  1. Why limited it to singers? How about Thai women in general with dark skin? Some of them are exquisite. I once had an idea to open a bar in Thailand called the Chocolate Bar, and to only hire women with dark skin. When the gorgeous women would come in with pale skin we would explain to them that they were automatically disqualified because of their skin color. They were too white, and not interesting enough.
  2. Meanwhile, Phipat Ratchakitprakarn, the Labor Minister, stated that his ministry is ready to adopt Deputy Prime Minister Anutin"s suggestions. I had no idea that Phipat, the man who nearly completely destroyed Thailand's tourism industry with heinous and highly selective shutdowns, was rewarded with a position as labor minister. After his dismal failure. How on earth could this have ever happened?
  3. It likely would not require any increases in taxes but rather a Crackdown on corruption within government and trying to locate the hundreds upon hundreds of billions that are siphoned away each year by various government officials and the ridiculously greedy, foul, toxic Army.
  4. It is a political tool that's been employed for centuries now, and the army/pt administration seems to love to employ it. If people are afraid they tend to be more obedient, if people are obedient the government tends to be able to get away with whatever it wants, without being questioned.
  5. Fleeing from the scene of a crime does not seem to be a crime here. I've seen that over and over again when the perpetrators are caught there doesn't seem to ever be any additional penalty for having left the scene of a crime. It is a very cowardly aspect of the Thai judicial system, no question about that. However I have used that to my advantage on a number of occasions where I've been able to dodge roadblocks by simply not stopping, and just going around them, and I've only once had a policeman jump on his motorbike and follow me, and then there were no consequences.
  6. No. Why? Because this is a man who represents corporate interests. This is the man who represents the elite. This is not a man who represents progress, change, or helping the nation to move forward. This is not a man who represents the people. This not a man who cares about the well-being of the people. Corporations do not want to clean up the air, they're making billions by fouling the air. All the government or provinces would have to do is crack down on sugar companies and the air would improve by 70% overnight, this time of year. One simple move, yet do they do that? Do they enforce any of the existing laws? Absolutely not, they do not care for the people one iota, the common man, us, our neighbors and friends and family, we mean less than zero. Sretta. The do nothing man.
  7. I'm not sure this guy could run a boy scout chapter or a pharmacy, much less a nation. He is suffering from massive delusion.
  8. When I lived on Samui many years ago the big hazard was low hanging signs from stores with very sharp edges. You could easily cut your forehead wide open by walking into one of these, you're looking down at the incredibly uneven sidewalks and it's hard to always have total situational awareness when hazards are all around you, up, down and all around. The authorities need to do a better job of monitoring this kind of thing and public safety needs to be taken seriously. It's not something that's ever been a concern for any of the officials.

  10. Just ask the Army leaders, that's all. His party already jumped in bed with them and he's already compromised everything in the way of faith that the people used to put in him and his family. So why not just compromise it further? Ask the foul, toxic, corrupt army and ye shall get.
  11. What an utterly bizarre story, and what an utterly unappealing concept. Can you just imagine doing that to random women of all ages, shapes, and sizes? Yikes. And the women who say OK, seems normal. Some people just have some strange concepts about life.
  12. Wrong. You would have to add in easy to attain regional helicopter flights, private jet flights and small plane charters throughout Thailand and the region, which Thailand does not have. Is this due to the Air Force being extremely greedy and possessive about the airspace? Is there another explanation for the lack of private flights here?
  13. The last time I got covid I had two days of flu symptoms, two days of cold symptoms and then it was gone. My most recent cold lasted a week and I would have to say it was far more unpleasant.
  14. Nah. My whining about genocide is usually confined to complaints about the Chinese, the Israelis, and the Russians.
  15. Though I cannot fault your articulation, I certainly can fault your multiple presumptions that are based on nothing but prejudice and thin air. I don't know if I shopped in Kmart in the last two decades. Ha, got you there.
  16. And what if the dollars were exchanged into baht, at a private exchange booth, then deposited into the wife's account, or kept in a safe?
  17. Hello! I thought we were engaging in jest! My deepest protestations.
  18. There you go. Done deal. One or two hefty transfers a year, to the wife's account. I assume it has to come from a 3rd party account? Or can it be a foreign husband gifting the sum to the Thai wife?
  19. It is about time to start calling out these perpetrators by name, the fact that they can't be named in the media and on these forums is in and of itself a crime. They need to be shamed non-stop, to no end. Mud on their face, egg on their face, shame is a very powerful tool here.
  20. Good summary. Thanks. What if one were to make one or two annual bank transfers to a Thai wife's bank account? Will that kind of thing be tracked, or raise a red flag of any sort? What if someone travels back and forth to their home country, and carries back 10 or $15,000 each trip? Will it only draw attention if deposited into an account here? And lastly, how would they be able to monitor and account for ATM withdrawals?
  21. There is a very simple solution to this problem. If the authorities were interested about solutions. The burning has to stop. There are alternatives, to this 19th century technique of burning after the sugar cane harvest. Either the government starts to encourage farmers to switch to more environmentally friendly crops, or they start to penalize farmers for burning. This heinous burning, is leading to a tremendous degree of environmental degradation, and alot of lung disease. So here is what I propose- 1. Fine the farmers 5,000 baht for a first offense, and give them a stern warning, that burning is now prohibited, and the second fine will be very harsh. 2. For a second offense, fine the farmer 100,000 baht, levy it against the land, if unpaid, and warn them that if the burning continues, their land will be confiscated. 3. On the 3rd offense, confiscate their land. Period. No questions. No legal proceeding or appeals on the part of the farmers. Allow others to come in and purchase the land at a fair price, with the caveat that sugar is prohibited as a crop to be grown on that land. The news would travel faster than the toxic smoke, and farmers would change their ways overnight, and move into the 21st century. Then they can move on to tackle the sale of diesel vehicles, and the government's enthusiastic support of such. It is inane in this day and age. Most nations are moving away from diesel for good reasons. When they are not well maintained, they foul the air, with large, nasty particles, and huge clouds of noxious black smoke. And how many properly maintain their diesel vehicles here? Stop the burning. Now.
  22. His father sounds like he was a very sensible man. He was very unimpressed with this little worm, who never amounted to anything. Oh I might not be able to get any money, I think I'll just go ahead and destroy my whole family.
  23. Is it possible to blow the whole lot of them off the face of the earth? I suspect even their mothers wouldn't miss them.
  24. At this stage of the game only total nitwits would choose to recriminalize ganja possession and make the purchase of it more difficult, driving thousands of businesses into bankruptcy for what? To support the war on ganga? Such silliness. Who are these goons?
  25. Time to crank up the panic levels and keep the people afraid, keep them very afraid. Personally I'm more worried about catching a cold or a flu than the latest variant of an endemic virus.
