You messed up. Picking JD was a historic mistake, akin to Palin. He is an empty suit and is a negative for the ticket. If Harris picks someone strong like Shapiro or Beshear, it could be a slaughter. Imagine if Trump loses again? He and his horrendous family will be destroyed and erased from the face of politics, forever. MAGA will be finished. The world will be saved. LOL. Trump is now desperate. He can smell the loss. He will be humiliated and banished forever. See ya, Don.
