Yes that would be nice, but with a really wet and rotten Kipper.

43 years ago I assisted building a boathouse for the local sea scouts. The gate to the compound was 4 meters from the waters edge. That same gate is now 7 meters back from the waters edge and they have had to build a jetty out into the river to launch boats. This is on a tidal area of the river and no changes to the course of the river have been made either up or down stream, over the past 65 years.
Perhaps someone would like to explain rising water levers.

Wouldn't need a taxi or Grab as I have a chauffeur. My watering hole is within walking distance so again, no grab or taxi.

Now he knows what its like to be a DIRTY foreigner. You couldn't make it up, under normal circumstances, but Anutin did. L.O.L.

Obviously some one with a mouth and no brain. They are obviously trying to scare people. When the Thai government see this nonsense they would do everyone a favour by disowning it, or is it perhaps, to encourage the government to make it more difficult for foreigners to stay?
There is far to much of this kind of claptrap posted on Asean Now and should be ignored.

That should do the job very well. I have three at our place, one for computer, one for internet and one for my music keyboards. Allows plenty of time to save and/or turn off. Will give about 45 to 60 minutes run time depending on the power being drawn.

To the OP.
As it is obviously not your problem, why are you bothering? Surely it is up to each individual to make their own arrangement, whatever they are

This story should be released to the world press so everyone can see the low regard this Government has towards its population! Absolutely disgraceful that brown envelopes should be involved yet again whilst Thailand still suffers with Covid.
It has already been done. How it will be received I know not, or acted upon I know not.

It's based on salary and not voluntary. Maximum employee contribution is 750 baht / month. I think the minimum is less than 100 baht.
Let me add from personal experience, our housekeeper requested this. We pay B900 between us to the Thai SSO each month via a bank transfer from the business A/C. Not sure of the full details as it is not me personally paying this.

how much national insurance do they pay?
In which country? For Thai it is a voluntary thing as far as I know. The employee and employer pay 50/50 @B900 total.

Yeah, doesn't make sense. The super spreader events are when you have to visit immigration and be jammed in line with a few hundred others. Insane.
Do please try to remember where you are. If everything ran with sense and forethought, you may think to leave??

One thing which would definitely put people off from retiring to Thailand, Not able to own your own house. Yes, Yes, I know there are ways, but look at all the hoops one has to jump through and the added cost involved.
If one could purchase one rai of land and build, knowing it could be passed on to children/grandchildren, it may be worth it, but finding something to rent at a reasonable price in a nice area...?????

As a matter of interest, if you are receiving a UK State Pension into which presumably you contributed, does your wife continue to receive any of that after you die,
Or are they just as hardline as the Australian
Government, if such a thing is possible.
Sorry to say, but yes the UK gov are just as hard line.

This is shocking. The manner in which the article is presented is that this is (now) commonplace.
Where is the government??!?
I'm feeling very potentially raped. We all know if this occurs you'd get zero help from the bank as well and blame it in you. It's probably insiders not phishers or *hackers*.
Another reason to leave. This is serious sh*+!
Disagree with you as far as help from banks. A little while ago I had money taken from my KrungThai A/C by some one in the UK. Reported it to the bank HQ and the money was returned two weeks later. A bank branch is not the place to make a complaint in Thailand.

a 240v mains socket in the shower
and years ago (pre 1950) houses were wired differently - lighting circuits were heavy guage and in some cases the only electric source in a room - wall sockets were round pin if they were there at all and wiring ran on the outside of walls, I remember my grandmothers house - and street lights were gas lol
Irons were not electric
The round pin you refer to were 15 amp, and yes, the street lights were gas. As to the electric iron, ours was at about 1954. The fuse box was a wire between to points held by a screw. If the fuse kept blowing it was a case of two or three wires, so the house wiring must have got very hot.
What do you mean, dangerous?

That’s ok, I remember someone telling me that years ago in the UK that some people had an adaptor plugged into the light socket to allow the to use of an electric iron etc.
Also saw a documentary about when electricity was first introduced in the UK in homes the power cables were not insulated.
Now that would be fun.
Perfectly true. You're obviously not old enough to remember, but I can. I used to climb up onto the table to reach the light socket, because mother couldn't.

I don't need Dee money. A couple of months ago I sent money to the UK via KrungThai and paid 99 Baht for the privilege. Peanuts.

I believe you should post a notice clearly stating, video and sound recording is taking place. It is then up to those attending, to either agree or not.
There is the means on most phones to record the conversation, but it is only right that you inform the other person, 'This conversation is being recorded'.
If you are then cut off, did they have something to hide?
Thai PM’s odd suggestions cause quite a stir
