Politics Protesters Rally Against Thai PM Amid Controversial Call Leak
Enoon replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It would be misguided to think, for one moment, that the people demonstrating (The Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand) have the slightest desire whatsoever to see PP running the country. -

Politics Thai Military Tops Government in Trust Over Cambodia Dispute: Survey
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
While some coups have been vociferously supported by a minority of the population and the state subservient Thai media, very few, if any, have been widely supported. The lack of opposition to the coups, due to fear of terrifying retribution by the military and the clique that favours it, also does not constitute wide support for them. -

You can't do anything. Nobody contributing to AN can do anything. Nobody who could do anything is in the least bit interested in the opinions of anyone who contributes to AN. -

Yours is the troll you ridiculous know nothing: "According to the 2021 Census, 33.8% of English and Welsh residents aged 16 or above have a university degree (including certificates, diplomas, undergraduate and all postgraduate degrees). This is equal to about 16.4 million people in England and Wales with a university degree in 2021" https://www.findamasters.com/blog/11522/how-common-is-a-masters-degree- 383 replies

The aircraft that have been destroyed are capable of delivering conventional or nuclear weapons.....they have been launching long range conventional weapons against Ukraine. They are not part of a specifically nuclear offensive/defensive system. You are just regurgitating alarmist/threatening Russian propaganda.......silly man.

Why do so many posters continually diss other posters?
Enoon replied to BritManToo's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Social media, which is where you are as you read this, is an equaliser..........the physically strong and aggressive have no advantage. It's a wonderful place for people to call out the sort of people they disapprove of/dislike without getting punched in the face. That's what it was made for. 🙂 -

Crime Bulgarian National Arrested for Planting Malware in ATMs
Enoon replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
The malware doesn't disable machines. On the contrary.....they chuck out cash to order when an accomplice turns up to collect it. "Everything you need to know about ATM jackpotting attacks..........The term jackpotting was inspired by a hacker called Jack Barnaby, who demonstrated a jackpotting act at the Black Hat Security Conference in 2010. After he conducted a successful hack, the word Jackpot appeared on the ATM’s screen while it was spewing piles of cash........To avoid suspicion, hackers dress up like ATM technicians. After gaining access to the ATM’s internal computer, the attacker inserts a malware-ridden USB device and, with the help of the ATM’s keyboard, activates the ATM malware." https://nordvpn.com/blog/atm-jackpotting/- 34 replies

If you arrive at "Swampy" expecting to obtain a Tourist Visa you have made a big mistake. Your post makes no sense given that one can only obtain a Tourist Visa in another country, before one enters Thailand. Other individuals on this thread talking about obtaining an e-visa while inside Thailand or talking about VOA please take note. There are a whole bunch of posts barking up the wrong tree. The financial requirements for a Tourist Visa this year will be exactly the same as they were when I last got one in UK (Sept 2023) and Laos (Jan 2024). It was the equivalent of 20,000 baht in the bank for 3 months then......it will be the same now. Any tourist arriving is also required, according to the rules, to have the equivalent of 20k baht in cash on them.......that requirement never went away. Oct '24 and Jan '25 were VEs for me and a bonus, but now it looks like it's back to business as usual.......well lah dee dah. 😆

Frank Whittle and Fritz von Ohain.......progenitors of the turbojet: "At first upset because he believed von Ohain had only developed his engine after seeing Whittle's patent, he eventually became convinced that von Ohain's development really was his own. The two became good friends, and often toured the US giving talks together. In 1991 von Ohain and Whittle were awarded the Charles Stark Draper Prize for their work on turbojet engines." https://www.solarnavigator.net/inventors/frank_whittle.htm

They are not "Size 26", they are XL. It doesn't say that they are 31-33ins in circumference. It says that they will fit a waist that is 31-33ins.......obviously because they stretch to accomodate that range. They are elasticated......they stretch. They stretch and grip. They would have to be less than 31ins in order to do an efficient job of gripping on a 31inch waist. How much less than 31ins do you think they should be in order to grip effectively on a 31inch waist? Are we there yet? 🙂

Crime Ukrainian Arrested at Phuket Airport Over Condominium Vandalism
Enoon replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
Do you suppose the Russian cleared off without getting their 32,000 back from somebody? If the Thai owner was not still holding 32,000 why would she be going through the motions of processing its return.....as she stated she was: "The property owner emphasised that she had been following proper procedures, as stipulated in the lease agreement. These included a 14-day window to process the deposit return, deductions for unpaid utility bills..........", It sounds like Miss Anastasia might well have paid 32,000 to the Russian on the Russians assurance that she would get it back from the Thai owner. Far be it from me to suggest that the Thai owner may have been using this technicality: "the requirement that refunds be made only to the person listed on the contract." not to pay the out of pocket Miss Anastasia. -
