German President Praises Thailand's Democratic Progress
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
While that may be true it's still worthwhile to call him out for the complete liar and disingenuous man that he is. Saying something like that to the leader of a administration that has engaged in felonious theft of an election, against the will of the people, is just a bit beyond the pale. There is nothing democratic about the theft that has taken place here. -
German President Praises Thailand's Democratic Progress
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
No, I don't necessarily expect that, but when a man comes out and praises an administration that has stolen an election from a very worthy man, who the Thai people elected based on their dreams and aspirations (in concert with the toxic, corrupt and greedy army), and then praises the administration for its democratic progress, that is just total BS, total nonsense, a complete lack of integrity, throwing ethics under the bus, and completely demoralizing. Yes I agree that politicians are liars, but this takes it to a whole different level, this guy is a clown. -
No, I am not wrong about that. There's a big difference between surveys and boots on the ground. I have a business in America, I have many friends that have businesses in America, and they all say the same thing. Sales are way down, confidence is way down, and these studies mean nothing to us. They are abstract, we have no idea what questions they're asking, we have no idea how leading the questions are, and we have no idea what their agenda is. All we care about is real sales, and the discussions that we have with real consumers. Believe me, consumer confidence is way down.

In my opinion teachers are a bit like priests, they should be held to a higher standard. There's a great deal of trust that is put into them, and they are responsible for honoring that trust. When that bond of trust is broken, they should be punished severely. When a teacher attempts to molest students it doesn't get much lower than that. This guy should be locked up for life or executed, and it should happen quickly. And if it's not done by the law perhaps it can be done by the community. Vigilante justice baby!

House in Bangkok deemed to have supernatural powers up for sale
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I've heard of people that are potentially psychic, I've never heard of a house that is psychic and I've certainly never heard of a house that reveals black holes in distant quasars, well into other solar systems or galaxies. That's very unique, very very unique, and that's likely worth a million dollar premium. I have a business for sale and it also reveals not only black holes but the mysteries of nuclear fusion, and it's only 4 million dollars. Any buyers? -
I lived on Samui for many years. In Thailand we see much reckless driving, but Samui takes it to a whole different level. For some reason people think they can get on a car or a bike there and drive however they want to drive, as recklessly as they care to behave, and there will never ever be any consequences. There are. A friend of mine who worked for for Samui Rescue for years, told me that the numbers of deaths per month are astonishing, and that the authorities have been consistently lying about them for decades now. It is likely the highest per capita fatality rate on the planet, with regard to traffic accidents. A great deal of foreigners come to Samui either to live or to enjoy a nice vacation, and return home in a wooden box.

Lithuanian man fined 12,000 baht for drifting BMW in Chon Buri
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
There is not a single day that goes by in the nearly two decades that I've been in Thailand that have not seen locals engaging in very reckless driving Not a single day, yet none of them are ever pursued, the highway patrol is never on the highway, the police never pull anyone over. So why is this guy singled out? -
Things are rapidly changing in China, the economy is in big trouble, millions of people are leaving the urban centers to go back to the farms, and villages, and who knows what the future holds for them? It's very possible that communism could completely collapse, Xi will be exiled with his billions, and the whole Politburo and CCP will be dismantled. One can only hope and dream. Lock up the commie organ harvesters!

It does not matter, they utterly refused to allow him a leadership role, and if it weren't for the stocks they would have found something else. That was all just a big ruse, it was likely planned in advance, and it was just deceitful, morally bankrupt, and typically toxic behavior on the part of the greedy and insatiable Thai Army.

I'm not an expert so I don't know all the reasons for the drop in sales, but I do know that the newer models are much uglier than the previous models and I do know that the interior of a Tesla is very cheap and junky looking. It's does not have any level of luxury, feel cheaply made, and the only thing that's the tiniest bit interesting in the interior is the display monitor. that's it. Otherwise the car feels really junky.

Real inflation in the US is still hovering in the neighborhood of 20% I don't know where they get these numbers of 3.5 but every time I walk into the grocery store in the US my favorite products are up 20% after 2 or 3 months. No, inflation is barely dropping, the basket of commodities that they use has nothing to do with real life. And and consumer confidence is extremely weak too.

Absolutely no interest and I'm very happy that that's the case. We do discuss the news sometimes and occasionally we'll discuss some of the topics that I've seen on this forum, but reading this forum would be very uninteresting to her.

