  1. The souped-up MG4 is coming soon. Will it be available in Thailand? “0-62mph time will be 3.8 seconds” Yikes! https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/mg/mg4/360459/mg4-xpower-electric-hot-hatch-come-429bhp
  2. If I'm choosing between EV or ICE TODAY I am choosing EV every single time. However, it has to be something like a Porsche Taycan, a fantastic car that is very beautiful and goes very fast, especially since I'm extreme at living life to the full.
  3. I know someone who bought an XC40 about 3 months ago. I think I'll say nothing next time I see him!
  4. When you say slow charging, do you mean 7.4kW, ac? How come it’s free? The only free charging I can find these days is at some hotels as long as I stay overnight, or have a meal or a drink.
  5. Fascinating information! Thank you so much, 3NUMPTY.
  6. I've just read your post again and it's not very clear that that is what you meant to say. Here's what you say: "Please let me clarify. Yes you maybe able to go long distances but how long will it take??? I can travel with a 5 Min: fill up, and a full tank of diesel some 1000+ KM without a stop." Please try to make your posts easier to comprehend in the future. Thank you!
  7. That's great for you if you are comfortable doing a 1000km trip with no stops. If I was to undertake a 1000km trip, I would want to stop, at least twice, for a meal(s), a toilet break(s) and coffee(s). While I'm doing these things, the car is charging. I have driven 860 kms to Bangkok from Phuket many times in my EV. It has never taken me longer than when I used to go in my ICE vehicles.
  8. Googled and got this: Aspirin dosing is rooted in this history. The standard adult aspirin dose was 5 gr, or 325 mg in metric, the dose still used today for analgesia. Low-dose aspirin was one quarter of the standard dose, 1.25 grains, which converted to 81 mg. This dosing regimen has persisted to modern times.
  9. I guess it’s the same as glasses with photochromic lenses. The roof will darken the more bright the sun is.
  10. If you increase a number by 100%, you double it. I don't know about you, but that is not meaningless to me.
  11. Oh, we've been through hell and high water with PEA over the past 14 years. Enough! I'm too old and ugly to be bothered! But thanks for the suggestion.
  12. For the month of April - per unit: 6.12 baht inc. VAT. We live in a gated estate. That’s the PEA rate; no mark up by management.
  13. In my case, that’s not quite true. Once a month or so, at 6am, we take both our EVs to a local PTT EV Station PluZ and charge while my girlfriend shops in Makro (which opens at 6am). It suits because she likes to go to Makro at that time, regardless. The EV Station PluZ off peak rate is only 4.5 baht, so for two cars it’s a significant saving on what we pay at home for charging. By the time she has finished her shop, both cars are charged.
  14. What's "s-box" mean? You mention it in a later post also. Googling didn't help
  15. Where I come from (UK) it's a minibus or a minivan. It is definitely not a van.
  16. And likewise, ICE vehicles are (quite) fast until they run out of petrol or diesel.
  17. Once the car has reached 100% and finished charging, the ZSEV badge will not pulse, but will glow continuously with no pulsing. Once this light goes out, the battery has finished the balancing process. Something tells me you're not keen on reading manuals?
  18. Are you sure about that? My ZS, which is a 2019 model, balances the cells after a 100% charge is achieved. And the charging slows down from 80% to 100% to protect the battery.
