  1. Suggestion: You ain't going to get free medical treatment in Thailand.
  2. The US would be more safe if it were these arms to which the founding fathers referred
  3. Three questions were specifically asked by the OP. 1 - how to obtain the proof of tax residency 2 - how to get HMRC and pension providers to accept this and 3 - has anybody actually succeeded
  4. Obviously did not try very hard. You could visit the Dept of Land transport and ask questions. You could check online, there is a wealth of information eg กรมการขนส่งทางบก | Department of Land Transport (dlt.go.th) Do an online search eg "Thai driving license" Strange that a tourist needs a Thai driving license, your home countries driving license with an IDP obtained in your home country against the driving license would be sufficient for a tourist to drive in Thailand. What is an IDP | International Driving Permit
  5. Best to take away all online social media from everyone and restrict the internet to govt and business information and services, news information only and email communication. If people want to communicate their their viewpoint they do it in an email, by phone or letter. Then everyone will calm down.
  6. In edge browser settings privacy You can set the search engine to duckduckgo. 7. "1 - how to obtain the proof of tax residency 2 - how to get HMRC and pension providers to accept this and 3 - has anybody actually succeeded" 1 - Proof of tax residency is done with a tax residence certificate issue by certain RD regional offices in Thailand Certificate of Residence (Individual Taxpayer) | The Revenue Department (English Site) (rd.go.th) It needs to be applied from the RD each tax year with certain documentation and taxes paid on the detailed income for which relief is being applied for. Certificate of Residence Supporting documents required (in case of an individual taxpayer) : 1.A copy of the filed income tax returns e.g. P.N.D. 90, P.N.D. 91. 2.A copy of tax receipt. 3.A copy of taxpayer's tax identification card. 4.A copy of taxpayer's passport (in order to total number of days the taxpayer resides in Thailand. In order to issue the certificate, the taxpayer must resides in Thailand more than 180 days). 5.Other relevant documents, if any. 6.An authorization letter in case of the taxpayer authorizes other person to act on behalf. People tax resident in Thailand (working or receiving taxable income in Thailand) and have to prove their tax residence in Thailand to their home countries tax offices or to financial institutions are doing this.
  8. Check Brooks Thailand for sports shoes, mainly for running. They have a shop in Muang thong thani and are on shopee. They have larger size trainers.
  9. Contact some of the private ct scan companies, they will give you prices and you can compare and decide.
  10. Which vm soft are you using and do you have it installed? ITfoss explains nicely step by step how to install kali in a vm machine on windows or linux 1) https://itsfoss.com/install-kali-linux-vmware/ 2) https://www.kali.org/docs/virtualization/install-vmware-guest-vm/ Dont know of any specific shops in pantip installing linux and probably not kali. You could try pantip and ask around, there are some repair shops on the 3rd floor and maybe one of them could help but they will certainly charge some kind of fee.
  11. "How safe our funds are with Zipmex in case things go other way? How much protection does Thai Laws provide? What are the power and limitations of SEC in this regard?" Why are these questions being asked now? Due diligence before investing is wise. If your crypto is stored on zipmex and they have frozen withdrawals then afraid you will probably have to wait for legal proceedings to evolve or when Zipmex allow withdrawals again, who knows how long that will take, maybe you should be asking Zipmex help center.
  12. He he, keep up the scare mongering, good source of financing for the scientific environmentalists and the whole industry to study, innovate and develop new new technologies depleting earths resources and controlling existing heat while creating more heat.
  13. I would think that BA are responsible for the refund so would only deal with them until the money is refunded properly and lands into your account from BA. They are the ones that took ages to remit refunds and have to consider that cards would be replaced during that time. Don't need to lose 66000 baht, it is a lot of money and the money cant just disappear sitting somewhere against an old credit card number. Explain to BA and give them the real (old and new card numbers etc...,) the account details with polite explanation, get BA to trace and follow it up with their financial institutions.
  14. At least the institition issuing the secured credit is legal and ones deposit is safe earning interest.
  15. Discreet only runs as a live system on cd, dvd or usb. Cannot be installed on pc harddisk. The project seems to be dead, no activity from the dev on github since 2016 and the last distro is still in beta 1. Kali can easily be installed on a usb https://www.kali.org/docs/usb/live-usb-install-with-windows/ All that is needed is a windows pc, the downloaded distro iso, a usb key and an installation soft tool like etcher, rufus or unetbootin or others.
  16. Always the "have nots" have their beady eyes fixed upon and complaining about the wealth and money of others.
  17. Kerry COD, at the post office or any courier company that does this. You pack, deliver to courier and the courier collects the money on your behalf upon delivery and puts it in your nominated bank account minus a % handling fee. Dont know about them handling delivering big items though.
  18. So it is now labelled as a ''tourism fee''
  19. Shocking how many countries the US has invaded over the years https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/how-many-countries-has-the-us-invaded Every time a US leader sprouts off to the world "Rules Based order" or "the US leaders of the free world" one becomes rankled by their arrogance.
  20. For me 1 year unlimited sim True 15Mbps and TOT Thundersim max speed work.
  21. When investing in collective funds abroad, they seem to most times increase in value to benefit an investor (except in time of crisis but after that they recover) Have been monitoring Thai investment funds for about 6 years now and there appears to be little increase in return on an investment. What could be the reason for people to invest in these products if there would be no or little benefit to the investor over long periods of time?
  22. Ok thanks for the replies, I will keep watching and see if any immigration appointments become available around the time I would like submit the extension application in August.
  23. My current extension of stay is expiring in the 3rd week of of Sept 2022. Tried online booking an appointment date but it seems there are no slots available after the 5th August 2022. The calendar is only available up to the end of August 2022. This means one has to go there and take a queue and wait until the number is called. Dread the thought when it becomes compulsory to make appointments (like it is for many embassy functions now) and there will be no slots available for months in advance, what then? have to leave the country and get a new visa?
  24. How's the government controlled capitalist businesses and free market working for everyone?
