I'm SOON Moving to Japan Countryside to Find My GENIUS-GF!

It certainly sounds like an interesting idea. Watch out for the bears: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-66737051 Plenty of cheap accommodation available in rural areas: https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20191023-what-will-japan-do-with-all-of-its-empty-ghost-homes This issue more acute in rural areas (I'm thinking about "partnership" prospects): https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-66850943 -
British man recounts shocking encounter with racist Russians in Phuket
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Headlines (and many contributors to AN) should stop claiming "racism" every time a nationality/ethnic group start having a pop at another nationality/ethnic group. Russains are not a race, British are not a race. Race, Ethnicity, Nationality........three different things. How many ******* times must people be told! -

Don't kid yourself. This is no more than internecine warfare between equally culpable thugs in a rotten system.

Who gives a **** if you or anyone else "ignores" anyone? You sound a like a child with your "I'm not going to listen to you" ****. That's the thing with ageing.........a gradual, in some cases not so gradual, regression to infantilism. I love the internet.......calling out sad old ***** like you for what you are.....and then walking away. Byeeeee!

I was a P/T employee of a hardware/DIY store for many years. I have met plenty of people who didn't have a clue about such things.........before I ever got close to Thailand. How about you get on with some jobs around your house, instead of adding yet more to the stinking pile of resentment/contempt towards Thai people that forms such a sadly large feature of the "content" on these pages?

Phuket tops list as World’s Most Overcrowded tourist destination
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
If you check the original source you will see Hurghada correctly located in Egypt: https://moneytransfers.com/news/2023/09/06/the-most-and-least-over-touristed-destinations-around-the-world -
Rather difficult to make any assumptions based on the "quality" of this article, ie: "recently stipulated that an individual spending up to 180 days a year in the country and earning income from overseas will be liable for personal income tax" 10 days vacation in Thailand and you're liable to pay income tax? I suspect the issue is more about Thai people that anyone else.

Then you had better find out what social media she is on and register your grievance with her there. Because there is **** all chance of her seeing it here. Here you're just another sad old man shouting at the wind.

THAI E-VISA SETV UK passport holder/resident
Enoon replied to damole's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The "context of the wording" is a fundamental part of any website.......it is a ******* mess! Par for the course for anything designed and built by/on behalf of the Thai state........and you know it! -
THAI E-VISA SETV UK passport holder/resident
Enoon replied to damole's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
But it is not a requirement for an SETV to Thailand. It is a requirement for someone applying for a non-immigrant visa on the basis of visiting friends and family. However it is included in the SETV application stream, without explanation, causing much confusion (as do other aspects of the application) purely because it is a extremely badly designed and explained website/process.........that is what "people do not like" -
DEPA and partners unlock future of gaming, animation, characters
Enoon replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It's worldwide........not merely dependent on number of Thais gaming. During COVID tourism went down and gaming went up, massively. Decline now with tourism increasing.......but still much greater demand than pre-COVID. The contraction is from an "inflated" boom. -
Newly Promoted Manager's Life Tragically Cut Short as Car Plunges into Canal
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
No, driving skills are good in the Netherlands........and these sort of accidents occur every hour, every day of the year there........it's so common that they don't bother to put it into the news Venice is even worse..........sometimes as many as 10 vehicles an hour career into its canals. But then Venice is south of the Alps.......so the higher rate not really surprising. ???? -

The same requirement appears on the UK SETV application. I think it may be catch-all question that applies to several different visa categories. I have just got my SETV......I answered that is was "Not Required for SETV". Applied Friday, received approval following Tuesday. I suspect that the "Employer" bit is the only thing an METV applicant might be concerned about. In the days of paper applications I did a couple of METVs......including a letter from my employer (headed notepaper confirming validity) that stated that I would be returning back to work in about 6 months time. I guess they just wanted to know that I had a reason/requirement to get out of their country rather than stay there off-grid for 6 years! It is possible that none of #5 refer to an METV? ie: Employer = Employer in Thailand if applying for Work Visa. School = Thai Education Institute if applying for Ed Visa. Self-Assessment = **** knows. Pension Statement = If applying for Retirement Visa. The boxes in the E-Visa instruction manual don't match the boxes in the application. The latest requirements (July '23) on the embassy website don't match the application. Apply in good time to allow a 2nd or 3rd attempt if is screws up........that is probably the best attitude to take now that they have ****** up a system which used to be pretty much problem free.

I've worked with one of them. The individual concerned was, to say the least, somewhat "troubled". No laughing matter for my employer. -
Elderly couple in Udon Thani conned out of 100,000 baht by fake coconut buyers
Enoon replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
I expect that, sooner or later, some "travellers" will turn up and tell them that their roof needs fixing. That is a common con, in the UK, perpetrated upon elderly, vulnerable people, very few of whom, if any, will have sent their daughters away.........they, and their brothers, just cleared off when they felt like it. -

Get a non-fake ticket. Air Asia £33 BKK-Siem Riep last time I checked. Surely anything less than £100 is worth it if it opens the door to a 6 month stay..............less than 56p a day?
