Why? Thai's dont eat sliced chicken sandwiches very much. Plus an easy solution. Buy some chicken breasts as I do. Take them home and season them. But them in the oven for 15-20 minutes at 180. Take them out and slice them. Hopefully you will have mustard or mayonnaise along with some lettuce, tomatoes, perhaps some thinly sliced onions along with the bread of your choice. Make your sandwich up enjoy and save some money.

marin replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Koh Chang is in no way deserted. In fact it is overbuilt. Next time go to Koh Kut same area but no cars. Only song taew trucks and motorbikes. -

Yes Laksi, Changwattana, straight easy shot to immigration. 5 minutes if not too much traffic. -

Why not the Red line? 50 baht in a taxi and less traffic? -
Nobody is accusing you of lying, in fact most have bee n quite nice. In reality if you left the country and returned on June 13, you will have to report in 90 days. The computer system does not know you left and was giving you a 90 day report due time with reference to your last 90 day report. The system did not know you have left. Its all good but you did not have to report until 90 days from June 13 by law.

Severance pay and tax.

I reached 70 and was retired. I had year to year contracts the last 5 years. Nothing to do with a providence fund. I have that through my insurance. -
Air Hostess job : Could it be a scam?
marin replied to 2long's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
This post sums it up and is spot on. Emirates is a greatly desired job due to the high pay, opportunity for long hours, and free housing in Dubai. The salary is also paid in USD. If these boxes were not ticked be wary. -
Severance pay and tax.
marin replied to Crossy's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I just retired and my severance was untaxed to me. I got the full 400 days with no tax at all. I had a housing allowance and that was included as well. -
Not here unless you like Thai food, and most maids anywhere in the world dont cook. They clean, wash and iron that sort of thing. You are in Thailand not Imaginary Land.
-
As said before you are dreaming. You want a chef, they are a lot more than 3600 a month. Best to put this idea aside. Getting a maid for just a few months is not going to be easy unless she works for an agency, and knows she can get work once you are long gone. Do you want a maid/cook or massage girl? We have had the same maid for 24 years, she came when the twins were born, the twins are now living and working in America and she is still with us. Basically has become a family member. 24 when she came and 48 now. Trust and honesty are the key. For simply a maid you can check pricing at maid agencies on Phuket.

Look mate I dont know. I simply reported what I knew as clear as I could. They were looking for attention it seems and got it. But they did not and will not get compensation. They had their medical bills covered. You sure did get excited over this, why not shoot on down and find out for yourself and perhaps eat some seafood? The whole area is set up for Thai's to come and enjoy.

Nah, nice reply from a pro. Update, two groups were at this homestay. One the 30 person group my wife was with. The other who are doing the complaining a 20 person "big bike" group who arrived at noon and started eating and drinking. The lure of these homestays is an unlimited buffet of seafood, namely crabs and prawns. So they drank straight through until dinner. Regency brandy the wife said. Then continued to drink through their seafood dinner until 10pm when "quiet time" occurs. But they continued to party until several of them got quite ill. Not the 20 reported, but a few. Seems as it stands now the resort has now gotten back to the group. Not in the form of compensation either.

To Bangkok with Apathy, Indifference but Certainly no Love.
marin replied to Blue Muton's topic in Bangkok
Did you forget the topic in your angry rant? I assume its something about burning. -
Two sides to this story. My wife was on that tour and we spoke about it last night. Two elderly women who were part of the tour got ill. Only 2. The only two who refused to stop eating the "endless" buffet of seafood. We are talking hours of eating. There were large tables set up and they were the only two that got sick. They were warned by others that for their age they were eating way to much seafood late into the night, they were also among the oldest.

You would add hours to your flight time by going that way rather than across the Pacific. Leaving out the mask bit as that is nonsensical.

In late May I changed from a working B visa I had held for 30 years to a retirement visa. This meant changing my address as my employer had me as living in Prathum Thani when my home was in BKK. This was done with no problems as I simply brought the house yellow book with me. So I now hold a retirement visa valid till the end of May 2023. I tried to do my 90 day report online, it was successfully accepted, but then rejected two days later. Any thoughts on why it was rejected? I will now go on Aug 1 to Changwattana to clear it up, but a big surprise. The only thing I can think is rejected as first reporting on a new visa and address. Love to get some feedback and thanks.

I was prescribed this by a urologist at Bangkok hospital. After two months there was better flow, but I had side effects of a horrible cold, or sinusitis, severe back pain and was heading towards impotence, I stopped then. Started on Saw Palmetto. It has done the trick, Back pain almost gone, cold symptoms much better as well and impotence is gone. The "famed' Urologist never even informed me of any possible side effects.