German President Praises Thailand's Democratic Progress
spidermike007 replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
President Steinmeier is obviously a man possessing a spectacular level of ignorance. Did he even pay attention to the most recent elections which were stolen by PT and the army? Does he know anything about the bought and paid for senators? Is this guy paying attention at all or is he simply sleep walking through life? It appears that he would say or do anything and it also appears that this clown is not a man possessing a shred of integrity. Exactly the same as the Thai Army and PT. -
It's not our fault, we are not to blame. Nothing that we do could possibly affect the planet because we're so small and the planet is so large. So whatever you do don't blame us, we are good and responsible people and we are really looking after the planet. After all it's no big deal because we have multiple alternative planets that we can move to if we need to.

This kind of thing happens frequently at the national parks in the US. People seem to equate an animal being cute with an animal being nice. Big mistake. These animals can be vicious and they do not care about humans one iota. Why should they? So exercise your survival instincts and be smart. Being dumb or spectacularly ignorant around animals rarely pays off. My guess is he will never forget this lesson.
-
Totally agree in regard to people being obliviously ignorant when it comes to talking on their phones, and listening to music, or movies on their phones around a crowd of people, especially indoors. Especially in a restaurant or coffee shop. it is one of the most aggressive, self absorbed and disrespectful aspects of contemporary society. I often remind people of their rudeness.

I consider roosters to be one of the most obnoxious animals on the entire planet, they're screeching sounds like pain and suffering, it is absolutely horrific. I would not live anywhere close to a group of roosters even if I was being paid a significant amount of money. They are a plague.

Thailand aims to become Asian aviation hub, says prime minister
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Nope. Not gonna happen. You have to offer significant helicopter and small plane charters. Especially in a nation that has hopelessly choked highways. Thailand needs to make some sacrifices. Something the lame authorities don't seem to understand. -
Thai PM announces stimulus measures amidst economic crisis
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
1. The tourist numbers are rising, but the average spend for tourists is low, regardless of what these nitwits say, so income is way down from tourism. 2. The continuing effects from the economic destruction caused by the Prayuth Decimation will be felt for years to come, they closed down the economy for way too long, they shut down way too many businesses, they destroyed tens of thousands of business, and put millions of people out of work. And for what? -
Anything, absolutely anything that can be done to limit the power of the army, and the toxic and corrupt senators they appointed, is a good thing for the nation. The dinosaurs must be made extinct. And the youth must be allowed representation or control. Total control, if possible. They are the only ones who can move this nation forward, and stop the heinous and regressive army. The most important part of this equation was only 42 seats for Prawit and 37 for Cha Cha. It was a huge repudiation for the status quo. The people said no, I don't think so, you guys are dinosaurs, we don't want you, we don't like you you need to disappear off the face of the earth. His election was a truly great thing for this nation and shows that the people are both sick of being led by highly ignorant relics, with no interest in progress, and interested in smart, young folks, who are serious, accomplished, capable of change, and interested in insuring that Thailand has a good future. Pita is exactly what this nation needs, at this point in time. This is a man who interrupted his studies at MIT, during an MBA program at Sloan to rescue his father's rice bran oil business, Agrifood, after this fathers death. He was successful, and is paying down the 100 million baht his father borrowed to start the company. This is a serious man. Very unlike the failures before him. He then went back and finished his MBA, at one of the top business schools on the planet. If it hadn't been the shares it would have been something else, they simply wanted him out of the way, he was too clean, too progressive, too forward leaning, too intelligent, and too capable of moving the nation forward away from the morass of corruption and moral rot, so the shares were just an excuse.

Lone Kuwaiti Tourist Fights Off Five Young Teen Robbers in Pattaya
spidermike007 replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Never run into a ladyboy that had any problem being called a ladyboy or katoey, not that I've met that many, but over the years I've run into a few and they don't seem to subscribe to woke nonsense, so why should we subscribe to work nonsense on their behalf? -
Always call them out, never let a single opportunity to go by to not call them out. Thais absolutely hate any sort of public display, argument or dissonance, so when you call them out they are embarrassed to death, and it makes a real impression. Use their obsession with face to make them look like the silly people that they are for ignoring a social convention, and being utterly rude. Call them out every time. Raise your voice. Make a stink. Or allow yourself to get walked on like a dog.
