They call in Dr. Porntip, after the crime seen has been destroyed and all evidence has been tampered with. EyesWideOpen commented the police do like the good forensic scientist, could this be because she criticized the police capabilities during the tsunami. Talking about the tsunami what ever happened to the millions of dollars that came up missing, which was being managed by the police?

Looking into the dictionary is see that FAT is defined as plump or fleshier, Do this also define the Football association of Thailand?

Is this the same kind of transparency as they promised, cross my heart and wish to die if I lie, about the Rice Scheme?
They yap a lot about "transparency", their actions tell a very different reality.
Could the Thai Government is becoming as transparent a the Obama administration? Transparent, IRS, GSA, NSA, DOJ State Department, and FBI , It is just that the glass has been darkened to protect from the light of day

Are the red shirts the same as the Nazi brown shirts?

This would be a case for CSI Bangkok if such a thing existed here.
Unfortunately all we have is Chalerm and it appears the outcome may rest with him.
Chalerm is the Gethro Leroy Gibbs of Thailand. He is better than NCIS.

How come a lowly Sergeant (doesn't say Police or Army) afford to own a fancy sports car, even if it is said to be second hand. OK he may have private means, but it does seem a bit 'iffy'.
The Sergeant is a sports hero.

Ratcatcher, The farmers are not poor. They sold their rice to the government and now they can afford the Italian Bull. This is an example of the government taking care of the farmers.

Thai National Security Council chief Paradorn Pattanatabut, Bangkok's lead negotiator, told reporters in Thailand Friday that it would be a "test for them (the BRN) during Ramadan whether they can control the violence".
The BRN has no control of the violence. The violence is controlled by s,all cells operating independently. Each cell has a leader, but the member of the cell do not know who the leader reports to. This is the tactic used by all insurgent groups, including the Taliban.

Greed's ugly head.
A nation loses the place which it once held in the world’s history when money becomes more precious to the souls of its people than honesty and labor. A universal wide-spread greed of gain is the forewarning of some upheaval and disaster. Civilizations have been born and completed, and then forgotten again and again. There is nothing new under the sun. What is, has been. All that we learn and discover has existed before; our inventions and discoverers are but re-inventions and rediscoveries. Colonel James Churchward

Lucky lady, let's hope she makes a complete recovery and I hope the police catch the little prick that threw the brick.
Not to worry, the police under the supervision of DPM Chalerm will catch all wrongdoers.

I presume where the article says an area roughly 4 square miles, it should be roughly 4 square meters?
I presume that it is also all a little pie in the sky as the land around there is owned by either the the Crown or by Chula, and as far as I am aware it is not being sold, only leased out.
Could it be that some greedy property developer wants the land. I could have been mistanken to thing that there were property developers that were not greedy. Is this also the area that was burned down during the riots in 2010?

After the court's announcement yesterday, WFMC chairman Plodprasop Suraswadi, who is also a deputy prime minister, said any module that did not get an approval for its environmental impact assessment (EIA) would be scrapped
Has the proposed monkey cheek areas been presented to the people that will be flooded. That might hot be needed, because we have chairman Plodprasop in charge, we all know he on cares about the citizens.

Over 50 years ago Malaysia had the same problem, called the Malay Rebellion. They solved the problem, and it was not through negotiation. They had a unit trained by the SAS and the SBS, it was called VAT 69. There way of solving the problem worked, but the left wing liberals would be screaming.

The government knows what it is doing. There is no reason to talk to the public, because they would not understand, they elected the government to make the decisions for them.

I have two sons, Thai American. Their English is very good, but I only speak to them in English. They both go to Thai schools, not international schools. One son is in regular class and the other is in HM the Kings class at the same school. The quality of teaching is different. in the Kings class the English teacher is from the USA. In the regular class they are Philippine or Indian.
When I came here in 1966, I was in the US Army and worked with Thais. Some of them were very fluent in English, but they were trained by the Army.
The problem with the English language usage in Thailand is oral communication and comprehension. The majority listen to the English and than translate it to Thai in their head. Professor Brown at AUA taught the total immersion program, learn by listening.

There you are. Sooner or later they will get you. The best policy in life is to be straight. There are laws so dont break them. Doing time in prison is not much fun.
I thought that you had to pay bribes to government officials to get PR here.
Anyway, I wonder if the US has some serious federal law about their citizens using another's passport to cross their borders (regardless of skipping bail).
He's going to be living in a place very. very different to the coast of Thailand for a long long time me think.
Where does it say he had a PR? I have had a PR for 16 years and did not pay any bribes. I followed all the requirements and followed the instructions. No problem.

Yet another example of this Government's disregard for Thailand, and confirmation of its slide towards dictatorship.
If you don't support us we won't help you.
Government of the people for the people? Doesn't a democratic government act for the country, irrespective of their voting priorities.
I shake my head in disbelief at yet another juvenile attitude, perpetrated by Khun T himself
I remember when Mr. T told teachers in Khon Kaen there would be more money to fund education reforms but not in areas that hadn't voted for him and so this arrogance goes on. PTP is certainly living in their own " do what we want, say what we want " world and it makes you think something's got to give and it won't be pleasant.
If you do not vote for me or support me, I will have BIB, DSI and the Revenue Department come see you. In USA it is the IRS.

Yingluck and Boonsong between them do not even understand Economics 101 that in any project you have a budget and a forecast before you get any money allocated. The budget was the costings of what you were going to do, and the forecast allows you to update as you move through the project to show gains or losses. That these clowns do not even have any idea of what they are projecting to lose at any scenario is incompetence at its best. And these thevies are going to steal Baht 2 trillion to spend in the same incompetent way?
Moody's should kick there ass's on the world stage harder than it is getting kicked now.
That these clowns do not even have any idea of what they are projecting to lose at any scenario is incompetence.
You are asking the wrong question, what should be asked is how much went into the pockets of which politician or PT supporter. That they know, if the money went to one of these, it is not a loss.

One of the high-profile cases was the murder of Maj Gen Kattiya Sawasdipol, or Seh Daeng, a former specialist of the Royal Thai Army who was killed on May 13, 2010.
I do not understand, Deputy Prime Minister has already told the international press that Seh Daeng was killed by the Police. He has also told the world that the Men in Black were police. So what is taking so long for the police to determine that the killer was police. Oh! that was a dumb question. It would be like sending a fox to do the investigation the killing at the hen house.

New govt spin team to deal with public directly
Deputy Agriculture Minister Natthawut Saikua, second left, and Commerce Minister Boonsong Teriyapirom, third left, hold a press conference to clarify doubts of corruption in the government. Yes we are corrupt but that's ok because the majority of Thais don't mind corruption and its ok to lie because people don't like bad news.
The government of Thailand is not corrupt. Just because 50% of the value for all government projects winds up in the pockets of politicians is not corrupt. It is just the way things work.
