  1. Don't these protesters have jobs?

Funny I was thinking the same...

    anything not to work!...

and when all of this is all over..no matter who prevails....these people will go back to their ho hum lives and realize that nothing, absolutely nothing has or will change in their own little worlds

They could be the farmers that turned their rice into the government mills three or four months ago and still have not been paid.

  2. It appears that some of the people making input to the media, do not see the problem. The process problem lies in the lask of concern of the tour operators, the tourist industry and the government. some people and politicians look at tourist as being the fated lam to be lead to slaughter. There is no concern for the tourist, only the money, there is little respect for others, the only thought is how much can we get.

I am an American Thai, I have passed all the government test. It is interesting to go into the tourist area and listen to what people say. The first question is where are you from. Which hotel do you stay, with this information they can determine your ability to spend, and can calculate how much they can get.

This is the same in every where, whether it is New York, or Sydney. Take the tourist for all you can get. Until there is an actual crackdown on corruption in the tourist trade nothing will happen. It has been going on for 47 years that I know. That is when I first came. It will take a joint effort of all the Embassies to get a change. The American Embassy could start by putting Phuket and Pattaya as off limits to all military. Have them go to the Philippines for R&R, not Thailand. wai2.gifcowboy.gif

  3. Nattawut: New round of fight begins

BANGKOK: -- Following the ruling against senatorial charter amendment bill, red-shirt leader Nattawut Saikaur declared that a new round of fight has begun.

Speaking at the red-shirt rally at the Rajamangala Stadium, Nattawut declared: "The bell of a new round of fight between the democratic force and extra-constitutional force have begun!"

  4. This is November, but it could turn out be as bad as Bloody October 1976, when citizens and students rose up against the government. We still do not know how many student from Thamasat University were murdered, or what happened to the bodies. When a government will do anything to remain in control, innocent people die. The PT party storm troopers are will defend the Dynasty. In Germany they wore brown shirts, they do here also, and have shirt of red also.

  5. If Thailand is ever going to move forward politically, it is time for old school types like Chalerm, Silpa Archa, Sondhi, entire Shinawatra clan, Abhisit AND first of all Suthep to leave the scene completely.

My solution; grant a blanket amnesty to all, with the specific condition that all who benefit from it can't ever be in politics again. Just take all your ill-gotten gains and leave!

Since when is Abhisit an "old school type"?

    His neck tie. clap2.gif

  6. The scams that are going on now have been going on for over 50 years. The only difference now is that they have gone high tech. Like than most of these scams are operated by organized crime families, which make donations to the local police. How much money does each entertainment establishment pay a month, and how many high end night clubs have politicians and police on the management board? There is not difference difference New York and Chicago are the same. We can not count California because there corruption make Thailand looks like children playing. cowboy.gif

  7. I think the Thai Police have done a very good job of show of force to protect the Shin Dynasty. We and the international media have been told by Pol. Capt Chalerm, that it was the police that were the Black Shirts in 2010. The police must have been some where, because they did little or nothing to support Thailand. to stop the burning of Bangkok. ph34r.pngph34r.png

  8. Tobacco Factory land could be turned into a park as was the plan.

Yes it was planned, but the new mew members of the Board of Directors did not get any money. Thailand is one of the largest supporters of lung cancer elimination, but the government is the largest manufacturer of tobacco products in Thailand. Is it two faced or two tonged, line the river monitor lizard. coffee1.gif
