  1. Hopefully you're correct, but sounds like wishful thinking - got the link?
  2. Israelis killing in Iran or a US once off strike is a very different scenario to US declaring war on Hamas and killing in Iranian territory or indeed in Gaza.
  3. Have we seen the IDF decision making processes on whether to destroy a target or not? The IDF continually make the claim they are the most moral / ethical military in the world. That claim has worn extremely thin prior to and after Oct 7th to the point I and many others, including Israelis, no longer have any faith it that claim. A lot is now hidden by the Netanyahu right wing government with banning media critical of their actions (remind you of trump's threats?) . Any government banning critics of their actions, including local media, have some serious issues they wish to hide. I have made my point as have you, we disagree, no need to carry on.
  4. Many organisations are of the POV Israeli forces have not complied to the Rules of War and in fact are liable for War Crimes prosecution though we all know that will not happen. One only needs to view the daily reports coming out of Gaza and the West Bank of the indiscriminate killings. Such as one bombing today killing twenty children at a school. Not interested in your deflection, excuses and so on - it is unforgiveable
  5. Got a credible link confirming Hamas response to trump's threat will be to release the hostages? The only Hamas response I can locate is below.... https://www.newsweek.com/hamas-hits-back-trump-threat-1994943
  6. Not going to happen
  7. What, in your opinion can trump do by force, without in the process killing hostages, where Israeli combined forces have been unsuccessful? To date I don't believe Israeli forces have been constrained by Rules of War.
  8. Thanks, but MAGA indifference to trump and co's actions contravening long established and legal protocols
  9. I agree re hostages. But unless trump already has a secret agreement in place for when he takes the Oath Of Office and just red meat wind-up in the meantime, he really should keep his mouth closed otherwise conflicting approaches only confuse matters. The Israelis allegedly have already killed most of the Hamas leadership and fighters and presumedly know where any Hamas survivors are, just trump usual big mouth threats.
  10. Difference of opinion - you deflect and post blah, blah trying too be a MAGA supporter
  11. Go try, but Logan Act is very clear - one president at a time - it is also very clear trump is engaging in negotiations https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/trumps-envoy-meets-qatari-israeli-prime-ministers-ceasefire-push-2024-12-04/
  12. trump and co have zero regard to protocols. No point to respond further
  13. An example... https://www.israelhayom.com/2024/12/09/trumps-hostage-envoy-the-president-said-he-wants-the-hostages-and-he-will-get-them/ Plus trump endeavours to 'negotiate' by tweets / social media posts
  14. Woosh....
  15. There is no guarantee whatsoever that trump can positively contribute to the release of hostages in Gaza prior to his confirmation. . IMO it is not constructive to have two US separate political parties attempting to negotiate, just muddies the waters. However, let's see what happens in the coming month. Maybe Netanyahu has a secret agreement with trump to agree a hostage release deal just after his inauguration.
  16. No, trump isn't the 'man' until he's sworn in.
  17. Biden has not been declared as unable to fulfil his official fun functions, if he were, Kamala Harris would then be President until trump is sworn in.
  18. People reporting to trump, but not yet confirmed in their positions are negotiating. Under the Logan Act my understanding it is illegal for private individuals to negotiate with foreign governments / entities. i.e. One President at a time" during the transition period.
  19. I had understood that it is illegal for a President Elect to negotiate with foreign entities prior to taking the Oath of Office?
  20. The Israelis have been bombing Gaza for more than year and still bomb Gaza every day. So Does trump mean he's going to make the rubble bounce or indiscriminately kill more civilians?
  21. <snipped for brevity> Not to me as he's appointing sycophants for very important roles with little or no experience. As well as indulging in nepotism which I believe it not a good outlook for the American people.
  22. NATO fighter jets have been scrambled in Poland and along the Alliance's eastern flank as Vladimir Putin used strategic bombers and modern warplanes to unleash terror on Ukraine. NATO fighters are scrambled as Putin launches major attack
  23. <snipped for brevity> trump had meeting with country leaders before without actual positive outcomes for the US e.g. North Korea and PRC. Made to look foolish on a few occasions. So far as we know his current meetings as President Elect have not produced verifiable positive outcomes for the US. We will know results in say 1 / 2 years.
