It would be really unhygienic to suck up pond water lol Simply sink a length of hose or tube into the water....submerge it so there is no air left in the tube, then put your thumb or a bung on one end and keep the other end in the water. Lower the end below the water level outside you pond and then take you thumb off that end. The water will then syphon out.

Why are you emptying it weekly?! That must be a huge waste of water. You should have a filter for a fancy koi / goldfish pond then the pond never needs emptying. If its for food fish they are hardy and don't need a filter if the pond is big and natural (mud bottom). I've never heard of anyone emptying a pond ever week. A pond gets a natural balance of bacteria that live in the silt and on aquatic plants, rocks etc. Cleaning it will destroy this balance.

So basically the UK government is is admitting they can't control immigration, and they want another country to do it for them. When we were in EU the same government said it was the EUs fault for all the immigrants and they told UK was not allowed to stop them. When we left the EU the government assured is that was good as now they could close off the borders and stop immigrants. But they have failed to do this...big style...as there are more now then ever lol. So now they make up excuses again blaming the EU lol. Those soft eggs that you get on the side of the Khaw Kaa Moo (slow cooked pork leg with rice). They are a bit translucent and a bit like soft jelly texture...with the yolk thick. I am going back to the UK soon and want to make them for myself.

I don't understand the problem. If there is a backlog of asylum seekers applications surely it's cheaper to just employ more staff to process the forms? It's got to be more expensice getting this huge ship and staffing and running it than employing some more office staff.. Also, if they have this backlog, then what have they done to fix it? Once the ship is full they will have a backlog PLUS the extra backlog of the people on the boat. Apparently it's costing more to house the people on the ship than housing them in the hotels. The government also paid for 2 more massive cruse ships to house hundreds more asylum seekers...but did not check about docking the ships so had to send the ships back. How stupid is that? They also won't tell us how much money they paid for them or if they are even getting a refund. It's so dumn. These people can't organise anything, some school kids could do a better job for their class project. The UK government is making the UK a joke. It's embarrassing ???? We have one condo in Phuket as part of a hotel. They basically conned us. We paid for it all including the furniture. They started payments fine, but after a few months they stopped. They said they could not afford to pay us becasue of covid, then floods, then low season, then staff off sick.. Etc etc.. After long battle with getting the ownership in our name (which never happened) despite the fact we have all the records of contracts and our payments to them...they finally agreed to buy it back from us to stop us taking them to court.. After a few very erratic payments and many missed ones each month payments last year all payments stopped. They do not reply to email, calls, anything. Yet their hotel is full and doing well...and they are using our room to rent to holidaymakers. We don't have enough money for the lawyer and are worried if we can actually trust a Thai lawyer. It's been so stressful over 3 years. Now we seriously considering waking away from it.

Where as folk like you are happy for the government to take UK taxpayers money to spend on themselves. Your kidding yourself if you thibk that the government cares about the general population in the slightest. If the government stopped all immigration do you think they would then spend the saved money on the NHS and housing homeless people....or increasing peoples benefits? These immigrants are not taking money away from the British population...the government is doing that. Who were the ones to sell off the council houses and not build any new ones? Who were the ones that have caused a huge increase in homelessness with 'care in the community', who are the ones that have cut or stopped benefits or stopped people claiming them by changing the rules? These immigrants have been made the scapegoat to distract from the more serious issues going on in the UK at the moment. Before they could blame their failings on Europe, now they can blame the immigrants.
