  1. Yes, I noticed that. Someone's got their decimal points and commas mixed up.
  2. It contains ZERO sugar. I believe San Mig Free is the alcohol free one. 60 Calories a bottle. I find San Mig quite tasteless. Removing the sugar and lowering the carbs is likely going to make it even more tasteless. If you can't find what you are looking for but still crave a tasteless and cold fizzy drink, try a soda water. ????????????
  3. Not sure why you don't want to leave your items at a Tempke so not sure if my idea will fit. I have never seen a charity outlet. Charities exist but I believe they are mainly affiliated to international organisations, such as UNICEF. I was going to suggest, seeing as you appear to be in a rather remote area, going to a local school. Out in the sticks there are many small schools serving one or two villages. The kids there would be grateful.
  4. "Everybody" is an exaggeration. " They" meaning those in Thailand, is an exaggeration. "Believe everything" is an exaggeration.
  5. Travelling from Korat, it might be better to head along the 24 into Prakhonchai. There are a few hotels there although it is a sleepy town. However, you should find someone or somehow to get to Phanom Rung.
  6. That is funny. You've gone round so many corners to twist what I said you've disappeared up your own backside. Sad if not so funny.
  7. A terrible crime. An awful person. I hope the prisoners he shares a wing with will show their displeasure everytime the get the opportunity. However, he is not the only one who should be imprisoned. The article says he paid for his desires. If he paid, there are those accepting the payments that need to be charged too.
  8. Not at all. Firstly, you commented that EU citizens don't come to work in UK anymore as everything has changed with regards to paper work and visas. Then, you ask: "What is the difference between the situation pre- and post-Brexit?" , with regards to tax payments. (after I'd already explained) You are going round in circles.
  9. It's a case of " use it or lose it". So many people now banking online. The days of the "Big 4" banks is over too. So many different option online.
  10. I doubt Schumacher won anything. He's in a coma. As far as honest employers, I agree. What do you think about dishonest employers? I guess you are right. Nationality of employees us irrelevant. That is until non UK nationals need a new visa.
  11. Thanks. Just saying it as I see it. A simple comparison. I've never said they were less scrutinized. When EU citizens were here pre Brexit, there was no need to show proof of tax payments. T o stay after Brexit they gad to. That's all.
  12. So, because it's not easy, they don't want to do it. Ahhhhhh didums. Imagine how many expats would be leaving Thailand if they felt the same. As for preventing cash in hand payments, people tend not to shout about them from the rooftops.
  13. Exactly. A bit more scrutiny and tax an NI payments required when working. It works for many Non EU citizens. Why does it put EU citizens off?
  14. I work with many people who have settlement. They can chop and change all they want. They are very happy here and don't understand why anyone would have left if was not for inability to provide tax payment records. Now also working with many new immigrants on their visit year here. Also very happy to be here.
  15. Whataboutary, as one might say. I'll explain once again. I posted a reply to a post you made. You suggested I refer it, your post, to the government. I doubt they'd be interested. They'd probably place you on their ignore list.
  16. You made a post on a forum for expats in Thailand and you want me to take it up with the government? I know you think you have some clout but that takes tge biscuit.
  17. It was quite easy for those that were here prior to Brexit to stay. Just needed to apply for settlement. Of vourse there were requirements such as having paid tax and NI of salaries received. That's why may left. Every EU worker that I've met, that stayed, have told me how easy it was to stay so long as they were legit. It's not that difficult to come now but there are rules some don't wish to adhere too. Never mind.
  18. That comment is straight out of the book of Captain Hindsight Starmer. Let's critisise without offering up an alternative or how we're going to pay for it. Talk about whataboutary. You are the class captain.????????????
  19. Speed 3 closed and was demolished sometime ago. I'm guessing 2020/21.
  20. Out of date. Speed 3 is no longer.
  21. Thanks for the laugh. Generally speaking, remote in the middle of nowhere places don't appear on the rail network, on major bus routes or an easy drive from a domestic airport. Neither would they boast two immigration offices. Surin might be quieter than what you are used to, most likely as a large place like Khon Kaen is what you describe as "boring", but it most certainly is not remote.
