Any experience with Amlodipine blood pressure medication
gargamon replied to steveb5's topic in Health and Medicine
Taking blood pressure meds should be managed by a physician as sometimes you need more than one med to reach the desired levels. Some of these BP meds are not to be taken with other BP meds, so better to leave it to a physician to manage. -

My ad blocker (adaway) uses host files to block ads. It works very well but Thai ads keep showing up as their source URLs are not in the standard lists. Anyone have a link to one that includes Thai sites?

Bali plans tourist motorbike ban over misbehaviour
gargamon replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yes, just give your money to the taxi mafia. Get in line for the daily tour bus. Eat where they take you because they get kickbacks. Buy souvenirs where they take you... Frankly, if they implement this Bali is off my list of travel destinations. -

Cocaine Bear has dropped. Hint: If you're looking for a boring crime docudrama, this isn't it. -
Almost nowhere on Earth is safe in terms of air quality: study https://www.ctvnews.ca/climate-and-environment/almost-nowhere-on-earth-is-safe-in-terms-of-air-quality-study-1.6310186 When it comes to air quality, almost nobody on Earth is safe, according to a new study. We are constantly breathing in fine particulate matter detrimental to our health in nearly every place across the planet, researchers found, with only 0.001 per cent of the global population being exposed to levels of particulate matter considered safe by the World Health Organization (WHO). Researchers found that the daily levels of fine particular matter had been decreasing in Europe and North America in the two decades leading up 2019. However, in the same time period, levels increased in Southern Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Most men with prostate cancer can avoid or delay harsh treatments, long-term study confirms. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/03/11/health/prostate-cancer-surveillance-survival/index.html CNN — Most men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer can delay or avoid harsh treatments without harming their chances of survival, according to new results from a long-running study in the United Kingdom. Men in the study who partnered with their doctors to keep a close eye on their low- to intermediate-risk prostate tumors – a strategy called surveillance or active monitoring – slashed their risk of the life-altering complications such as incontinence and erectile dysfunction that can follow aggressive treatment for the disease, but they were no more likely to die of their cancers than men who had surgery to remove their prostate or who were treated with hormone blockers and radiation. “The good news is that if you’re diagnosed with prostate cancer, don’t panic, and take your time to make a decision” about how to proceed, said lead study author Dr. Freddie Hamdy, professor of surgery and urology at the University of Oxford.

It's a little late for you but maybe someone else would benefit. You should have visited the veterinarian for a vasectomy before coming (pun intended) to Thailand. No unplanned pregnancies in that case, and only a few thousand Euros to get artificial insemination done if decided by all parties involved.

Beware. Certain things can get into your nasal passages that can cause extreme damage. If tap water can do this what do you think poorly treated pool water can do? Person in Florida dies after brain-eating amoeba infection, possibly due to sinus rinse with tap water. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/03/02/health/brain-eating-amoeba-florida-wellness/index.html CNN — A person in Charlotte County, Florida, has died after being infected with the rare brain-eating amoeba Naegleria fowleri. The infection possibly resulted from “sinus rinse practices utilizing tap water,” according to a news release from the Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County. The release was issued in February to alert the public about the infection. Infection with Naegleria fowleri “can only happen when water contaminated with amoebae enters the body through the nose,” according to the department’s news release.

I do like to view the Fox Fiction Network regularly. Always entertaining to consider that so many believe the nonsense uttered there. -
I have an omron that I keep in Canada. I travel with a Cigii unit that cost about 500bt that is much smaller. The numbers they give are equivalent. If I had to buy one now it would not be an omron at 5 or 6 times the cost. The cigii unit also has additional features the omron doesn't like abnormal heart rhythm detection.

It's got to do with how you grew up. If you were around a lot of people in your formative years(2-8) you will want to be around many when older. If not, then you won't mind being alone. This also explains why Thais (and Filipinos and Khmer) need to be around others, as most of them had a lot of people around in that period.

I am about to be an ex customer of Bangkok Bank. I have removed all the money from the other accounts and only the 800K(for retirement visa) term deposit which matures in a few weeks is left. I last got my NR-O extended for a year in mid January. So the question is, when can I move the 800K? Obviously I will wait for the term deposit to mature. What are the immigration requirements for the funds to remain there? Also is there an electronic way to transfer the money to Kasikorn? I really don't want to carry 800k in cash. Thanks

Lately I've been reading them on my TV. Fbreader loaded onto my android TV box. Much easier than holding a tablet. One button on the remote to turn the page. Can sync what you're reading too so pick up a tablet or phone and it knows where you stopped reading on the TV.
